    The official unveiling ceremony for Big Brother Naija Winner, Efe Ejemba is currently holding at Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos.

    The crowd went wild when the bubbly Efe walked in. He was so excited he jumped on Bassey and on Thin Tall Tony. The other housemates spotted at the event are Bisola, Gifty, Soma, CocoIce and Jon who played the role of a fake housemate while on the show.

    Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show winner, Efe Ejemba has reunited with his family and friends. The Warri born entertainer was in high spirits as he was pictured with his old friends and family members.

    A certain close ally of Efe , Bunmi Gifty took to her Facebook page to share the story of how Efe was mocked when leaving for the reality TV show.

    According to her:”When EFE was about living for the big brother Nigeria show, some were making jest of him, some laughed at him, some wished him well, but It never occured to them that he’s going to come back victorious,they never thought he’s going be among the top 5,they never thought he’s going to bring the money home,but here he is, with his head high,smiling and jumping, people congratulating him. He is now a celebrity.


    ” When this same Efe was leaving for BBN, nobody noticed him, nobody looked at his face to know what was bothering him. And now everyone wants to touch him, talk to him, snap with him,because GOD has turned his situation around for good not only him, but that of his family.”

    Big Brother Naija has come and gone but the frenzy the show created amongst Nigerians will be remain indelible. During the show, one housemate that was an object of controversy was TBoss.

    The light skinned damsel ruffled a lot of feathers which led to her being up for eviction for seven times. Her actions and inaction generated buzz in the Big Brother house and also on social media.

    Days before the grand finale , she made a mess of the speech challenge and couldn’t sing a line of the national anthem.

    At the live screening of the finale, when Ebuka the host announced that she has been evicted, the crowd jubilated and rejoiced . Even her former housemates couldn’t hide their contempt for her.

    #BBNaija: Come holiday at Yankari Game Reserve, Gov Abubakar tells Efe

    Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State on Monday offered Efe (Ejeba Michael Efe), winner of Big Brother Naija 2017 (#BBnaija), some relaxation time at the famous Yankari Game Reserve.

    Efe who had been tipped as the show’s favourite raked in about 57.61 per cent of the over 26 million votes that the show recorded in the last week.

    He carted home the cash prize of N25 million and a KIA Sorrento SUV.

    TheNewsGuru.com reports that the 24 year old Delta state indigene won the competition out of the top five housemates including Bisola, Tboss, Debie-Rise and Marvis.

    The information was shared via the governor’s official twitter handle @GovMAA read, “ Congratulations @EfeMoney!

    “We welcome you to visit Yankari and our beautiful Bauchi State FREE! Come, rest and #ExploreBauchi #BBNaija.’’

    Yankari National Park is a large wildlife park located in the south-central part of Bauchi State, in northeastern Nigeria and is home to several natural warm water springs.

    Yankari was originally created as a game reserve in 1956, but later designated Nigeria’s biggest national park in 1991 and is described as the most popular destination for tourists in Nigeria.

    The reserve plays a crucial role in the development and promotion of tourism and ecotourism in Nigeria.

    It is also one of the most popular eco-destinations in West Africa.

    #BBNaija 2017: The crowning of Efe

    Housemate, Efe secured 57.61 per cent of votes to emerge winner of the 2017 Big Brother Naija ‘See Goobe’ reality TV show on Sunday.

    The Warri-born up and coming rap artist beat Bisola, who became the 1st runner up with 18.54 per cent of the vote at the grand finale.

    Tboss scored 13.60 per cent to emerge the 2nd runner up; Debie-Rise 8.78 per cent, 3rd runner up while Marvis scored 1.47 per cent.

    Efe was given a brand new Kia Sorento SUV and N25 million naira cash prize.

    Efe who had never failed to stress that he was real was nominated for eviction in January and March but survived.

    The economics graduate had stressed that his humility, simplicity and being real would make him win the hearts of viewers.

    His emergence came after Marvis, Debie-Rise and Tboss were evicted during the grand finale.

    Efe who was Marvis’ love interest in the house said in spite of the attraction between them, he was careful not to do anything that could jeopardise his stay in the house.

    He was Head of House once and had been very active in most games and tasks in the Big Brother House.

