  • Be the best – Prince Ufford

Be the best – Prince Ufford

    BY PRINCE UFFORD

1CORINTHIANS 12:31. But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and grace (The higher gifts and choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all – love]. Amplify Bible.

    *Be different among your friends.

Your thought creates your future, you can not see your thought but you can trace the effect. Positive thinkers succeed in life. Positive thinking will display your value (best). Who you are now and who you will be tomorrow is your decision. Be ready to create change, see break through with your spiritual eyes. Have faith in God for the best.

*Do not devalue yourself, meaning you should not lower your standard no matter your condition naturally. How you rate yourself before the world is how the world will rate you.
*Go after success even after you have failed. Do not feel discouraged even when you fail, but rather encourage yourself with I can make it. “YES”. YOUR FRIENDS SHOULD NOT DETERMINE YOUR FUTURE, DECIDE YOUR FUTURE YOURSELF. BE IN AGREEMENT WITH YOURSELF.

*Create the atmosphere for what you want with your own words. Discouragement will kill your drive for greatness, do not allow it. Take charge of your thoughts, see yourself winning in life, don’t forget that Life is a race. Run well that you may win. Have faith in yourself, believe in yourself. To transform your life naturally, look at the area in your life that you need to change. This will be possible because you have decided that you want to experience what God has said in His word concerning you naturally.

*Your life style naturally is your responsibility, your approach to life will earn you well. What you become on earth with regards to prosperity, failure is the choice you make daily. For instance, wrong word will create an atmosphere for condemnation. Kind word will make kindness available to you. Naturally you may look empty but spiritually you are fully loaded with raw materials for greatness. Stop looking down at yourself even though you are not there yet. Create your world with a vision.

*Stop discouraging yourself with wrong statements. Stop seeing yourself as a failure. You are a great product. Words of success will help create room for you. Be concerned about your future, create it now, work towards actualization of what you see from within. Give yourself a good life by creating healthy environment to dwell in.
*Think to create idea for money. Wealth comes from idea. If you refuse to work or engage yourself in business, you will not have money. Don’t forget money will not fall from heaven. You will have money because you have what it takes to make money. Your idea is the raw material.

*ECCLESIASTES 9:10. WHATEVER YOUR HAND FINDS TO DO, DO IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT, FOR THERE IS NO WORK OR DEVICE OR KNOWLEDGE OR WISDOM IN SHEOL (THE PLACE OF THE DEAD), WHERE YOU ARE GOING. Whatever you are engaged in, do it with the sincerity of your heart. Whether you are a manager in an organzation, a driver, give your best, be happy in giving your best.

*GENESIS 4:3-5. AND IN PROCESS OF TIME IT CAME TO PASS, THAT CAIN BROUGHT OF THE FRUIT OF THE GROUND AN OFFERING UNTO THE LORD. AND ABEL, HE ALSO BROUGHT OF THE FIRSTLINGS OF HIS FLOCK AND OF THE FAT THEREOF. AND THE LORD HAD RESPECT UNTO ABEL AND TO HIS OFFERING :BUT UNTO CAIN AND TO HIS OFFERING HE HAD NO RESPECT. AND CAIN WAS VERY WROTH, AND HIS CONTENANCE FELL.
*Your best will attract honourable report unto you naturally, your best at work will earn you promotion. Doing your best will create happiness and sense of fulfillment in your heart. Cain did not do well, it is the same thing we do unto God Almighty every day; we refuse to honour Him with our best yet we expect the best from God.

*JOHN 3:16. FOR GOD SO GREATLY LOVED AND DEARLY PRIZED THE WORLD THAT HE [EVEN] GAVE UP HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN (UNIQUE) SON, SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN (TRUSTS IN, CLINGS TO, RELIES ON) HIM SHALL NOT PERISH (COME TO DESTRUCTION, BE LOST) BUT HAVE ETERNAL (EVERLASTING) LIFE. Amplify Bible.
*If you have love in your heart [genuine love] you will not find it difficult to give your best. God had shown unto us what it means to love. He gave His only Son to us. He even allowed Him to die for us. He took our punishment by going to the CROSS for our sins.

*If we walk in love we will do our best at any given time. Kingdom principle says , whatever you sow that’s what you will reap. Ifyou sow kindness you will enjoy same. If you sow wickedness, you will enjoy wickedness. If all you sow daily is evil, you will enjoy harvest of evil – hardship.
*So stop, think, consider. Cain showed disrespect unto God Almighty, God refused to accept his offering. Some of the offerings and tithes pastors receive from members of the congregation as unto the Lord God Almighty might not be acceptable to God, but it is acceptable to the pastor. In our churches today, there are Cains, just as there are Abels. Love will propel you to give your best.Make your choice.

