    BBNaija: I nominated Whitemoney because I don’t trust him – Maria

    Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Maria, has stated that she nominated Whitemoney for possible eviction because she doesn’t trust him.

    She made this known in a Diary Session on Tuesday, day 31 of the show, when she was asked why she nominated Queen and Whitemoney on Monday.

    For Queen, Maria said, “She’s like the least person I’ve bonded with. So that was my reason.”

    Recounting her reasons for nominating Whitemoney, she said, “These are my observations. I don’t know but there’s something about him. He’s tricky. He’s not genuine and that’s my observation. I might be wrong but that’s what I’m observing so I just run with it.

    “He’s not genuine. He does things for the sake of it and I don’t like that.

    “Obviously, no one has to be completely real. I have secrets that I hide. But he knows what he’s doing and I can see through him so that’s why I chose him. I don’t trust him.

    “But that’s okay if that’s his tactics. I don’t know what I should call it but I don’t go with it. So that’s my reason.”

    Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemates, Pere, Maria and JMK were stunned last night when they were issued a strike

    The housemates were given a strike for microphone infringement.

    Biggie played a clip showing where Maria was warned for microphone infringement.

    According to Article 19, which Biggie read, if any housemate tampers with microphone or damages it, Big Brother reserved the right to issue a strike or disqualify the housemate.

    The clip where she asked Pere to remove his microphone was among the videos played for the housemates on Monday night.

    Biggie said: “You have been warned against infringing on the rules of Biggie house, particularly regarding whispering and speaking in hush tones.

    “You are not supposed to remove your microphone or damage your microphone.

    “You have used several excuses to justify your actions, you seem to comprehend that what you’re doing is absolutely unacceptable.

    “Some days, it seems like some of you have chosen to intentionally flout the rules to be used as scape goats or test Big Brother’s patience.”

    Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Maria, declined a special movie date from Liquorose, claiming that she can’t be around fake people.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that after winning the Head of House position on Monday night, Liquorose was given a special reward to watch a movie with four housemates.

    Liquorose picked Maria, Whitemoney, Emmanuel and Tega for the movie night at the Executive Lounge.

    When it was almost time for the chosen housemates to select a movie, Maria opted out of the date, stating that she can’t be around fake people.

    Maria said, “Ask Biggy if you can pick someone else. I don’t want. You people should pick. Honestly, it’s nothing. My mind is not there to watch film.

    “I don’t want to kill it for you people. Ask Biggie if they can pick someone else. I don’t want their movie, they can eat their movie.”

    “I don’t want to be around people that don’t want to be around people. Anything you people choose, I’m not really in the mood to watch any movie.”

    Maria then walked away from the group to meet other housemates in the garden. While she was going, she said, “How will I go to the movie theater with people I don’t want to be sat with? Is that one not killing myself?

    “I don’t know the people that have been called for the movie. I don’t want to indulge with anybody else. People will come to you and be fake, later they’ll be laughing.”

    Nini then told her that she should just go and watch the movie because of her close friend, Liquorose.

    Maria pointed out that if it was just her and Liquorose, she would have gone but she can’t be with the rest of the people.

    After her rejection, the housemates who finally watched the movie were Liquorose, Whitemoney, Tega, Emmanuel, and Queen.

    EFCC officials met me near naked at home -Dorathy Bachor

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday morning broke into former BBNaija housemate, Dorathy Bachor’s apartment.

    Dorathy revealed this on her Instagram story as she lamented over the sad incident.

    Recounting the incident, Dorathy expressed frustration at how unsafe it is to be a Nigerian.

    On her Instagram story, she said: “I feel like my head is about to explode.

     

    “At 4:45 I heard a loud sound and voices followed, I rushed out almost naked to see five fully armed EFCC men in my living room and one of them saying ‘Oh na that Big brother girl be this’.

    “In my confused state I was trying to understand why they broke down my door. Then one of them said they were looking for someone who ran into the estate and I should lock my door and stay indoors and not say a word.

    “I’m shaking at this point and so confused because at what point is this Okay.

    “What is the need of being a citizen of this country when I can’t feel safe in my own house.”

     

    Her statement has triggered several reactions from Nigerians on social media.

    The first runner-up at the third edition of Big Brother Naija, Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Cee-C has averred that she feels comfortable when people compare her to Tacha and Erica who were once disqualified from the show.

     

    Speaking in a chat with media personality, she said:” People are not used to strong women or women that have strong opinions. So they will always remember the ones that have been like that. No I loved it because it felt like being the first that actually came and did different from what every other person did on the show. I made people feel comfortable to feel safe and go on the show and be themselves. Because I was myself, I came out and I turned out great. By being myself, I made them comfortable and safe to be themselves. They are doing amazing, they are doing well”.

     

    Asked why people have a scary perception about her, Cee-c who also doubles as an entrepreneur said :”I haven’t allowed society influence me, I am still who I am. You can see that I am all about my goals, being the best version of myself. I also have high standards. Anybody who is always trying to be who the person was yesterday, I mean you should be scared of the person. I think they see all of that, may be it scares them”.

     

    Cee-c also noted that though she is a very sensitive person, but Oluwabamike Olawunmi, better known as Bambam taught her to be calm.

