    Police arrest woman, brother for robbing boyfriend

    The Police command in Lagos has detained a 25-year-old woman for allegedly conspiring with her brother and another accomplice to rob her boyfriend of three iPhones and bitcoins worth about N15 million.

    The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to journalists in Lagos on Saturday.

    He stated that the complainant reported the case at Okota Police Division on Feb. 17.

    “Upon receiving the report, the woman was apprehended,” Hundeyin said.

    He added that, following her confessional statement, officers tracked and arrested her 22-year-old younger brother.

    “Both of them confessed to the crime,” the spokesperson confirmed.

    Hundeyin stated that all the stolen phones and N6.5 million had been recovered and registered with the exhibit keeper.

    He added that investigations were ongoing to arrest the remaining gang members.

    She wrote: “When I was so much in love with my boyfriend, I complained to my friend that I didn’t want to lose him and she advised me to do something to keep him to myself alone. He became addicted to me to the extent it started affecting his job. He is always broke and almost annoying because all he want to do is be around me. My friend has relocated out and everywhere I have been to just to destroy what my friend gave me are not working. I don’t even want the relationship again but I feel he might hurt himself if I tell him. Please what can I do to cast this whole things away. I am not happy myself anymore.”

    Police arrest boyfriend over murder of 20-yr-old girl

    The police have arrested one Jamiu Salihu, 29, a suspected boyfriend of a 20-year-old university admission seeker, Miss Temitope Elemide, who was killed in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun.

    SP Omolola Odutola, the State Police Spokesman, confirmed the development to newsmen on Wednesday in Abeokuta.

    Odutola described the incident as a murder case which was reported to the police on Sunday.

    It was gathered that the victim was murdered on Sunday at her family residence at Bosero community, Olodo, in Odeda council area.

    Elemide was preparing for the next Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) before the incident.

    The police spokesperson explained that Elemide’s boyfriend had been arrested in connection with the murder.

    “There was a suspected murder report on Feb. 25, from Odeda that a lifeless body of Elemide was seen inside the room stabbed with a knife on her head and body.

    “There is one Jamiu Salihu, 29-year-old boyfriend, who is suspected to have committed the heinous crime. He was (allegedly) seen coming out from the bush on the said day of the crime,” she said.

    Odutola said one knife, two iron rods, and one android techno phone were recovered as exhibits.

    She added that the body of the victim had been deposited in the morgue.

    Lady in court for allegedly stealing boyfriend’s TV, foodstuff

    A 26-year-old sales representative, Miracle Bisong, was on Thursday docked in an Upper Customary Court in New Karu, Nasarawa State for allegedly stealing her boyfriend’s television, foodstuffs and money.

    The defendant, who resides in One Man Village, Karu, Nasarawa State was charged with criminal breach of trust and theft.

    She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

    The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt Christian Michael told the court that the complainant, Mr Anthony Omena reported the matter at the New Nyanya police station on May 7 at about 4 p.m.

    “The complainant, who happened to be the defendant’s boyfriend, alleged that he gave her his house keys before leaving for work.

    “Omena said he showed the defendant, a place where she was to drop the keys for easy access to his house when he returns.

    “However, when the complainant’s returned from work, he opened his door and discovered that the defendant had stolen an LG television, worth N88,000, rice, indomie, spaghetti, and N100,000 cash,” Michael told the court.

    The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 312 and 287 of the Penal Code.

    The judge, Ms. Evelyn Inarigu, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N300, 000 with one surety in like sum.

    She ordered that the surety must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court for not less than three years and must have a valid means of identification.

    Inarigu adjourned the case until May 31 for hearing

    Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh, has praised gasoline attendants as the true MVPs during this period of fuel scarcity.

    According to her, the only remedy from lengthy queues at filling stations is for her to have a boyfriend that sells fuel.

    In an Instagram story, the single mother revealed her intention to date a petrol station owner because he would provide her with fuel in these trying times.

    It would be recalled that IPMAN Public Relations Officer, Chief Chinedu Ukadike, had said the Federal Government was yet to improve supply.

    While urging Nigerians to be patient, he observed that many motorists have engaged in racketeering where they “fill up their tanks, go to sell to black marketers and return to the queues.

    “I want to advise our people to stop patronizing black marketers, this will help also in solving the problem”, he added.

    A woman has revealed that she was brutally dumped by her ex-boyfriend just 10 months after she donated her kidney to him.

    Colleen said that when she had the chance to change her boyfriend’s life six years ago, she didn’t think twice about going under the knife for him.

    When they first got together, Colleen said her boyfriend had been upfront about how he’d been struggling with chronic kidney disease since the age of 17, The Sun reports.

