  • Ebuka returns as host for Big Brother Naija

    M-Net West Africa has unveiled suave media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as host for Big Brother Naija Season 2.

     

    Ebuka would be returning to host the exceedingly anticipated third edition of the continent’s biggest reality show.

     

    This follows his successful hosting of the second edition of Big Brother Naija which saw Efe Ejeba win the coveted N25 Million prize money and SUV after three months in the Big Brother house.

     

    The Regional Director, M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu speaking on Ebuka’s reappearance described him as best host for the job.

     

    “We are thrilled to have Ebuka return as host of Big Brother Naija. This was the platform that unearthed his potential first as a housemate and then as a host, ultimately launching him to stardom.

     

    “He is a prime example of what the Big Brother platform offers, as he has proven over the years to be one of Nigeria’s biggest names in pop culture and entertainment whilst also lending his voice to youth empowerment initiatives. Fans and viewers alike are familiar with his cool, debonair and witty, on-air and on stage personality.

     

    “They are guaranteed to enjoy the excitement that he brings to the Big Brother Naija show,”‎ he said.

     

    Auditions for the third edition of Big Brother Naija were held in six locations across Nigeria, drawing huge crowd with the promise of 45 Million Naira worth of prizes available to the ultimate winner of the show.

    The talented singer released new pictures ahead of her nationwide tour tagged “Rage” and a new single which is set to drop this month.

    While in the Big Brother Naija house, she told fellow housemates how she ran out of her home because her dad, a pastor, would not let her attend the show.

    The Kogi born entertainer said:“Apart from the fact that my father is a pastor, I feel like I’m a typical girl with a good cultural upbringing from the north where parents are very protective of their children or they are just worried about the outside world like the city life”.

    The actress and model has been busy trying to maintain her relevance after BBNaija. Known for her flamboyant sense of style, the outspoken entertainer said she doesn’t love to talk about her failed marriage.

    According to her: “I’ve actually discussed this in so many interviews and I’ll still maintain my ground that I wish not to talk about my marriage, because it’s actually a dark part of my life that I wish not to ever visit again. All what I can say is that I was 19 to 20. I was quite naive. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to do what other girls were doing; get married, flaunt rings and all that. What matters is that I’m a survivor. I’m strong and I’m standing and I have a name”.

     

    Gifty who has been romantically linked with Mr2kay said she is not in a romantic relationship at the moment.

    Hear her:” The thing is that I’m not into any relationship. What I would say is that, right now, I’m focused on business. Whether men come or not, it’s fine by me. What I’m focused on right now is how to build a strong foundation, how to build a strong name for myself and my future kids, my family. Marriage would come but I’m not in a hurry”.

    With new achievements, comes new challenges, winner of Big Brother Naija 2017, Efe Ejeba, has exposed some of the ridiculous problems fans have been encumbering him with.

    The Warri-born rapper in a chat with Hip TV said some fans would ask for money to celebrate their birthdays, some would say they are stranded in Abuja and needed to book a flight to Enugu, while some others would call to present issues of the girls they impregnated for him to financially resolve.

     

    He maintained that when the financial demands became too much, he had to get a new phone line

    Ever since Big Brother Naija came to an end, Tokunbo Idowu a.k.a Tboss has been garnering buzz for her brand effortlessly. The controversial second runner-up of the 2017 Big Brother Naija reality TV show who recently reconciled with Kemen has stated that she is pretty hot and sexy. A declaration some of her fans term as prideful.

    Tboss who has been touted to be one of the sexiest Big Brother Naija housemates made the statement in response to a fan who taunt her about being fat. In her reaction, she said she is P.H.A.T(Pretty Hot And Sexy)not fat. Tboss made this known via her Snapchat page.

     

    Despite raining affirmative compliments on herself, some of her fans still don’t see the gold in her.A certain Victor said:” That’s how you tempted Kemen. Oh Lord Jesus lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil. Amen”

    Another interjected: ”I have seen comments calling her fat, ugly, bleached. We all know she is none of all that. But to feel good about themselves, they type it. It must be hard hating on someone this hot”.

