    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG)  reports that the show kicks off today by 7pm Nigerian time with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returning as the host introducing  housemates who will be competing in pairs for various prizes, including a grand prize of N100m.

    The organisers of the show promise intrigues and new twists with “double the drama, ships, and HUGE competition.”

    Big Brother introduces new cool features into this year house: and this includes, Bar, Gym Double Head of House Chair and custodian challenge.

    The theme of the 2024 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has been unveiled as “No Loose Guard”.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the BBNaija Season 9 theme: “No Loose Guard” was unveiled when the show premiered on Sunday.

    According to the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, this year’s Big Brother house is the biggest in the history of BBNaija.

    The house features a double Head of House (HoH) chair as housemates enter the house in pairs and will become HoH in pair. Also, this year’s Big Brother house features a gym and a bar.

    TNG reports the first Big Brother housemates to enter into the house are Chinwe and Zion, paired as Zinwe.

    Big Brother Naija has officially disclosed the start date for its Season 9 edition.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the show organizers made the announcement via its official Instagram page on Friday night.

    According to the posted graphics, the 71-day show will commence on July 28, 2024.

    The organizers have dubbed the 2024 Season 9 edition as ‘Two Journeys in One House.’

    “BBNaija Season 9 is HERE! This is a must-follow Season! Get ready for double the drama, ships, and HUGE competition! Cameras 24/7 for 71 days. Don’t miss the premiere on July 28th at 7 PM WAT,” the post read.

    Big Brother Naija season 9 to premiere in July

    The much anticipated ninth season of the Big Brother Naija Television Reality Show is to premiere July featuring a novel format that moves away from the traditional individual participation.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the organisers of the reality show teased their fans, encouraging them to mark their calendars and prepare for Season 9 in July, though the exact date remains undisclosed.

    The post read: “ONE SUNDAY IN JULY. GET READY”

    The photo was also captioned: “What’s better than One? Mark your calendars! #BBNaijaS9 ”

    The announcement comes after the cancellation of BBNaija “All Stars” season 8 edition of the reality show reunion scheduled for June 24th, 2024.

    Former BBNaija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke disclosed this during her Q&A session with her fans but did not provide a reason for the development.

    It’s worth noting that auditions for season 9 began on March 27, 2024, with a twist requiring participants to apply in pairs.

    The organizers stated, “This year, it’s a search for Dynamic Duos that love the show and can turn up the heat in Biggie’s house!”

    Cross, one of the housemates of the ongoing Big Brother Naija All Stars reality show has emerged Head of House (HOH) for week 8.

    Biggie, the Coordinator of the show announced this upon completion of the HOH task on Monday.

    He said Cross had automatically been saved from the week’s eviction with unrestricted access to the HOH luxury lounge.

    Cross who took over the barton of leadership from Sholzy,  however, picked his BFF as Pere, Neoenergy, Adekunle and Whitemoney to spend the time and other benefits in HoH luxury room.

    Recall that the reality show was premiered July 23 and the housemates are contesting for the grand prize of N120 million.

    Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Terseer Waya, popularly known as  Kiddwaya, has revealed when he would get married with his girlfriend.

    Kiddwayya while chatting with a housemate revealed that he has a girlfriend outside the house.

    According to him, their wedding will take place in two years time.

    Kiddwaya said: “I have a girlfriend outside this house. I will be getting married in two years.”

    The reality star, made headlines sometimes in 2022 after he was captured in a video asking UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega if he would join him and a Caucasian lady in holy matrimony, during a dinner with popular media personality, Daddy Freeze and others.

    There was mild bedroom drama between Ilebaye and Kiddwaya in the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars house last night.

    Kiddwaya was lying in bed last night when Ilebaye joined him, but he appeared not to be in the mood for company.

    This is coming after Kiddwaya described Ilebaye as red meat in the midst of hungry lions.

    Kiddwaya asked Ilebaye to leave his bed so he can get some sleep. However, Ilebaye was a little pained by this and said that she cares about him, the reason why she had joined him in bed.

    She then offered to sleep at the side edge, but Kiddwaya still insisted that she leaves the bed completely because he doesn’t want any problem.

    BBNaija All Stars: Biggie hands Adekunle secret task

    After emerging as Head of House, Biggie has handed Adekunle a secret task to carry out in the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All Stars house.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Adekunle won the Head of House challenge in 12 seconds to emerge as Head of House on Monday.

    Following the HoH challenge, housemates took turns to nominate themselves (except for Adrkunle’s BFFs and Mercy Eke) for possible eviction on Sunday.

    However, during the turn of Adekunle to nominate a housemate for possible eviction, Biggie revealed to him there will be no eviction on Sunday and that the nominations were fake.

    Biggie went further to direct the HoH not to disclose to fellow housemates that the nominations were fake, as the task

    Biggie subsequently went on to announce to the house that Adekunle’s BFFs and Mercy are immune from evictions this week and that the rest of the house are up for eviction.

    TNG reports Mercy Eke had earlier won immunity in the black envelope challenge.

    BREAKING: Adekunle emerges first Head of House of BBNaija Season 8

    Adekunle has emerged as the first Head of House (HoH) of the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 8.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Adekunle emerged HoH following the completion of the Head of House games on Monday.

    He won the HoH games 12 seconds and is immune from nominations and guaranteed a place in Big Brother’s house for at least one more week.

    After he was pronounced HoH, Adekunle was offered BFF badges to share with fellow housemates.

    The BFFs will share the HoH lounge, bedroom and gym with the HoH and may even sleep in the HoH lounge.

    According to Biggie, there will be special supplies for the HoH kitchen, which cannot be taken downstairs or shared with fellow housemates, except BFFS.

    TNG reports Adekunle picked Seyi, Cross, Frodd and Soma as BFFs to enjoy HoH privilege with. However, the BFFs did not get immunity from nominations.

    Housemate, Mercy Eke has won immunity from this week’s nominations in the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Mercy Eke, nicknamed Lambo, won the immunity on Monday, following a hide-and-seek game.

    All 20 housemates in the BBNaija All Stars house were made to search for two black envelopes hidden in the house.

    As the game went on, Mercy Eke found an envelope first under the rug in the sitting room.

    “Congratulations, you have won immunity from this week’s nominations,” the content of Mercy’s envelope reads.

    Meanwhile, a second envelope hidden in the house as well was found by Frodd behind the Head of House chair. However, Seyi claimed he found it first.

    The content of the second black envelope reads: “better luck next time”.

    Meanwhile, for flouting Biggie’s rule, Kiddwaya, Tolanibaj and Princess were disqualified from the search.