    He had actively participated in the ONE Campaign song, the video shoot, drama and others.

    He had always been delight of the party during the usual Saturday night party in the house.

    Efe, during Davido’s visit said if he won the grand prize, he would use it to push his music career to the next level

    Earlier in the run-up to his announcement, Bisola, was announced the winner of the One Campaign.

    Bisola’s winning the One Campaign appeared to be an anti-climax.

    The One campaign will make Bisola represent Nigeria at the United Nations later.

    High point of the grand finale was musical performances by Tiwa Savage, Emmy Gee featuring AB Crazy and Tuface Idibia.

    The eleven week long reality show Big Brother Naija has come to an end and a winner has been announced. Going by the level of buzz among viewers in the last couple of weeks ,one can easily predict that Efe would win. Efe has now emerged the winner against all odds.

    So what made Efe win?

    1. Massive votes

    At the end of the day, a winner will be picked not by social media buzz or support, but by the individuals who actually voted. Efe had a lot of support on social media, celebrities made videos pledging their support, campaigns were done on his behalf, and all these resulted into his victory.

     

    1. Connecting to the streets

    Efe’s strong point was his ability to connect to the streets, to the ghetto, to individuals who rose from humble beginnings. The average Nigerian can connect to Efe’s authenticity and story. They saw themselves in Efe. This further garnered more votes for him. Viewers know what they want and they gave their votes to Efe.

    1. Celebrity advantage

    Nigerian celebrities on social media put their weight behind Efe. We cannot ignore the power of celebrity advantage in Efe’s victory. From Basketmouth to I Go Dye, Akpororo and others supported their own. This celeb endorsement and influence gave Efe more leverage compared to the other housemates. I Go Dye was said to have given out N1m naira in order to aid Efe’s votes. Based on logistics, Efe is the winner of Big Brother Naija, 2017.

    4. ‘Warri’ factor

    ‘Warri no dey carry last’ that’s how the saying goes. Warri being one of the hubs of entertainment in Nigeria was a major reason Efe won. Warri residents and indigenes saw BBNaija as an opportunity to support one of their own and propagate Warri culture, tradition and mannerisms

    5. Viral speech challenge video

    During the reality TV show, Big Brother gave the final five housemates an opportunity to campaign via a speech challenge. Efe made great use of the opportunity, telling his story, connecting to the audience and maximizing pidgin English as a tool to further appeal to his fan base. Little wonder, he emerged the winner

    At this stage, Tokunbo Idowu popularly known as TBoss is the most talked about and controversial Big Brother Naija Housemate. In an interview her former housemate Bally says it was difficult living with her, stating that she is difficult to understand.Now that the winner has been unveiled, TBoss fans fondly called #TBossnation are asking questions wondering why she lost out on the SUV and 25million naira grand prize.

    1. She couldn’t sing our national anthem

    Being able to sing your country’s national anthem is a thing of joy and pride, but out dearest TBoss flunked at it . To make ti worse, her elder sister sang it on her behalf in a despicable viral video . I have nothing against the beautiful TBoss but she should be held accountable for not being able to sing the national anthem on a live international programme. The national anthem shouldn’t be a song we take for granted like TBoss.

     

    1. Avoidable drama and controversy

    Though Big Brother Naija has helped TBoss gain exposure and build her self esteem, people refuse to vote for her because of the dramas and controversies she was enmeshed in, during the reality TV show. From the Kemen issue to fighting with Bally, Bisola and then Debie Rise, TBoss gained a reputation for becoming a controversy magnet on the show. Perhaps, Nigerians felt a controversial person doesn’t deserve their votes.

     

    3.Loose words

    Just like anybody else, Whenever TBoss is angry, some loose words comes out of her. She has a penchant for expressing herself, and in doing that she utters words she isn’t supposed to utter

    During a conversation with Efe she said:” If I win the 25m today, I will spend the money before next week, it’s not about the money but the relation built here can end up giving you more than 25m.

    “Serious, my life has never been based on money, I have people hitting on me that have several private jets but I’m here with you people, we are all fighting this fight, competing for the prize, I’m not trying to cheat or disrespect anyone.”
