BBNaija: “I saw the confidence I never saw in myself in Khalid”, Daniella reveals what attracted her

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, “Level Up” finalist, Daniella Peters, has revealed why she got attracted to her former love interest, Khalid, while in the house, saying “I saw the confidence I never saw in myself in Khalid”.

During an interview with media personality, Miz Vick, Daniella answered the question of how she got attracted to Khalid.

In her response, she shared that she saw the confidence she never saw in herself in Khalid, and that was what got her attracted to him.

She also realized that there were many things she could learn from him.

The reality TV stars had things going well for them before Khalid’s exit from the show. The show witnessed Daniella getting close to Dotun.

Although she affirmed her stance with Khalid severally, Daniella always saw herself falling back into Dotun‘s arms.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Daniella had asked for forgiveness from Khalid over her intimacy with Dotun on the reality TV show.

Daniella and Dotun became close after Khalid’s eviction from the show, leaving fans to question the seriousness of her relationship with Khalid who she also shared intimate moments.

During an interview with the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu after the finale, Daniella stated that she owes Khalid an apology for crossing certain boundaries. She also promised to talk to her ex-lover about the possibility of a “fresh start.”

“I feel like I owe him an apology for passing many boundaries, So when I talk to him, I’ll see what happens next,” she said.

Two weeks after Khalid’s eviction, Daniella, who is also a poet, got into an intimate relationship with Dotun.

When asked by Bella if she was excited about being with Dotun after Khalid’s eviction, she replied saying, “I was not excited getting to know Dotun. I don’t really care to know him anymore.”

Although Daniella said she wanted a relationship with Dotun during the first week in the house, the latter revealed he wanted them to be ‘just good friends’, which prompted her to move on to Khalid.

According to her, ‘It was Dotun first. Dotun was the only person I actually liked. We spoke at our first party and after our first conversation, I was like ‘This was going on well.’ And then he made a last statement and said ‘I think we’ll make really good friends’. I was like okay cos I work with words. I zeroed my mind then. I had to start giving Khalid attention.”

Daniella had earlier expressed her displeasure to Biggie in one of her diary sessions that she regrets going forth with her relationship with Dotun as it seems disrespectful to Khalid.

Nigerian Medical Association reacts over Rico Swavey’s death

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has called for calm and appealed to the general public to allow proper investigation into the death of ex-Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Rico Swavey was involved in a car accident on October 11 and was rushed to Doren Specialist Hospital, Ajah but succumbed to injuries on October 13 at a different medical facility.

A yet-to-be-identified person recorded and posted on social media a 30-seconds video of Swavey on oxygen while health workers struggled to lift him. The short clip sparked outrage, condemnation and allegations against the healthcare workers and Doren Hospital.

The NMA disclosed that the association is working with the Lagos State Government and relevant agencies to investigate the unethical filming of the late ex-BBNaija housemate at Doren Specialist Hospital.

In a statement signed by Dr Benjamin Olowojebutu and Dr Ismail Ajibowo, the Chairman and Secretary of NMA Lagos Zone, on Monday in Lagos the association said it was aware of media reports about the incident surrounding the death of Swavey and the alleged involvement of Doren Specialist Hospital, Ajah.

“We want to appeal to the general public that we allow all statutory bodies that have the power to investigate the matter to conclude their findings and give a detailed report. Passing a guilty verdict on healthcare workers before the investigation is concluded will not do any good to anybody. We appeal for calm and let us allow the law to take its course,” the statement reads.

The NMA in the statement commiserated with the family of the deceased and his loved ones and pray for the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

Meanwhile, the management of Doren Specialist Hospital, in a statement distanced the involvement of its staff in the recording of Swavey’s video.

Also, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, said that the state had commenced an investigation into the incident.

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) had also shown interest in the incident.

“#RICOSWAVEY DID NOT DIE AT DOREN HOSPITAL ? AJAH (LEFT) BUT IN ANOTHER HOSPITAL ICU IN THE AREA AS PICTURED (RIGHT) DOREN ALSO HAS AN ICU BUT THERE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN AN ER DOCTOR AVAILABLE I WAS TOLD. I HAVE DONE TWO EMERGENCY FOOT SURGERIES THERE POSTED ON THIS PAGE.”

She added: “#Breaking Doren Specialist hospital has exclusively released a statement to me before the rest of the media. It is going on letterhead shortly. I requested it asap. I’m not doing PR for my hospital but as a journalist and patient who had two emergency surgeries #ripricoswavey.”

In her words: “I got all the closure that I needed as at that time, all the insight that I needed that time, I stayed prayed up and with God’s help today I’m actually very happy and ready”.

BBNaija is devil incarnate misleading Nigerian youths – MURIC

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has condemned Big Brother Naija’s reality TV show saying it is a tool for misleading the Nigerian youths due to its content.

MURIC has supported calls by Chief Segun Runsewe for the National Assembly (NASS) to give the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) powers to go after BBNaija for the purpose of stopping nudity.

This is contained in a statement by Group Director, MURIC, Prof. Ishaq Akintola on Sunday in Abuja

“The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Segun Runsewe on Oct. 4 called on the National Assembly (NASS) to give his agency powers to go after BB Naija in order to stop nudity in the reality TV show.

“The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) supports Runsewe’s call and we see no reason why the NASS will hesitate to give him all necessary backing. Big Brother Naija’s reality TV show is the devil incarnate misleading Nigerian youth.

“MURIC has been consistent in its condemnation of BB Naija. We can recall two separate statements issued on the reality TV show. On July 12, 2019, we made a statement titled ‘Ban BB Naija,” Akintola said.

He added: “Again on Oct. 8, 2020, we issued another statement under the caption ‘MURIC Chides Ogun Governor Over BB Naija Gifts’.

“That was when the governor gave a bungalow and N5 million cash to the winner of the reality TV show. We saw the governor’s action as idolising immorality and demonising discipline. We described his action as ‘disappointing, disgusting, misplaced and myopic.

“We call on the NASS to listen to Runsewe. It is the voice of reason. BB Naija is forcibly dragging our youths to a world of nudity, debauchery, and shamelessness. BB Naija constitutes a potent threat to every home. It is open rape on our cultures, values, and norms. BB Naija is luciferous.

“The NASS will have its name indelibly carved in letters of gold if it hearkens to the plea made by Runsewe. His appeal has revealed the weakness in our legal system. It has revealed that there are no extant laws powerful enough to stop romance and sex on our television channels. The time to give the law the teeth to bite is now.”