*2CORINTHIANS 5:14. FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST CONSTRAINETH US: BECAUSE WE THUS JUDGE, THAT IF ONE DIED FOR ALL, THEN WE ALL DEAD. Understand from this scripture that you can only have genuine love in your heart if you are recreated in Christ Jesus. You have supernaturally move from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. And by reprogramming your mind with the written word of God through the help of Holy Spirit. Walking in love will not be difficult. With the Spirit of love in your heart, you give out your best.
*COLOSSIANS1:12-13. GIVING THANKS TO THE FATHER, WHO HAS QUALIFIED AND MADE US FIT TO SHARE THE PORTION WHICH IS THE INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS (GOD’S HOLY PEOPLE) IN THE LIGHT. [THE FATHER] HAS DELIEVERED AND DRAWN US TO HIMSELF OUT OF THE CONTROL AND DOMINION OF DARKNESS AND HAS TRANSFERRED US INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF HIS LOVE. Amplify Bible.

*You can see from this verse what love has done for us. We should flow in the same Spirit of love. Love will compel us to do our best, love will compel us to show love the exact way by demonstration.
*Your faith will work to produce miracles, grace will help you because you are obedient to Spiritual principles of grace. Give your best where ever you find yourself. If you give Almighty God your best, you will enjoy grace. Abel’s offering was acceptable unto God Almighty because he honoured Him with an excellent offering. God honoured him in return. The Lord spoke to me recently. [He said darkness can not give direction to light]. Holy Spirit will teach you how to be the best, allow Holy Spirit by submiting to Him.

*In MATTHEW 7:12. SO THEN, WHATEVER YOU DESIRE THAT OTHERS WOULD DO TO AND FOR YOU, EVEN SO DO ALSO TO AND FOR THEM, FOR THIS IS (SUMS UP) THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.
*Do you desire the best things of Life? Practice they say makes perfect. Good things will only happen unto those who practice doing good. Naturally you can not do good, sometimes what we celebrate as good before God is evil, some of the testimonies we share in church might not be God who has done them, but because we are not able to decode them spiritually. God rejected Cain’s offering, it was not acceptable unto God , which means it was not according to kingdom standards but Abel’s offering was honourable, acceptable, a sweet smelling offering full of appreciation to show God he was grateful for His mercy and grace toward him. It was an offering full of love and worship from the heart.

*GENESIS 8:20-22. AND NOAH BUILDED AN ALTAR UNTO THE LORD: AND TOOK OF EVERY CLEAN BEAST, AND OF EVERY CLEAN FOWL, AND OFFERED BURNT OFFERINGS ON THE ALTAR. AND THE LORD SMELLED A SWEET SAVOUR: AND THE LORD SAID IN HIS HEART, I WILL NOT AGAIN CURSE THE GROUND ANY MORE FOR MAN’S SAKE: FOR THE IMAGINATION OF MAN’S HEART IS EVIL FROM HIS YOUTH: NEITHER WILL I AGAIN SMITE ANY MORE EVERY THING LIVING, AS I HAVE DONE. WHILE THE EARTH REMAINETH, SEEDTIME AND HARVEST, AND COLD AND HEAT, AND SUMMER AND WINTER, AND DAY AND NIGHT SHALL NOT CEASE.

Noah recognized grace as the favour of God showned unto him. He decided to appreciate God by honouring Him with the best. He carefully selected the best for God. God visited Noah with prophetic blessings. Naoh drew God’s attention unto himself and the entire family.

    * My mother used to say this to us, if you do good, you do for yourself. You do bad, you do for yourself. The scripture has this to say, be not deceive whatever you sow that’s what you will reap as harvest naturally. Daily my eyes are spiritually open to receive understanding, therefore it helps me to apply living wisdom for effectivenss in life.

*God is good. Jesus Christ while here was a good person. The question I should ask myself is: Prince are you a good person? I am sure you will like to ask yourself the same question.

*ROMANS 12:1-2. Amplify Bible. I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. • The bible does not condemn premarital sex- Daddy Freeze

Outspoken On Air Personality (OAP), Daddy Freeze, has said that premarital sex is not forbidden in the bible. The light skinned media personality said that there is nothing wrong with having sex everyday in as much as both parties enjoy it

Freeze made these statements in reaction to a statement credited to Amber Rose where she admitted demanding sex everyday from her 21-yrs-old boyfriend.

Daddy Freeze wrote on Instaram: “This post raises 2 fundamental questions:

“1: can you have sex every day?

“Well, the answer is yes, there are people who are highly sexed and enjoy sex everyday, some several times a day.

“So if you are one of these people don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to ask your partner for it, it’s what they signed up for.

“2: Is it ok to have premarital sex. Now this is not so straightforward. According to the ancient Jewish system based on the Torah, once a couple is betrothed, they can have sex, but cannot live together until the final marriage contract is sealed.

