    How 25-year-old journalist, Khosi won BBTitans

    25-year-old South African journalist, Khosi brushed off competition from 24 housemates to emerge as the winner of the maiden edition of Big Brother Titans (BBTitans).

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Khosi, born Makhosazane Twala, had revealed she was in the Big Brother Titans house for quick fame as well as the money.

    Khosi, who combines journalism, a career she was interested in when she was 8, with modelling, was full with excitement when she was declared winner of the reality TV show.

    She was declared winner jointly by the show hosts, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Lawrence Maleka.

    Khosi as a result, emerged the first BBTitans winner, defeating Kanaga Jr, who emerged first runner-up, while Tsatsii emerged second runner-up. She walks away with the grand prize of USD100 000 and other pecks attached.

    TNG reports Yvonne was the 3rd finalist to be evicted along with Ebubu and Ipeleng on Sunday.

    Following his eviction, Ebubu said, “I’m really happy, I have been able to make true friends.”

    Also, Yvonne appreciated her fans who voted for her in the course of the show.

    “I am hoping that the world is ready for me.

    “Big Brother’s house has really shaped me, I loved to be boxed up before now but the house has succeeded in opening me up,” she said.

    Tsatsii, meanwhile, expressed her excitement, having made it to the top three housemates  in the house.

    “Wow! Top three in the house! I am happy, I am grateful and I won’t take this for granted,  I didn’t know I was going to make it this far.

    “Now, I am more patient and understanding and I have families among Nigerians now, I am happy,” she said.

    Recall that the maiden edition of BBTitans premiered on 15 January 2023, following a virtual audition that was held from 6 to 22 October 2022.

    On Day 0 of the show, 20 contestants entered the house, evenly split by country and gender. On Day 4, four more contestants entered the house.

    Housemates were later put into pairs until Week 7. Each pair would have a male and a female and have both countries represented.

    The housemates are Khosi, Kanaga Jr, Tsatsii, Yvonne, Ebubu, Ipeleng, Thabang, Blaqboi, Justin, Miracle OP, Nana, Blue Aiva and Nelisa.

    Others are Yemi Cregx, Juicy Jay, Olivia, Marvin, Yaya, Jenni O, Mmeli, Jaypee, Lukay, Sandra and Theo Traw.

    Big Brother Titans is the joint South African and Nigerian edition of the Big Brother franchise. The 2023 edition was themed “Ziyakhala Wahala”.

    Jenni O and Mmeli’s hope of battling for the $100,000 grand prize at the Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) show hit the rock on Sunday as viewers voted for their eviction.

    The JenniLi pair were evicted during the live show on Sunday, having secured the least votes among the seven pairs nominated for eviction last week.

    Recall that the pairs, ThabaNa, YeLisa, and KanAiva, JuVonne, KhosiCle were nominated for eviction on Monday.

    This eviction makes them the third pair of housemates to be evicted, following the pairs of Sandra and Theo as well as Jaypee and Lukay.

    Last week, the JayKay pair of Jaypee and Lukay were evicted from the show.

    Mmeli’s and Jenni O’s eviction is not coming as a surprise. While Mmeli was not conspicuous in the house, Jaypee alienated the BBTitans fans because of her loudness and talkativeness.

    Aside from Mmeli who was romantically linked with Melissa at a time, Jenni O wasn’t linked with any housemate in the house.

    There are now nine pairs battling for the $100,000 grand prize.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) had reported that Mmeli was caught kissing Nelisa in her bed which got Sandra furious.

    Sandra and Mmeli have a thing going and have tried to see where things are headed.

    As Sandra was in the kitchen fixing Mmeli some food, she later found out that the 25-year-old loverboy was all covered up with Nelisa .

    Sandra, already furious, returned to the kitchen and told Blue Aiva about what she had just seen. She further told Blue that Nelisa had protection with her.

    She notes that it means that Nelisa was ready to go intimate with her man should the chance present itself.

    Nonetheless, she promises to deal with Nelisa if she does not get evicted on today.

    Mmeli succumbed to Nelisa’s wish of spending the night in her bed and going as far as kissing her.

    In a viral clip, Mmeli was seen in Nelisa’s bed looking very comfortable while kissing her.

    Recall that some days back in the BBTitans house,, Nelissa and Thabang were caught kissing,

    25-year-old Nelissa, who resides in Johannesburg, South Africa, had said if she is a drink, she’d be champagne. She adds she is interesting to watch.

    Nelisa, a housemate of the Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) show, has finally laid to rest whether she went intimate with Mmeli, saying “we had a sexual relationship”.

    This came after the housemate had an intimate kiss with a fellow female housemate, Nana following the Saturday night party.

    The seventh housemate in the Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) house, Mmeli, has revealed why he stopped speaking to his fellow housemate, Nelisa after they went under the duvet on Saturday.

    Recall that another BBTitans housemate, Yaya had berated Mmeli over his erotical encounter with Nelisa.

    Mmeli and Nelisa were said to have gone under the duvet after they were spotted kissing and cuddling. Nelisa was seen picking condoms for him in a viral clip on social media.

