    What Don Jazzy told me after BBNaija–Anto, BBNaija 2018 star

    BBNaija 2018 star, Anto Lecky has metamorphosed from the conservative damsel who walked into the Big Brother house to becoming a star whose picture adorns front covers of magazines, signs autographs on red carpets and living life on her own terms.

    The intelligent 2011 graduate of University of North Carolina in this interview with TheNewsGuru, opens up on life after BBNaija, projects she is working on, advice Don Jazzy gave her, amongst other issues.

     

     

    What were you doing before BBNaija?

    Before BBNaija, I was the head of operations for a private, professional basketball league based in Nigeria. The goal of the league is to mimic the operations of the NBA in the US, to boost the sports industry in Africa.

     

    What made you decide to be part of the reality TV show?

    I was ready to take my career to next level and The Big Brother platform is the biggest entertainment platform in all of Africa. I knew that with being on the show, my life would completely change for the better and it has.

     

    How have you been able to handle life after BBNaija?

    It hasn’t been easy, but I have been prayerful. I have a supportive family, friends, and fans. I know why I went on the show, to change my life and impact change in the world and that is what keeps me going.

     

     

    Would you advice anyone to be part of the next edition of the reality TV show?

    If you want to boost your career, Big Brother is an excellent platform. I would also advise though, that one must be physically, mentally, and emotionally strong as being in the House and life outside the House will be stressful.

     

    You recently acted in a stage play, what was the experience like for you?

    It was amazing! It was my first professional acting role, so I was definitely nervous. But I had a great cast and director supporting me. And apparently, I didn’t do too bad. Everyone said they were most surprised by my performance in the play. Now that I have “concurred” stage, I am ready for more acting roles, cinema, television, and more stage.

     

    Do you think some Nigerians took some of the events at the BBNaija house too personal?

    Some Nigerians took and are still taking events from the house too personal. I understand that many people have now created a personal bond with us based on watching us in the house, but I think people need to remember that we are all human and are trying our best outside of the house to live our best lives. Support us on the journey.

     

    What new projects are you working on?

    So many things, my brain is on overload .But I have a few more acting roles coming up. I will be launching some business partnerships, brand ambassadorial roles, and NGO projects. It’s a very exciting time for me, and I’m enjoying every opportunity coming my way.

     

    What is the weirdest message you have ever gotten in your DM after BBNaija?

    Two messages stick out to me: One person requested an Iphone X when I was still using an Iphone 6. A fan also sent me a picture of his penis. Funny times we are living in.

     

    What is your definition of a sexy woman?

    Confidence. Nothing exudes sexiness more than confidence. Knowing you are sexy and owning it, whether or not other people think you are sexy.

    Whose advice has been instrumental to your success so far and who gave it?

    Don Jazzy told me the secret to peace of mind when dealing with social media trolls is block and delete.

    Munirat Antoinette Lecky, former Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate has said life outside the reality TV show hasn’t been easy.

    The svelte beauty who was the former Head of Operations, Continental Basketball League Africa noted in a chat with TheNewsGuru that she went on the reality TV show to have her life changed and also use that same change to impact the society.

     

    Anto who completed her Business Management Graduate Program at DeVos Sports in 2013 also said the BBNaija platform is the biggest entertainment platform in all of Africa.

    Anto holds two Masters degrees in Business Administration and Sports Business Management. She achieved this between 2011 and 2013 at the University of Central Florida.

    Big Brother 2018 housemate, Cee-C has opened up about her relationship with former BBNaija housemate, Leo. The duo recently sparked dating rumours when Cee-C organised a surprise birthday bash for Leo.

    In an interview with Arise TV, Cee-c gave an insight into what they both share at the moment.

    She said, “I will be very honest with you. I think Leo is an amazing guy. He is actually a very great guy.

     

    ’You know we didn’t get to know ourselves in the house but right now what we are doing is that we are getting to know ourselves.

     

    “He is a true friend I have decided to be there for regardless of the situation. You know me, I am a very loyal person.

     

     

    “If I say it is you, then it is you. For me outside the house, Leo is the closest. I like him and I want to be there for him.”

  • Why I shared my acid threat message on social media- Cee-C

    Big Brother Naija 2018 1st-runner up, Cynthia Nwadiora better known as Cee-C on Tuesday took to social media to share a threat message she got from a furious fan. In the mail, the fan vowed to pour acid on her whenever he sees her.