“Scroll through various screenshots I put up and do your personal research both historically and biblically if you have any doubts.

“Unfortunately there are no ‘hard and fast’ rules regarding betrothal and sex inside the Bible, but we are adviced against sexual immorality.

“What exactly is sexual immorality? Abraham, Solomon, David, Jacob and Moses all had concubines. Now a concubine is not a wife, neither does she share the status of a wife and nowhere in the Bible were concubines expressly annulled either by Jesus or by our first pastors; the disciples.”

  • The new creation in Christ – Femi Aribisala

    By Femi Aribisala

Jesus says to Nicodemus: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6).

When you ask a man to describe himself, he might say: “I am tall and handsome.” But do you know your height and looks are not you? The man drives a Mercedes Benz and therefore considers the car to be his identity. He feels the luxurious car defines who he is. So the wisdom of God says: “Steal the car, and let us see if he will consider himself stolen.” “Burn the car, so he will consider himself burnt.”

If we are how we look, what happens when we grow old? The Lord says: “I am the Lord, I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6). If the Lord does not change then, neither do sons of God because as he is so are we in this world. (1 John 4:17). If a man is his physical nature, then if he has an accident and breaks his leg, he has changed. No! A man is his spirit and not his body; and his spirit does not change. Like Jesus, a son of God is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8).

    The prototype

There is only one New Creation and he is Jesus. There is only one personality. There is only one character. There is only one look; and that is Christ: “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:27-28).

The New Creation stands in perfect atonement with God and with Christ. This was Jesus’ prayer, and it was answered completely at the Pentecost. He asked: “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21).

Jesus is the beginning of the new creation. (Revelation 3:14). The first human species was in Adam. The New Creation is in Christ. As Levi was in the loins of Abraham when Melchisedec met him, so have we been in the loins of Christ from the foundation of the world. As Noah was in the ark, so are we in Christ. The New Creation is a completely different species of human being although coming through no human agency. He comes not by blood, or through the flesh, but as a result of the will of God. (John 1:13).

    Family of God

Moreover, the New Creation draws strength from the power reservoir of the body of Christ. That body is not made up of one, but of many, parts. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). Accordingly, the son of God is never alone. He is part and parcel of an incredibly large and illustrious heavenly family.

The New Creation has a hundredfold of brothers and sisters and mothers. “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.” (1 Corinthians 12:26). When God says: “Touch not my anointed,” it is not a vain threat. The New Creation is his brother’s keeper. Therefore, the man who dares to fight a son of God is going to have to face him and all his relatives.

If you fight him, you have to answer to the body of Christ. You might be fighting him in Lagos, but there are brothers and sisters of his in Toronto prevailing in battle on his behalf. Once the battle cry is raised, a message is transmitted to the twelve tribes of Israel that it is time to repel the forces of the enemy. So it is spiritually with the body of Christ.

Therefore, know this for certain, the son of God is impregnable. He is an integral part of the army of the God, the Lord of hosts; an army united in spirit and in power. It is an army perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement. Unlike what takes place in the contradictory churches of today, in the Church of Christ where the son of God belongs, there is one body and one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father. (Ephesians 4:4-6).

    Born again

The New Creation is of God and is born of God. He hates sin with passion and walks in the truth. He cannot be killed and cannot die. Signs and wonders follow him. He has the spirit of excellence. He has the spirit of wisdom and revelation. He can see the kingdom of God. He can see the invisible. He has the mind of God. In short, the new creation is the fulfilment of the law and the prophets.

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:1-2).

    Transfiguration

One day, Peter, John and James went up a high mountain with Jesus and discovered to their surprise that this same Jesus is somebody else at the same time. Suddenly, Jesus was transfigured before them and they caught a privileged glimpse of his glory.

Jesus said to Nicodemus: “ No one has ascended to heaven but he who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.” (John 3:13). This is a wonderful kingdom dynamic. The Son of Man who is in heaven is also here on earth at the same time talking to Nicodemus. No wonder, Nicodemus was completely flabbergasted. As it is with Jesus, so it is with the New Creation. As he is here on earth, so is he seated at the same time in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 2:6).

As a man on earth, the pre-incarnate glory of Jesus was veiled. This baffled many. There was dissonance between Jesus’ mighty works and his human pedigree. People wondered about him. He was learned, and yet he never went to school. “He’s just a carpenter’s son,” they reasoned. And yet, carpenters don’t heal the sick and raise the dead. “But we know his mother and his brothers. Surely he is just another Joe.” (Matthew 13:55).

However, at the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter, John and James discovered what manner of man Jesus is. They saw him completely differently, covered with God’s splendour and glory. And they heard a majestic voice calling down from heaven, saying: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (2 Peter 1:17). So it is with the son of God.

Beloved, wouldn’t you like to be a son of God? “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7).

