  • Big Brother Naija: Ex- housemates return for reunion show

    Popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija is set to stage a return with a reunion show.This was disclosed in a statement by the host of BBN Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s on his social media page.

     

    Ebuka revealed that the former housemates will be back on a show to run from January 22nd to Saturday, January 27th on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

     

    “For the first time ever in Big Brother history here, we’re bringing back the housemates (from #BBNaija #SeeGobe) for a reunion show.

     

    “Find out what your favourite ex housemates from last season think about their time on the show, how they feel about each other today and their plans for the future.

     

    “They’ll be seating here with me every night at 9:30pm (West African time) from Monday, January 22nd to Saturday, January 27th on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

    Trust me, even I wasn’t ready for the fire they brought.‎”

    Bisola Aiyeola is no doubt a celebrity at the moment, but her success story will be incomplete without her humble beginnings.

     

    The multi-talented entertainer has revealed that she once sold macaroni in traffic in order to fend for her family. Bisola added that it wasn’t an interesting experience.

     

    According to her: “I was 21 years old when I sold macaroni in traffic. It wasn’t an interesting experience. That day it was sunny and suddenly it started raining .Kudos to every street hawker selling stuff in traffic. It’s a difficult job, I will try as much as possible not to be pricing things with you. I experienced that, I cried saying “Is this what my life is turning into?”

     

    Aiyeola stressed that these days people want to look good on social media without desiring to put in the work.

    “These days we have a lot of people who want to look for social media, they don’t want to put in as much work . They think its all about the glam and the beauty.If you work hard, you will eventually get there, don’t rush into anything”.

     

    Recall that months back, Bisola revealed that she was in a “strong and loving” relationship with Jeff Akoh. She later denied that it was a publicity stunt .

     

    “It’s official guys, Jeff Akoh and I are in love and in a strong, loving relationship. Your girl B is taken,” she had written on Twitter.

  • ‘I didn’t know anybody when I came to Lagos’- Efe, Big Brother Naija winner 2017

    Winner of Big Brother Naija 2017, Efe Ejeba has opened up on life before BBNaija. The based on logistics rapper said he didn’t know anyone when he came to Lagos.According to him, When he finished his final year exams, he came to Lagos and gathered the money he made in Jos to rent an apartment.

    He made this known while speaking in an interview with The Nation. According to him:” I’m just someone that has perseverance. I don’t give up. I finished my final year exams and in about two weeks, I packed my bags and came to Lagos. I was just waiting for school to finish. My mother wanted me to go to school and I gave her the certificate and took a walk. So, I came to Lagos, not knowing anybody. I gathered the money I made from my music in Jos and used it to pay for house rent and started life. I would be at home for one week atimes, I won’t go out because I didn’t know anybody in Lagos.

     

    “I just had that drive, that belief that one day, it would happen. I didn’t know how it would happen but today that is how it is. For me, I just feel that every youth should keep doing what they know how to do best and stay focus. That’s why I have three things as my mantra – You gotta believe in God, number two, believe in yourself and number three, you die put”.

    When asked what he has been doing before BBNaija, he said:”It’s music. Music has been what I’ve been doing for the past seven years. I started recording in 2010 and while I was in Jos. I left Jos as an elite artiste but the hunger for more brought me to Lagos in 2015. So, as Big Brother came, I said, ‘this is a big platform to showcase myself.’ If I didn’t go on Big Brother and I came here, no one would answer me”.

    Efe Ejeba, winner of Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show has been made Nigerian youth ambassador. Solomon Dalung, the Youths and Sports Development Minister, made the announcement recently in Abuja.Dalung also took to his Facebook page to make the announcement.

    In his words: “Based on logistics I received Efe Ejeba, the Big Brother Naija Winner in the Ministry of Youth & Sports today. Efe being an influential young person full of passion and determination, we discussed among many areas of collaboration to engage young talents across the country.

    “Who I be?” the popular saying of the Big Brother Naija Winner, Efe Ejeba is today a voice that reminds every young person that no matter your humble beginning, your dreams are valid!     Ex –Big Brother Naija housemate, T-Boss who generated loads of controversies during the reality TV show has declared that she won’t partake in the reality TV show again , even If she gets paid N50million

    She made this claim in an interview with Urban FM. According to her:”I won’t partake in Big Brother Naija again, even If its for 50m”

    Recall that T-Boss was involved in a myriad of controversies during the reality TV show. She was triggered in the disqualification of Kemen and also was quoted as saying that Private Jet owners were looking for her.

    Controversial Big Brother Naija housemate, Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known as TBoss has criticized some of her fans putting pressure on her on the need to be more outgoing and show more of her private life.

    Speaking via an Instagram post shared on Sunday she wrote: “Hi Boss Nation, once again, I want to say a massive thank you for your love and support while I was in the house and now that I’m out. I really prefer to show not tell, but maybe it’s time I address certain things.

     

    “Since I’ve been back from the house, the pressure to show some activity has been immense.

     

    “Everyday I get comments that say, why don’t you post more, why don’t you appear at places more? The question i’d like to ask in return is to what end?

     

    “There is a saying that goes empty barrels make the loudest noise. I have a plan and goals for myself professionally and personally. I’m not posting or screaming about the meetings I’m having or giving progress reports because a lot of these things are confidential.

    #BBNaija’s Efe becomes Prince of Okpe Kingdom

    Efe Ejeba, winner of Big Brother Naija 2017 has been awarded a ‘honorary prince’ by the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State, HRM Felix Mujakperuo.

    Efe arrived Orekokpe in a long motorcade and was received by the Orodje and six other traditional rulers, including the Ovie of Ughelli, at his palace in Orerokpe, headquarters of the Okpe council area of Delta State.

    The event was graced by traditional chiefs and politicians . It was anchored by a former Minister of Information, Prof Sam Oyovbaire. According to HRM Mujakperuo, the Okpe Traditional Council decided to honour Efe because he had shown the world that youths from the Niger Delta region were not just about violent and criminal activities.

    In his words “Today is a great day in Okpe Kingdom. I always tell my people, whenever I wake up in the morning I will pray for Okpe people and Delta that God should make our sons and daughters to be recognized wherever they are. Today, God has answered our prayers as an Okpe son is now recognised all over the place.

    He added:”According to our tradition, when a child goes into the bush to kill a big animal, the father will honour him, and that is why we are here to honour you. You have gone to the bush to kill a big animal and we are honouring you.”