    BBNaija star, Bisola set to unveil Youtube Channel

    BBNaija star and actress, Bisola Aiyeola has declared that she will be unveiling a YouTube channel which will help her stay in touch with her numerous fans. The actress who is known for her humourous vlogs even before her rise to stardom, has decided to go back to her first love.

     

    Contrary to what many expect from her, Bisola said her YouTube Channel will not just be about humour , but about other facets of life.

     

    “I have not posted a video of myself in a long time. I don’t post Instagram videos like I use to because I have a YouTube channel now and I will be uploading these videos to the YouTube channel,” she said.

     

    “It’s IAM BISOLA on YouTube and the first video would drop on Friday. Hope you would love it.

    Embattled Big Brother Naija 2017 housemates, TBoss and Kemen who were recently reconciled have revealed the real details behind Kemen’s disqualification during the show. Social media was the battle field where accusations and counter-accusations were thrown at TBoss and Kemen. While some TBoss fans accused Kemen of molesting the light-skinned beauty, Kemen’s fans also played the same card, blaming TBoss for allegedly consenting to Kemen slipping his hand into her pant. However, the duo have narrated the real details behind the drama that led to Kemen’s eviction.

    In a chat with Media Room Hub, Kemen narrated his own side of the story. According to him:” Tboss didn’t lay the accusation. I wish I and TBoss had an opportunity to talk and analyze the video before I was evicted. There was no touch down there, there was no touch. The whole issue of green light didn’t come in; we had a mutual relationship in the house. My disqualification was not because of slipping my hand into TBoss’ pant, because I didn’t do it.But there was a case of touching her without her consent. But people twisted it. I have always wanted to talk to TBoss. As we get along, I will make it up to TBoss. If TBoss gives me the opportunity, I’d love to work with her business wise.”

    TBoss in her account said she didn’t know Kemen was going to be disqualified. She added that she was shocked to hear of his disqualification, just like the other housemates.

    Hear her:” I didn’t know Kemen was going to be disqualified; I found out the moment other housemates found out. I didn’t speak about the incident because I wasn’t ready and I didn’t want to be put under pressure. I felt betrayed with the interviews Kemen gave after the house, but now I’m in a good place and I have forgiven him. Myself and Kemen are now good, BossNation please stop attacking him. Accepting to reconcile makes us stronger.But this does not mean I knew what happened that night. Let’s just move on” she said.

    Miyonse Oluwaseyi, popularly called Miyonse, former Big Brother Naija (#BBNaija) 2017 contestant says plans are underway for his new television show with focus on cooking and confectionery.

     

    “My TV show is coming out soon; it is a cooking show; however, I would not like to disclose more because the people I signed the contract with have not released an official statement.

    “Nevertheless, I do not like to make noise about my works before they come out; I will like them to speak for themselves,’’ he said.

     

    Miyonse said, “I am not an artiste, so you may not see me at some events; I am a chef; I cook for a living; I have signed two deals with two restaurants to cook with them every month.

     

    “Aside these, I have couple of other ideas that am working on; I believe everything will work together for good and by the grace of God, the sky will be a stepping stone.

    “However, I feel this is not the right time to release all these information; they are not something I want to release in haste.’’

     

    Miyonse who is also a trained chef said he was currently consulting in a new Culinary School based in Ilorin, Kwara State.

     

    The 25-year old graduate of mass communication from University of Lagos explained that the reason he has not been seen at some of the events along with his fellow housemates was because “I am a chef.’’

    Miyonse, self-acclaimed lover of good music and beauty, was evicted after spending just two weeks in the Big Brother house.

    His short stay in the house was eventful; he was romantically involved with fellow housemate, Tokunbo Idowu also known as `Tboss’ who referred to him as “my boo.’’

    Gifty Powers has a lot of things that worked against her which spurned her chances of winning the N25 million prize at this year’s Big Brother Naija.

    The controversial housemate took to her Instagram page to declare that she is a god saying people talk about you because they consider you as a subject of concern.

    She puts it this way:” People talk about you negatively or positively because they consider you as a subject of concern. So just relax and let the world talk about you because your Image matters a lot.I am a god”.

    After Big Brother Naija, Gifty has become a regular feature in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