  • Today’s pastors are all fake: Jesus is now the only real pastor – Femi Aribisala

    By Femi Aribisala

Frustrated by the magnitude of the miracles attending Jesus’ ministry, the chief priests and elders of the Jews challenged him in the temple. They demanded to know by what authority he was doing the things he was doing and who it was who gave him the authority.

In his reply, Jesus presents a dichotomy between what is of God and what is of men. He asks them: “The baptism of John- where was it from? From heaven or from men?” (Matthew 21:25).

The question is loaded. By implication, Jesus maintains what is of God cannot be of men and what is of men cannot be of God. This dichotomy between God and men finds its most eloquent expression in Jesus’ categorical assertion that: “What is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” (Luke 16:15).

It is pertinent, therefore, to ask whether the ordination of pastors today is of God or of men.

    Fake pastors

The answer is straight-forward: the ordination of pastors today is of men and not of God. It does not come from the commandments or teachings of Jesus. It comes from the writings of Paul.

Paul does not say Jesus specifically instructs him to create ministerial positions in the church. Instead, he bases his authority for doing this on a messianic Old Testament scripture. With reference to psalm 68, he writes: “This is why it says: ‘When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men.’” (Ephesians 4:8).

Undertanding that this scripture foretells Christ’s resurrection, Paul then says: “(Jesus) himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-12).

However, on investigation it becomes apparent that Paul’s position misquotes and even distorts the original psalm. The psalmist says: “When you ascended on high, you led captives in your train; you received gifts from men, even from the rebellious- that you, O LORD God, might dwell there.” (Psalm 68:18).

Can you see the difference? The psalmist says men gave gifts to the Lord. Paul, in quoting the psalmist, changes this to say the Lord gave gifts to men.

    Unauthorised ministerial posts

Apparently, Paul wanted to create posts in the churches he established so as to bring them more effectively under his control. So he twisted an Old Testament scripture to make it seem as if it was the Lord who authorised it. As a result, there are people today who insist the Lord has called them to be pastors and teachers, not knowing that Jesus does not envisage any of these positions under the New Testament.

This is what Jesus says: “I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes.” (Matthew 23:34). Nothing here about pastors and teachers. On his resurrection, he said furthermore: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to everyone.” (Mark 16:15). This means all believers are called to be evangelists, it is not a special calling for a select few.

In creating unauthorised posts, which have since spawned many others such as popes, arch-bishops, and right-reverends, Paul enshrined the spirit of the Pharisee in the heart of Christianity, contrary to the teachings of Jesus.

Jesus discourages honorific titles and warns that those who exalt themselves will be humbled. He mocks the pomposity of the Pharisees, insisting that we should not follow their example: “Don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher, and you are all classmates.” (Matthew 23:8).

This show Jesus permits no differentiation among his followers. We are all equal. The pope is no different from the lay Catholic. The arch-bishop is the classmate of the members of the laity. None of them is greater in status than the other. So how come some classmates are now calling themselves teachers?

Nevertheless, Paul tells Timothy: “I was appointed a preacher and an apostle- I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying- a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” (1 Timothy 2:7). This cannot be true because Jesus expressly forbids this: “Do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. (Matthew 23:10).

Moreover, Jesus tells us God, and not men, will be our teacher: “It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.” (John 6:45).

    No contradiction

Jesus says furthermore: “Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do.” (Matthew 23:9). This means the pastor is not the head of a church. He cannot lord it over members of his congregation. As a matter of fact, pastors are now anachronistic. Jesus says: “There shall be one flock and one pastor.” (John 10:16). This establishes Jesus as the one and only “Good Pastor.” (John 10:11).

God the Father is the source of all authority and from him it flows to Jesus, the Son. Does it then flow from Jesus to the pastor, the bishop, or the pope? Certainly not! On his resurrection, Jesus declared to his disciples: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18). The authority remains firmly with Jesus.

Jesus says: “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:25-28).

    Strange doctrine

What are we to conclude from all this? All those who call themselves pastors are not disciples of Jesus. Their authority is not from heaven, but from men. They are fake pastors with Jesus being the only legitimate pastor. David says: “The Lord is my pastor, I have all that I need.” (Psalm 23:1). If Jesus is our pastor, we don’t need fake pastors. Jesus does not outsource his church to pastors. He says: “I will build my church.” (Matthew 16:18).

Wittingly or unwittingly, pastors today disobey the voice of Jesus by heeding instead the voice of Paul. Eternal life is not in the words of Paul. Eternal life is in the words of Jesus. (John 6:68-69). Jesus, not Paul, is “the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2). Therefore, Jesus’ words are the only acceptable basis of church doctrine.

The Holy Spirit does not speak on his own authority; he only says what he hears. (John 16:13-15). Not so with pastors. They insist on being answerable to themselves. Jeremiah says: “A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?” (Jeremiah 5:30-31).
