The Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) 2020 edition that garnered over 900 million votes has come and gone but the question on the mind of many is how much every housemate won while they were in the house.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports only two housemates, Ka3na, and Lilo did not get the chance to amass any monetary reward as they were the first to be evicted.

Eric left the next week with $500 worth of Bitcoin courtesy of Patricia and Tochi the same with N222,000 in the bank.

By calculations, the first housemate to make N1,000,000 was Prince, who coined his first milli with the Hawaii Soap victory, which took him from a total of just over N800,000 to a cool sum of just over N1,200,000.

Nengi was not far behind as on that day, she had amassed N997,000. In the same band, was Erica with N972,000 and Laycon with N900,000 in total.

Johnny Walker made instant millionaires out of Nengi, Laycon, and Vee, Pepsi made millionaires out of Ozo and Triky, Oppo did the same with Dorathy and Kiddwaya. MyPaddi rewarded Neo with the ultimate N1,000,000 prize for his efforts on the day.

Who can forget that Lipton awarded the entire Top 5 with N1,000,000 each in addition to the influencer deals?

Darling came through with a million each for Nengi, Prince and Trikyteee for their Wager, and for the season-long hair Wager they rewarded Prince again as well as Vee for maintaining her hairdo’s.

By calculations, Vee left Biggie’s house with the most stash of all the housemates, besides Laycon of course.

    Vee N6,170,000!
    Laycon N6,030,000
    Nengi N5,350,000
    Prince N4,725,000
    Dorathy N4,600,000
    Trikytee N4,055,000
    Neo N4,054,000
    Ozo N3,494,000
    Kiddwaya N2,461,000
    Brighto N1,679,000
    Lucy N1,318,000
    Wathoni N1,221,000
    Tolanibaj N845,000
    Praise N775,000
    Kaisha N472,000

As the winner of the BBNaija 2020, Laycon goes home with the grand prize of N30 million cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy of Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy of Guinness, and home appliances courtesy of Scanfrost.

Others are a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it, and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller, trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.

In 2019, the BBNaija winner, Mercy Eke, won N30 million prize money, as well as other mouth-watering gifts.

BBNaija 2020: Nigerians kick as Biggie sends Tolanibaj out of diary room

Big Brother on Wednesday sent out BBNaija female housemate, Tolanibaj from the diary room.

Tolanibaj was sent out because she wore a bum short and a spaghetti top for her diary session.

This did not go down well with BBNaija fans who took to Twitter, commenting on Biggie’s action towards Tolanibaj.

Some are of the opinion that the organizers of BBNaija were being cautious due to the calls for the show to be banned.

TheNewsGuru recalls that Biggie had also told Kiddwaya to leave the diary room because he wore a sleeveless top.

Here are some comments gathered by TheNewsGuru from Twitter:

Biggie: Tolanibaj leave the diary room and wear something more appropriate.

“No weapon formed against big brother will prosper!

@CodenameKrisstie “ Big Brother asked TolaniBaj to leave the diary room and change into something more appropriate. Biggie what is wrong with what Tolani is wearing? Since when did you turn to deeper life or is the show not rated 18 again?

@Sas_jeff “ I seriously can’t see anything wrong with what Tolanibaj wore..Mercy wore things worse than that last season.”

@Winnie663 “I understand what Biggie is doing. The same reason Kayode has been changing our camera from more sensitive contents. It seems Lai Muhammad and NBC are after them.”

@M_jayslim “Enters Tolanibaj into the diary room wearing spaghetti top and bum shorts, feeling fly.

@Callme_Riken “ Because it is big brother show doesn’t mean housemates shouldn’t dress well.”

@Hardeshinaisma1 “He who pays the piper dictates the tune, you put your money where your mouth is, she signed up for the show, so she abides by Biggie’s rules, however, and whenever. The show rated 18 doesn’t mean they can’t be called to order.”

    @Whoknwstmrw “ This Biggie is no-nonsense O..

Asking Tolani Baj out of the Diary room to go and dress properly.”

@FaithNduka “ The diary room is like the only official place in big brother. You can’t come in there looking casual.”

@Pchinox “This is so embarrassing, Biggie must be stupid. He rated the show 18 and now he’s making it look like it a kids show.”

@FantasticoDon “ I really think the ideology of the show has changed due to the lockdown.”

BBNaija: Trouble looms as Big Brother allegedly holds Tacha hostage

Following Tacha’s shocking eviction from Big Brother Naija her management team have accused the organisers of the show of allegedly holding her hostage.

The issue is trending on Twitter and users are using #ReleaseTacha to call for her “freedom” from the organisers.

In a trending video, one of her team members said soldiers and bouncers were called in to stop Tacha from leaving.

It is being speculated that BBNaija crew were trying to get her to speak about the show.

But Tacha reportedly rebuffed and insisted she wanted to go home.

Big Brother disqualified Tacha on Friday night over act of provocation and violence.

Tacha was sent out following her argument with Mercy, which saw both housemates hurl insults at each other.

The fight started when Seyi called Mercy to the lounge so they could read Biggie’s scroll.

But Mercy who had her bath came out late for the reading. This, however, did not go down well with Tacha, who rained insults at her.

Mercy in return called Tacha a dirty girl with mouth and body odour, which got Tacha furious as she dragged Mercy’s hair.

Biggie after playing the clip of the housemate’s fight said Tacha was found guilty of physical violence.

Biggie who quoted an article from the Big Brother’s rules said ”You are guilty of physical assault and violence.”

He, therefore, disqualified Tacha from the reality show and issued two strikes to Mercy.

  • Biggie’s death hurts so bad- P Diddy declares

The rich and famous aren’t immune to the pains of death. Piddy Diddy brought this to the fore with a video of the 20th anniversary of Biggie’s death last year, and in a new interview with GQ, he reveals that he still hasn’t fully recovered from the guilt associated with the night the rapper died—March 9, 1997.

Through his Bad Boy record label, Diddy helped Notorious B.I.G rise to stardom.

On March 9, 1997, Biggie was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc album Life After Death, released 16 days later, rose to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000 by the Recording Industry Association of America, one of the few hip hop albums to receive this certification.

Wallace was noted for his “loose, easy flow”, dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities, sometimes changing his pitch on songs. Three more albums have been released since his death. He has certified sales of 17 million units in the United States,[6] including 13.4 million albums

In an interview with GQ, Diddy was asked if he had spoken to a therapist about Biggie’s death, and he said: “Nah… I haven’t dealt with any of that yet.

“I try to get into it, but…that’s something that just hurts so bad. That’s a time that’s still suppressed.”
