  • Forget Jackson Ude’s disease minded Fiction On Akpabio’s Birthday- Eyiboh

Forget Jackson Ude’s disease minded Fiction On Akpabio’s Birthday- Eyiboh

Hon Eseme Eyiboh, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed the itinerant literature of blackmail as the latest extract from the stables of Mr Jackson Ude on plans by friends of President of the Senate for his birthday.

In a rebuttal to Ude’s claims that the funding of the birthday is coming from the Senate and MDAs, Eyiboh challenged the author to show evidence or else gear himself for a date with the law for damaging the reputations of otherwise respectable persons in good standing in the society. Mr Jackson Ude should know by now that, being a fugitive can not shield a serial blackmailer from the long arms of the law.

Eyiboh who identified himself as a pivot in the coordination of the birthday affirmed that it was a purely private initiative from the friends and associates of the President of the Senate who consistently over the years come together to celebrate the timeless legacies of Akpabio, the destiny child. He as such affirmed that Ude not being a friend or associate could not have been privy to this yearly show of solidarity and uncommon brotherhood to a renaissance man.

    Hear him:
“Mr Ude who is certainly not a friend nor an associate of the President of the Senate has cooked up imaginations that extend the bounds of fantasy to apparently buttress his ranking in fiction writing.

“Unfortunately, in pushing his story on the plans that friends have for the Senate President, Ude has in his write-up encroached on the personal confidentiality of some of the friends of Senator Akpabio. It is a regrettable act of indiscretion picking up names of genuine friends of the President of the Senate in the hatchet job of character assassination of the distinguished President of the Senate and his close associates.

“As one of the friends deeply associated with the plans of the birthday, I affirm that the assertions of Ude including the tale of mopping funds from the Senate for the birthday are a cocktail of fabricated lies for which no serious person should rivet attention to.

“The birthday plans of the President of the Senate are well thought out plans from friends and associates from within and outside the National Assembly and funded from private sources even without the input of the President of the President.”

Hon Eyiboh as such called on all men of good reasoning to discountenance what he described as the frivolities of Mr Ude which he said were aimed at distracting from the plans to celebrate an uncommon man of destiny.

  • Peter Obi at 62: I can’t celebrate with over 327 killed this month

Peter Obi at 62: I can’t celebrate with over 327 killed this month

Mr. Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party at the 2023 elections, says he can’t celebrate his 62nd birthday with over 327 Nigerians killed in Plateau and Benue this month.

Obi, however, humbly appealed to all those who desired to celebrate him with any kind of gifts, to look around them and extend such gifts to the people in need, especially in these difficult times.

Obi, who was a former governor of Anambra, made this known in a statement in Lagos on Wednesday.

Obi said he doesn’t have any reason to celebrate his 62nd birthday due to the present state of the country especially in Benue, Plateau.

He said: “Today marks my 62nd birthday but there will be no celebration because in this month so far, over 327 innocent Nigerians have been killed in Plateau, Benue, and other states in a reckless manner.

“There is far too much insecurity, violence, and bloodshed. This month alone over 200 lives have been lost to sustained violent attacks in Mangu LGA in Plateau.

“Similarly, in Benue, over 100 lives have been lost in recent times, the latest being 27 persons killed in Adogo Ugbaam, Akpuuna, and Diom communities in Ukum LGA.

“There are also many other cases of kidnappings and killings in different parts of the country. I want to celebrate in a New Nigeria where the lives and property of citizens are secured.

Obi said while he remained grateful to God for His infinite mercies, he still maintained his decision of over 20 years, that he would not celebrate his birthdays in today’s Nigeria, with the current state of the nation.

The entrepreneur said some of his friends, members of the Labour Party, and OBIdient family and supporters had asked how they could join him in celebrating that day, and even present some gifts.

The former governor, however,  humbly appealed to all those who desired to celebrate him with any kind of gifts, to look around them and extend such gifts to the people in need, especially in these difficult times.

He said: “I urge them to visit hospitals, orphanages, and homes for the aged and people with disabilities, and offer them such generous gifts.

“They can also visit schools of basic studies in remote areas and support them with the basic amenities they need.

“Those who wish to do more can  visit various IDP camps in different parts of the country.”

Obi said he intended to do the same, adding that aside from sharing his time and resources with the less fortunate people around him, he also planned to raise money for schools and hospitals.

The former governor said the sacrifices for a better Nigeria must now start from them, the leaders and the well-placed, adding that the state of the nation must give them cause to pause and ponder.

He said he wanted to celebrate in a productive Nigeria that could create opportunities for the youths and he wanted to celebrate in a Nigeria that worked for all and which Nigerians could be proud of.

According to him, this, and not my birthday, is the true celebration that will be beneficial to all Nigerians.

He noted that as Nigerians, they must always expand their imagination of the possible, believing as we do that a better Nigeria was possible.

Chief Clark marks 96th birthday, preaches National unity

Elder statesman and South-South leader, Chief Edwin Clark has called all Nigerians to shelve all differences and work toward the development of the country.

Clark, also a former Minister of Information and leader,  Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), said this at a ceremony marking his 96th birthday in Abuja on Thursday.

“We are all one irrespective of our differences. Anybody that believes Nigeria should not be one, or we are one by mouth, or some people are oppressed, and intimidated, then there is no country.

“We cannot discriminate against our citizens. We must see ourselves as equal. That is what I’m fighting for.

“I’m a Nigerian. I will not keep quiet if my people are suffering. If one side of the country is suffering, I believe we all belong to this country,” he said.

Gov. Duoye Diri of Bayelsa supported Clark’s call for unity among Nigerians.

“I share in Clark’s fight for justice. The only way there will be peace is when there is justice and equity.

    I gave the devil a punch in his face – Ooni’s ex-queen

Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, former wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi has disclosed “giving the devil a punch right back in his face”.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Silekunola made the disclosure on her official Instagram page as she marked her 30th birthday on Saturday.

Revealing that life tested her, the former Ooni’s ex-queen also disclosed that she counts her 30th birthday as very significant.

She wrote: “The journey here has been beautiful. I can’t believe it’s three decades already. Yahweh has been faithful.

“Three decades didn’t happen without life testing me but with the grace of God so amazing, I gave the devil a punch right back in his face isn’t that grace?

“Now that I am on THE 3RD FLOOR, I count my 30th birthday as very significant, following in the footsteps of the one whose life was lived for others. A life of utmost sacrifice.

“So, I count all that I have done before now; the past 29 years of my life as preparation towards now and the future.

“Finally, my dearest family, ardent followers and fans, the Lord Most High is about to blow our minds.

“It is going to be nothing like we have ever experienced before. Hear this, “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early” (Psalm 46:5 KJV)”.