    This meant he had to be on dialysis and his kidneys functioned at just five per cent of the average capacity.

    She explained: “I decided to get tested to see if we were a match because I didn’t want to watch him die.”

    They were a match and Colleen donated a kidney to him

    The surgeries were a big success and both made a full recovery.

    However, Colleen said that he cheated on her seven months later.

    In a follow-up video on TikTok, Colleen explained how her ex told her he was going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party with some guys in his church.

    At the time, Colleen was in the middle of her final exams and trusted her boyfriend completely so didn’t think any more of it.

    Later, he turned up on her doorstep and confessed to cheating.

    “A lot of arguments later, I eventually forgave him and gave him a second chance,” she said.

    But three months later, the boyfriend brutally dumped Colleen over the phone.

    She claims he said: “If we are meant for each other, God will bring us back together in the end.”

    Colleen said the break-up only got messier from there.

    She said he told her: “You only donated your kidney to look good”.

    Angel said this on Sunday night while giving a brief introduction about herself to fellow housemates.

    According to her, she got depressed after her first boyfriend died in 2019.

    She, however, did not disclose what led to his death.

    The 21-year-old said: “My ever first boyfriend died in 2019 and it took a toll on my mental health. I started self harming .

    “My quest in Finding a place in the world is one of the reasons I ended up here.

    “His death got me and I was depressed for sometime but I thank God I’m here.

    “Coming to Big Brother made me realize my life is not stick and gave me hope.”

    She, however, added that she is single now and ready to be in a relationship.

    The Ekiti State police command have arrested a 16-year-old girl, Abimbola Suluka alongside her boyfriend, Oluwaseun Olajide for alleged conspiracy and self-kidnapping.

    Abimbola is alleged to have conspired with her 25-year-old boyfriend and two of his friends to stage the abduction so as to raise money.

    The Police spokesperson Sunday Abutu in a statement on Friday explained that Abimbola’s sister had gone to the police station to report that her sister was missing after leaving the house for school.

    Abutu said the sister explained that when Abimbola’s phone was called, an unknown person answered the call and informed them that she was in his custody and would not release her until a ransom of N500,000 was paid.

    Luck ran against the suspects when the holder of the account given for the ransom payment was tracked and arrested by the anti-kidnapping unit of the police and forced to lead the police team to a hotel within the state capital where the supposedly abducted Abimbola and her boyfriend were nabbed.

    Abimbola with the three others confessed to committing the crime, claiming she wanted to raise money from her family members to enable her relocate from Ekiti State since her mother insisted she studies medicine as against her own dream of becoming an actress.

    Ekiti State Police Command Arrests Four For Conspiracy And Self-kidnapping

    The Ekiti State Police Command on Thursday 17th June, 2021 at about 2000hrs, arrested one *SULUKA ABIMBOLA* ‘f’ 16, alongside her boyfriend, one *OLUWASEUN DANIEL OLAJIDE* ‘m’ 25, for conspiracy and self-kidnapping.

    It would be recalled that on the 16/06/2021 at about 1140hrs, one Bolaji Femi of Bawa Estate, Ado-Ekiti, came to New Iyin Divisional Police Headquarters and reported that her sister, one Suluka Abimbola left home for School at Christ School, Ado-Ekiti, on 15/06/2021 and did not return home.

    She further narrated that when Suluka Abimbola’s GSM number was called, an unknown person picked and confirmed that Suluka Abimbola was in their custody but would not be released until a ransom of five hundred thousand naira is paid to a particular Union Bank Account belonging to one Adisa Damilola.

    The case was immediately transferred to the Anti-kidnapping Unit of the State CID where the owner of the account, one Adisa Damilola ‘f’ who is also a friend to Oluwaseun Daniel Olajide, was tracked and arrested. Adisa Damilola led the Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Unit to Alex Grace Hotel, along Housing, Ado-Ekiti, where Suluka Abimbola and her boyfriend, Oluwaseun Daniel Olajide, alongside one other accomplice, Adefolaju Caleb ‘m’ 23, were lodging and were arrested.

    During interrogation, Suluka Abimbola confessed to the commission of the crime as well as Oluwaseun Daniel Olajide and Adefolaju Caleb. Suluka Abimbola said she decided to conspire with the other suspects to do that in order for her to raise money from her family members to enable her relocate from Ekiti State since her Mother insisted that she goes through medical field as against her dream of becoming an Actress.

    The Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Tunde Mobayo, condemns the act and has directed that investigation be conducted for further action to serve as a deterrent to other criminally minded persons in the Society.