     

    “Since you won’t tell your fellow bitter fans to stop trolling Alex and Tobi. I will teach a lesson you will never forget in your miserable life. You are a bitter short witch. Tobi has moved on from you. U should do the same. It’s not by force. You pay people to troll them every day. I know where you live and I will fuck you up. Be prepared. Anywhere I see u, I’m going to pour acid on Ur face. As a scar, you will never forget in your life. I won’t kill you but I will bath your face with acid,” the message read

    Her revelation elicited a myriad of opinions on social media. Her fellow contestant in the 2018 edition of BBNaija, Ifu Ennada urged her to reconcile with Alex, whom many consider to be her rival on the show because of the relationship the latter has with Tobi.

     

    When asked why she decided to share the threat message on social media, she said: “ The reason why I posted something like that on social media is that I wanted to show people that If you want to go for BBNaija don’t just focus on the good side only the gifts and all, people get to threaten you too”, Cee-c told Arise TV.

    Alex Unusual’s judging prowess excites fans at dance competition

    Alex Asogwa, aka Alex Unusual, BBNaija (S3) finalist, has continued to receive praise from fans following her gig as a judge at the TVS dance competition finale.

    The 22 year old dancer, writer, model was a judge alongside Guinness record holder Kaffy, musician Small Doctor, choreographer Don Flexx and comedian, Senator.

    Alex Unusual a one -time dance director of Federation Theatre Group, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), garnered acclaimed for her celebrated dance moves and vivacity during the Saturday night parties in the BBNaija house.

    Fans took to social media to comment under a viral video showing Alex giving critical analysis on one of the group’s presentation.

    They compared her to Simon Cowell, Britain’s Got Talent judge and music executive, who is known for his stern and honest analysis of creative performances.

    Ice Prince woos BBNaija’s Cee-C for ‘Big Daddy Ice’

    Eclectic Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince wooed Cynthia Cee-C Nwadiora, first runner-up of Big Brother Naija, in his new music video ‘Big Daddy Ice’

    The reality TV star makes more than a cameo appearance in the video which was released on Wednesday.

    The colourful makes use of imaginative shrinking stunts, similar to what the movie, Ant Man offered, with a lot of choreographed dancing also involved.

    The music video is directed by Clarence Peters.

    This is the third time a Nigerian artiste will be featuring BBNaija 2018 contestants in a music video. Recall that the likes of Falz and MC Galaxy had previously featured some of the housemates.

    Ex- big brother housemate, Lolu Shomuyiwa has declared that he is not dating his love interest in the Big Brother House, Anto. When he was questioned about his relationship with Anto whom he had an amorous affair with in the Big Brother house, he said both of them are busy and they will let their fans know whenever they are in a relationship.

    “As you well know, Anto is probably one of the busiest women in the world right now. She’s building a totally different brand from mine. What I can tell you is that both of us are very busy people. We talk a lot. We still talked before I got here. We are not in a relationship currently. In the event that we want to take it to the next level, I will be more than be happy to tell you guys first”, he told Tribune

    When Lolu kissed Anto during the show, many felt he faked his love for her. However the outspoken media personality has debunked the claims.

    “The only time I acted while in the house was one of those times when we had to carry out a particular task. People felt I acted because I may have been blessed to know how to use words. My experience in the media spanned over 10 years, where I am used to words day in day out. Apart from being in the media, I read a lot and I had to learn from people. I think people just finally got to see me on television as opposed to hearing my voice on radio. Whatever happened in that house was not an act. It was real from day one till I left”.

    When it comes to the issue of love, it finds people in strange places. Former BBNaija 2018 housemates, Cee-c and Leo have been in the news lately over being in a romantic relationship.

    This is coming after Cee-c wrote an emotional piece for Leo on his birthday and organized a surprise dinner with his family and friends for him .

    In a recent interview on the Cliffhanger Show, Cee-c was asked if she is dating Leo and she couldn’t give a definite answer.

    The outspoken BBNaija 2018 first-runner up was beaming with smiles, putting her hands on her face. With this, Cee-c may just have hinted that she is truly in love with Leo.

    When asked If she would ever consider going back to the BBNaija house, she said: “Never, but then never say never, may be. I will only go back to the Big Brother House, If it is worth it, but it won’t be for a competition. I can go back to the house If I am paid a particular amount of money”.

    Recounting her unforgettable embarrassing moment, she said it was the day she wore a jumpsuit.

    Former Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Nina has been under fire ever since she left the Big Brother Naija 2018 house.

    Some individuals who are not her fans believe she is dumb and not a smart young woman, a claim Nina has debunked on several occasions.

    An obviously frustrated Nina took to her Instagram page saying she is dumb, yet have the good things of life.

    She wrote: “Why is my name everywhere,I am literally blown without effort?I have my car and I have my house, I have my empire, I am a brand ambassador. I have my business moving on for me… And you think I am dumb? Remember God is not done yet,just wait till he is done. My being naïve, innocent and dumb is actually why God loves me”, she revealed on Instagram.