     

    “I am a very sensitive person but I have learnt how to control myself. I have learnt how to be calm. I learnt it from someone in the Big Brother House, Bambam. She is always calm no matter what is going on. That is one thing I actually admired about her. I will give her the credit, she is such a calm person. That is one thing I took from her in the house, she is so calm”

    Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Liquorose, has said that she will visit a therapist after the show because of her mental health.

    Liquorose revealed this during her Diary Session on Friday, day 27 of the show, when Big Brother asked her to share her thoughts on the topic of mental health, which the housemates have been tasked with.

    Sharing her personal experience, she said, “My case was different because I was depressed and I have two stages of mental health issues.

    “I’ve kept it to myself for a while. I actually talked about one with friends and all of that and I’ve been able to get myself out of it.

    “For the other one, I’m still in the process of trying to get out. I’m sure that after the show, I think I’ll be ready to see a therapist to talk with but I’m having it fine because, during the house, I have been able to talk to few people that ‘hey, I’m going through this or that.’ So I feel that more attention should be paid to mental health.”

    Cross, one of the vibrant housemates in the ongoing reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, popularly known as BBNaija, has revealed that he attempted taking his own life twice before joining the show.

    He made this known on Friday during a diary session with Big Brother.

    Cross, who was speaking on a task by Big Brother titled “Mental health” for presentation in subsequent show, urged the Nigerian health sector to take the issue of mental health seriously as a means of alleviating suicide attempts.

    The housemate blamed Nigerian parents for not being serious about their children’s mental health, expressing hope of doing his best when he becomes a father.

    He said, “I have attempted to commit suicide twice but at the end of the day, I survived it.

    “I think we need physicians in this country to be serious about the issue. Our parents are not really doing enough regarding talking to children to diagnose their mental health.

    “I will be a father one day, maybe one or two years to come but I just hope that I give my children the best”.

    Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 6 housemate, Maria has said she suspects that Liquorose and Emmanuel are using the condom in the house.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that a few days ago, Maria raised the alarm that condoms in the house had reduced drastically.

    Maria had said she feels people are making love in the house because the condoms have reduced from 32 to just 16.

    “I feel like some people have been making love,” Maria said.

    However, Speaking to Pere on Thursday night, the Head of House said she suspects Emmanuel and Liquorose because the latter looks guilty every time she asks her.

    Maria had asked Liquorose but she denied the claims, saying they have had no penetration

    Maria told Pere, “Liquorose looks really suspicious whenever I mention the missing condoms.”

    Father to Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 6 housemate, Angel, has reacted to Maria’s remark about her attitude with boys in the house.

    When asked for her view on Angel’s relationship with the male housemates in the house, Maria during her diary session rebuked Angel, describing her as not being reliable and disrespecting in the house.

    Biggie, responding said “Don’t you think the boys should be held responsible for not rejecting Angel despite in a ship.”

    Maria responding said: “I totally agree with what you’re saying Biggie but I think at the end of the day boys will be boys. If anything easy comes their way, they run with it.”

    Angel’s father, who is the handler of her Instagram page, @theangeljbsmith, did not take the statement likely and took to Instagram reacting to Maria’s diary session.

    He condemned Maria’s comment ‘that boys will be boys’, saying society should learn to hold men accountable for their action.

    According to him, women should be free with their bodies without making them look cheap.

    He noted that a woman should not be judged or slut-shamed as being easily accessible because of what she wears or how she’s liberal with her body but the men gets away with ‘You know how boys are’.

    Part of the post read: “We live in a patriarchal society where men are not held accountable for their actions in the name of ‘men will be men’. Who made these rules?

    “A woman is not easily accessible because she chooses to be liberal with her body. It’s important that men are held accountable for their actions the way we hold women also, isn’t that what equality stands for? To excuse grave mistakes with the phrase ‘boys will be boys’ has to stop’

    “That being said, Angel will be Angel in Big Brother’s voice.”

    Outspoken BBNaija ‘Shine ya eyes’ housemate, Abgel shocked many viewers of the show when she revealed that she loves to be watched when making love.

    Angel made this known while chatting with her fellow housemate, Boma. during their stay in the executive lounge Wednesday night.

    “If I wanted to do that, I’ll do that where I’m comfortable. I mean I like being watched, like one person at most. I like being watched when I’m having sex,” she said.

    Boma, who is the current deputy head of house, had picked Angel to be with him in the executive lounge after discovering the opening of the lounge.

    While the discussion was going on, Big Brother told the two housemates to leave the executive lounge.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Angel had told her love interest, Micheal not to restrict himself to Jackie B in Biggie’s house.

    Michael during a conversation with Angel after the late-night games on Tuesday said that he does not really understand his relationship with Jackie B as he accuses her of snubbing him.

    He further asked Angel for her thoughts on his relationship with Jackie B.

    In response, Angel said from her point of view, it looked like they were still figuring things out.

    ”There’s a lot to consider in figuring it out. If you guys want to be serious, you’ll have to take it slow.

    “You can put it into consideration that you’ve only known her for a week. So you can’t exactly restrict yourself to her.

    ”There could be someone in the house that you probably feel more,” she said.

    Meanwhile, during a Diary Session on Tuesday, Jackie told Biggy that she was not on a ‘ship’ with Michael or anybody in the house.