    Mmeli appeared to have been avoiding Nelisa since the erotical encounter, prompting Yaya to confront him.

    Expressing her disappointment during a chat with Nmeli, Yaya said he was wrong to have ignored Nelisa after sleeping with her.

    Apparently, he regretted getting intimate with Nelisa immediately after it happened.

    BBTitans: How Nigerian Sandra and South African Theo Traw were voted out

    Nigerian Sandra and South African Theo Traw have been evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) on Sunday night.

    Big Brother changed the colour of the game last week by pairing the housemates.

    Sandra and Theo Traw came into the house together as new housemates during the first week. Their entrance was as entertaining as it was mysterious. Alongside Miracle Op and Blue Aiva, they entered the house in masks while the housemates were having their first pool party.

    During their stay, they both had conflicts with other housemates; Traw with Jenni and Sandra with Olivia.

    Addressing the issue about her altercation with Olivia, Sandra said she was pissed by the latter’s response and had to fire back.

    While Theo Traw’s demeanor was low as he was interviewed on stage, Sandra seemed to take her eviction in good strides.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the reality TV show is a fusion of the Big Brother franchise in South Africa and Nigeria, where contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a cash prize by avoiding eviction by the viewers who vote for their favorite housemate to stay.

    Aside from South African housemates, Nigerian housemates are also appearing on the show. The show is being aired on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 on 15 January 2023.

    It is the first reality TV show of its kind to feature housemates from two countries, South Africa and Nigeria.

    Viewers will have the opportunity to decide who stays in the Big Brother house and who is evicted, and a winner will be determined by popularity votes.

    Olivia introduced herself on the show as friendly, passionate, energetic, and loving.

    On Monday, January 16, the first BBTitans HoH game was held and the housemates competed in the arena The male housemates competed against fellow guys while the ladies competed with their fellow ladies.

    The BBTitans show kicked off on a great note and the 20 Nigerian and South African housemates had their first-ever Head of House games on January 16.

    In usual Big Brother fashion, the housemates were told to move to the arena for the games and were given instructions on how it would be played.

    Big Brother announced that the day’s game will have the male and female housemates divided as they compete against their fellow gender.

    It was also explained that the first stage of the day’s game will involve the housemates making 6 paper planes and will later throw them as far as they possibly can.

    “The top two male housemates and the top two female housemates will qualify for the next round of the HOH games,” Big Brother further announced.

    The ladies were the first to compete and the top two Nigerian female housemates, Olivia and Jenni O, were later announced and told that they have qualified for the next round.

    The male housemates finally played their game and two South Africans, Mmeli and Lukay, emerged as the top two winners.

    In this round, the qualified housemates were made to play a dice game. Big Brother announced that the housemates with the highest score will emerge HOH for the week.

    They were to roll their die in a cup before throwing it on the table. The number on their die is what would be recorded on the board.

    The housemate with the highest number recorded will emerge the winner. The four qualified housemates, Olivia, Jenni O, Mmeli and Lukay, moved to their tables to start the game at the sound of the buzzer.

    Big Brother announced that all the qualified housemates will have just one try and will roll the die at the same time. Lukay rolled a 6, Olivia rolled a 5, Jenni O rolled a 2 on her die while Mmeli rolled a 6.

    Mmeli was later announced as the BBTitan first Head of House. He was also given a badge to signify his new position. It was also announced that MMeli has immunity from the week’s nomination and will also have exclusive access to the HOH bedroom with his chosen guest from the opposite gender.

    Jaypee made this disclosure while introducing herself in the house to the other housemates.

    She disclosed that among the seven lovers, there are two of them she takes seriously because they are her favorite.

    Speaking about her childhood, Jaypee disclosed that she lived with her single mother and six brothers all her life.

    According to her, she does not have a good impression of men hence her decision to date seven men.

    Jaypee further disclosed that her decision to date seven men was to change the narrative that men are the only people who have the right to keep more than one partner.

    Nigerian, South African culture on display as TV Reality Show, Big Brother Titans starts today

    The first big brother combo between housemates in Nigeria and South Africa known as Big Brother Titans, will hit  TV stations across the continent today, January 15.

    The top reality TV Show is expected to arouse curiosity among Nigerian and South African viewers and by extension the rest of Africa.

    The total prize money the winner is expected to win is a whooping prize of $100,000.

    Speaking on the commencement of the show, the Executive Head of Content, MultiChoice Nigeria, Dr Busola Tejumola, expressed confidence in the audience experiencing 10 weeks of entertainment from the show.

    She said, “This special fusion of Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi will surely deliver drama and excitement like never before. The festive period is over but entertainment is just getting started for the year.

    “For the next 72 days, housemates from the two giant nations – Nigeria, and South Africa — will be serving drama, energy, excitement, and all-around entertainment as they try to outwit one another for the $100,000 grand prize. Viewers will be enjoying special Biggie’s diary sessions, Head of House games, Friday night parties, tasks, and live on the dedicated channels”.

    This edition will be held in South Africa and hosted by Nigeria’s Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and South Africa’s Lawrence Maleka.
