    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Natasha Akide, Tacha, has expressed her interest in pursuing a career in politics.

    In a recent interview with Ebuka, the BBNaija star, who was born and raised in Port Harcourt, expressed disappointment with the current situation in Rivers State, highlighting its untapped potential.

    Tacha shared her views on the importance of youth involvement in governance, highlighting opportunities and talents that are not being fully utilized.

    She said, “When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen.

    She noted that it’s more effective to actively participate in the government to bring about change, rather than criticizing from the outside.

    When asked about her political ambitions, Tacha revealed that she is working on something and will share more details once she is 70% ready.

    Tacha said, “It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.

    The organisers of the most-watched reality TV show in Africa, Big Brother Naija, Multichoice Nigeria Ltd, have announced the official start date of its Season 10 edition as Sunday, July 27.

    According to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the show host, the reality show unveils a new season ‐ the 10th – with the opening nights slated for Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, 2025.

    Obi-Uchendu, who reeled out the details, said for nine previous seasons, “it has been 709 days of Entertainment and 197 Housemates so far. The total prize money given so far is N637 Million.”

    The Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels of Multichoice, Busola Tejumola stated that this year edition which is in its tenth season has many things for viewers, sponsors and others to enjoy.

    She stated that the cash prize for the 10th season winner was up to N150m.

    Multichoice Nigeria, organiser of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show has officially announced June 23 for the premiere of its highly anticipated season 9 edition reunion show titled ‘No Loose Guard’ housemates reunion.

    Multichoice made the announcement via its social media platforms, showcasing a photo of the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, alongside some of the housemates.

    According to the organiser, the reunion will come with new energy,  drama and excitement, as the 2024 housemates return with heightened emotions.

    “Old beef, new energy, new drama. You favorites are coming in hot. #BBNaijaReunion starts on 23 June at 10:00pm. Set your alarms,” it wrote.

    It said that the programme would  be aired on Africa Magic Showcase and  Africa Magic Family, as well as DStv and GOtv platforms.

    BBNaija’s KiddWaya seeks donation for victims of Benue’s attack

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, KiddWaya, has taken to social media to solicit for funds Nigerians  for victims of the Yelewata tragedy in Benue state.

    In a statement released via his social media pages on Wednesday, the Nigerian reality star, mentioned that no amount is too little to support those who lost their properties during the recent upheaval in Benue state.

    The statement reads: “A Call to All Nigerians: Let’s Stand With Benue.

    Our brothers and sisters in Benue are suffering. Communities have been torn apart by violent attacks, leaving families displaced, hungry, and grieving.

    “This is not just a Benue crisis, it’s a Nigerian crisis. And now more than ever, we need to come together as one people.

    “At the Kiddwaya Foundation, we are mobilizing resources to provide food, shelter, and essential support to those affected. But we can’t do it alone, we need your help.

    Frodd, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has recounted a painful chapter of his childhood, revealing how he was sexually abused by multiple domestic workers from the age of five until he was nine.

    The father of two, through his verified Instagram, shared his harrowing experience on Friday to raise awareness and encourage parents to be more vigilant about their children’s interactions with adults.

    “As a child, I was physically molested from the age of 5 to about 9 by different house helps we had except for the lady that nurtured me at my baby stage (Aunty Chinenye). The rest may be reading this or they may be in different parts of the world, plus a certain neighbour,” Frodd revealed.

    Using his own story as a cautionary tale, Frodd urged parents to closely observe their children’s reactions around adults. He stressed the importance of recognizing subtle signs of discomfort or inappropriate attraction., saying, “When your little boy or girl starts becoming attracted or irritated by a big aunty or uncle (watch those aunty’s well), We couldn’t speak then because parents didn’t give us that relationship and they never read the room.”

    MultiChoice, the organisers of the popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, have officially revealed the audition schedule for its eagerly awaited tenth season.

    According to the reality star organisers, via a post on 𝕏, contestants who are interested in this edition, should sign up for the online audition set to occur from May 3 to May 7, 2025.

    TheNewsGuru reports that candidates who will be chosen, will be invited to attend in-person auditions, which will take place across three cities over a span of three days.

    The post reads: “Think you’ve got what it takes to be Season 10 Certified? Prove it.#BBNaija Season 10 auditions are live!.

    “Register from May 3–7 to qualify for the physical auditions. 3 cities. 3 days. Limited slots. Secure your spot now.”

    She disclosed this via her official Instagram page on Sunday, describing it as ‘the purest form of love’.

    Nengi posted clips from her pregnancy journey up until the moment of her baby’s birth.

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Angel JB smith has come under heavy criticism for advising women on ways to prevent getting pregnant.

    This comes after the reality star, tweeted on X( formerly Twitter), advising women to start using their ‘BumBum. The remark which did not sit well with fans gathered a mixture of reactions  with some finding humor in her statement and others criticizing her to addressing the situation.

    The post, which Angel intended to be playful, suggested that women should make use of alternative methods.

    “So many bad bitches getting pregnant, y’all need to start using your bum bum. Omg”, she wrote.

    Responding to a fan who teased that the reality star herself might be the next to announce a pregnancy, she quickly shut down the speculation, replying, “No, I’m not Ty.”

    Halima Hassan, the mother of Rico Swavey, late Big Brother Naija star has opened up on how she is coping with the emotional toll that came with losing her son to the cold hands of death.

    It would be recalled that the reality star, died on October 13, 2022 days after he was involved in a ghastly car accident and was buried in Lagos on October 20 of the same year.

    In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Mrs Hassan opened up, on her grief, revealing she still talks to Rico’s photos which are hung around her home, adding that she shares her daily routine as if he were present.

    According to Mrs Hassan, the daily ritual brings her comfort and helps her cope with the loss. She said she made a promise to Rico after he was taken off life support.

    “When he passed on, why I requested to stay with him at that very moment, I said to him ‘the music that you could not bring out, I will help you bring them out, I will do the remaining work for you, I am not going to let your hard work just go like that,’” she said.

    “I still have Rico’s pictures all over the house. Every time I look at him, I smile and I say ‘Rico it’s another day for me, I am going out today’ and I will try to talk to the picture to tell him what I am doing for the day, then I will leave. I say my prayers every morning. Tell God to give me the courage to move on with my life.”
