    BBNaija: Hermes wins head of house as Chichi emerges tail

    Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Hermes has won the second week head of house game to emerge as the second head of house in the ongoing reality TV show.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Hermes won the HoH title with the most balls in his bucket, beating Cyph and Dotun, who had only three balls respectively, in the final round of the game.

    Before Hermes, who is from the level 1 house, emerged HoH, Khalid and Chomzy finished first but did not finish right and, therefore, did not advance to the next round.

    The new head of the house has the opportunity to nominate five housemates for possible eviction but is not allowed to mention to any housemates the names of those nominated. He and his co-level 1 housemates are immune from being nominated for possible eviction.

    Meanwhile, Chichi emerged as the first Tail of House for this week for her poor performance during the HoH Game. For mishandling his microphone during the game, Dotun joined her as the second Tail of House for the week.

    TNG reports Eloswag was not eligible to participate in the game. He was the head of house for the first week of the BBNaija season 7.

    The 26 housemates currently on the show are bidding for the grand prize of N100 million.

    Moments after one of the fake housemates, Ayodeji Morafa, claimed to have a complicated relationship, a young lady known on twitter as @coco mide, took to her social media platform to cry after seeing that someone she snubbed is in the BBNaija house.

     

    The lady made this revelation moments after the host, Ebuka welcomed Deji on stage and sent him to the house.

     

    Her post on twitter included some crying emojis which showed that she regretted probably not giving him any attention.

    It would be recalled that after Saturday’s passionate kisses and flirty moves at the Big Brother Naija Level Up season night party, the reality TV show witnessed a new twist on Sunday night as Biggie introduced two fake Housemates, Ayodeji and an actress, Modella Apet.

    Unveiling the two fake Housemates, the host- Ebuka Obi Uchendu, said Ayodeji and Modella will be carrying out some duties in the coming days and viewers should look out for this.

     

    Ayodeji and Modella were welcomed into the House by the other 24 Housemates.

     

    Previously, the 24 housemates were divided into two (2) houses: Level 1 and Level 2.

     

    Ayodeji was welcomed by the level 1 housemates, which automatically make them 13 in numbers.

    TheNewsGuru.com reports that Deji, who hails from Lagos State said he would bring the lover boy vibe into the house.

     

    According to Ayodeji, he is a lover of gist, food, and partying.

     

    Modella, who is a YouTuber and actress, is from Osun State and promised to bring vibes and energy to the house.

    In her introductory video, Modella described herself as the “content Queen” the house needs.

     

    She starred in Kayode Peters’ Crazy Grannies.

     

    The new season of Big Brother Naija started officially on the 24th of July following the second launch, which ushered in final housemates.

    One of the housemates Beauty who disagreed with another housemate Ilebaye has gotten the first strike in this year’s BBnaija.

    Beauty, on Saturday night, engaged in a heated argument with fellow housemate, Ilebaye.

    Recall that Biggie had summoned Beauty after she attacked Ilebaye for cautioning her.

    After the night party, she attacked Ilebaye for taking sides with Chomzy who was her roommate at the hotel before the show.

    The 24-year-old ex-beauty queen was angry with Groovy for dancing with Chomzy, a Level 1 housemate at the Saturday night party.

    Beauty, who is Groovy’s love interest, felt disrespected that he danced with Chomzy whom she had issues.

    However, when Ilebaye tried to caution Beauty against raising her voice, the Plateau State-born got angry, walked up to Ilebaye who was seated at the dining table, and forcefully removed her wig.

    Although Ilebaye did not react as she remained seated in the dining, Biggie issued her a warning for not respecting boundaries.

    Biggie said, “you have been issued a strike for charging at Ilebaye and removing items on her body.”

    This is the first strike for the ‘level up’ season.

    Beauty stands a risk of being evicted if she receives more than two strikes in quick succession.

    Just a week into the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show, tagged “Level Up”, two more housemates have been introduced into the “Level 1” and “Level 2” houses of the show.

    The new housemates were introduced on Sunday during the eviction night show to join the other 24  housemates in bidding for the grand prize of N100 million.

    While the housemates were expecting some of their co-housemates to be evicted, they were shocked to receive an addition.

    One of the new housemates, Deji from Lagos State, said his physical outlook makes him special as he confessed to be in a complicated relationship but ready to mingle. He said his hobbies were gisting, sleeping and partying.

    “I am going to be real as much as possible, spontaneous, unpredictable and will be a lover boy,” he said.

    Another new housemate, Modella from Osun described herself as the content queen the house needed

    “I am special because I am  multi-talented and a content creator which makes me stand out anywhere I go, I am fun to be with.

    “On the scale of 100, I am 100 per cent excited to be here on the show, I will be bringing in lots of energy and vibes,” she said.

    Earlier, before the eviction show, Biggie the coordinator of the show issued Beauty a strike and Ilebaye a warning after the duo engaged in a hot argument which had Beauty charging at Ilebaye, violently removing her cap.

    Biggie encouraged the housemates to get themselves familiarised with all the house rules, have fun and always find ways of dealing with all disagreements without engaging in violence.

    He warned the housemates that dragging of feet while he calls out on them would no longer be tolerated.

    The housemates currently on the show are: Bella, Eloswag, Doyin, Adekunle, Sheggz, Dotun, Chomzy, Chichi, Allysyn, Giddyfia, Hermes, Diana, Modella, Deji, Khalid, Ilebaje, Beauty, Cyph, Grovy, Amaka, Kess, Daniella, Pharmsavi, Phyna, Bryan and Christy O.

    MizVick announced as co-host of BBNaija live eviction shows

    MultiChoice Nigeria has announced media personality, Victoria Eze, popularly called MizVick, as co-host of the Big Brother Naija  “Level Up”  Sunday eviction shows.

    Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

    Tejumola said the announcement came as MizVick, who was popular for hosting the BBNaija weekly recap show, ‘Unlocked’, and the red carpet of the ‘Shine Your Eye’ Reunion show; recently co-hosted the weekend launch show with Ebuka.

    “We are creating the ultimate Big Brother Naija experience both within and outside the house.

    “With double launch shows, two houses and now two hosts, the game is definitely levelled up.

    “The Sunday live shows are the week’s highlights during every season as they see the eviction of at least one housemate,” she said.

    Speaking on her announcement as co-host, MizVick said: “It feels really good to be a major part of this season’s Big Brother Naija.

    “I am very stoked about the unfiltered conversations I will be having with the evicted housemates in a bid to get the juiciest gist for the fans.”

    The seventh season of Big Brother Naija tagged Level Up, has 24 housemates in two houses vying for the ultimate title of BBNaija Level Up winner and the N100 million grand prize.

    This season, the show airs on two DStv channels (channel 198 and 199), two GOtv channels (channel 29 and 8) and Showmax. The fans’ favourite Ninjas are also back to add to the excitement.

    Fans can also catch the show anywhere they are across Sub-saharan Africa, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland on Showmax.

    Big Brother Naija housemate, Chichi has said she would never be ashamed of her hustle as it has saved her life.

    According to her: “I’m a bad bitch, I’m proud of my hustle. Stripping saved my life, you don’t want to know where I was before stripping.”

    Amid talks of her life as a stripper, Chichi further disclosed that she was one of the dancers that got close enough to share moments with American rapper Cardi B during her visit to Nigeria in December 2019.

    BBNaija: Level 2 housemates win talent show challenge

    Level 2 housemates of the ongoing television reality show, Big Brother Naija season 7, on Friday won the talent showcase challenge.

    This was disclosed by Biggie, the coordinator of the show upon completion of the task by the housemates, after going through three rounds of presentations.

    He hinted that the housemates were assessed based on their level of creativity, originality, presentation and organisation.

    He said that with level 2 housemates emerging winners of the talent showcase challenge, they had automatically won their wager for the week.

    He said each of the winners would be credited with “1,500 Pocket Naira”, to be used for their shopping on Saturday when the shopping card would be opened while the losing team would have to survive on the bare minimum.

    According to Biggie,  only the winning team would have access to the pool party and the Saturday party.

    The housemates in Level 1 and 2 houses were divided into three groups each and were made to make drama and musical presentations to exhibit their talents as well as presentation of an anthem for each  house.

    In the course of the presentation, Khalid’s artistic talent in drawing was obvious, Bryann and many others also displayed their musical talents.

    The 24 housemates continue to bid for the grand prize of N100 million.

    An ex-BBNaija housemate and creative personality, Elozonam Ogbulu, is set to have exclusive conversations with evicted BBNaija Level Up housemates on the first-ever BBNaija eviction vodcast.

    A statement from Info Digital Africa (ID Africa), PR consultant to the ongoing BBNaija reality TV show, said that the eviction vodcast was an up close and personal conversation with the evicted housemates, as they share their experiences in Big Brother’s House.

    The statement said that the eviction vodcast would take a deep dive into what it was like for them to “bare it all” on the show.

    “The first episode will drop in August, with episodes available on DStv Catch Up and Showmax.

    “The multi-talented creative personality is no stranger to the show as he was a housemate in the BBNaija “Pepper Dem” season.

    “He has gone on to make a name for himself as one of the most creative housemates in the show’s history due to his impressive content, including skits, commercials and microfilms.

    “In 2018, he hosted his show “The Cliffhanger”, where he sat down in conversations with young personalities, including some ex-BBNaija housemates,” it said.

    In his response, Elozonam said, “I’m excited to be hosting this vodcast and getting the chance to have honest conversations with the evicted housemates.

    “As an ex-BBNaija housemate myself, I have an idea of what the experience is like and that knowledge will surely come into play in my conversations with the Level Up housemates.”

    According to the statement, the BBNaija experience on Showmax for fans this year is on the next level with lots of BBNaija content.

    “The contents include the exclusive talk show BBNaija S7: the Buzz, hosted by media personality, Toke Makinwa, the eviction vodcast, and Secret Diaries, which are short clips from the Diary Room and daily and weekly highlights episodes to download to your phone to watch later.

    “For the second year in a row, BBNaija fans across sub-Saharan Africa, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland are enjoying front row access to all the activities in the Big Brother houses on Showmax.

    Eloswag, one of the “Level 1” housemates of the ongoing television reality show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has emerged the head of house for the first week.

    This was announced by Biggie, the coordinator of the show upon the completion of the head of-house task on Monday.

    Eloswag was officially crowned and given the head of house mantle to rule the house for the week.

    Biggie further announced that in compensation for Eloswag, he remained immune for nomination by co-housemates for possible eviction, this also had all his co-housemates in the level 1 house immuned for possible eviction.

    He also said the head of house would have the order to nominate housemates for possible eviction but he is not allowed to mention to any housemate the names of those nominated.

    After the first stage of the head of house task, eight housemates were disqualified from the head of house games having circumvented the process of the games.

    These housemates were: Bella, Christy O, Daniella, Diana, Phyna, Hermes, Grovey and Giddyfia.

    Also Khalid and Dotun were also disqualified after flouting the rule of the second task as Biggie declared Bella as the first tail of the house.

    The housemates in level 1 and level 2  houses, for the first time came together at the arena to play the head of house games as they were excited and seen hugging one another.

    The housemates are bidding for the grand prize of N100 million.
