Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane says he’s not happy with how the Brazilians were dancing to celebrate their goals against South Korea at the World Cup.

The Samba stars netted four in the first half, before Korea got one back in the second period for the game to finish 4-1.

“Fantastic finish by Vinicius, great start to the game. But I’ve never seen so much dancing,” fumed ITV pundit Keane.

“I can’t believe what I’m watching, I can’t believe what I’m watching, it’s like watching Strictly [Come Dancing].”

“I don’t like this. People say it’s their culture. But I think that’s really disrespecting the opposition,” Keane furiously continued.

“It’s four goals, and they are doing it every time.

“I don’t mind so much the first jig, it’s the one after that, and the manager getting involved.

“I’m not happy about it. I don’t think it’s good at all.”

World Cup: Brilliant Brazil outclass South Korea to advance into quater-finals

Brazil delivered an ominous message to their World Cup rivals with a dazzling display of attacking brilliance to dismantle South Korea 4-1 and set up a quarter-final against Croatia.

Neymar made a goalscoring return to action after injury at Stadium 974, but Brazil’s superstar was only one element of a devastating performance that ripped South Korea to shreds and settled this last-16 game well before half-time.

Vinicius Junior set the tone with a composed penalty-area finish from Raphinha’s cross after seven minutes, and Neymar doubled Brazil’s advantage from the spot six minutes later after Richarlison had been fouled.

It was Neymar’s 76th goal for Brazil, leaving him just one behind the legendary Pele’s all-time record.

Richarlison then produced the highlight and another entry into his personal showreel of great goals at this World Cup when he followed up his spectacular volley against Serbia with a real work of art, controlling the ball three times with his head and foot before moving into position take Thiago Silva’s pass in his stride and score.

Brazil went four up with another gem after 36 minutes, Vinicius picking out Lucas Paqueta for West Ham’s expensive acquisition to score with a well-placed volley.

South Korea, to their great credit, continued to compete and forced several fine saves from Brazil keeper Alisson, before substitute Paik Seung-ho pulled one back with a glorious 30-yard strike to add to the night’s collection of special goals.

Alex Telles releases statement after World Cup heartbreak

Manchester United loanee Alex Telles has given an update about his fitness after sustaining a knee injury during Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon at the World Cup Friday.

TheNewsGuru reports that Telles has now issued a statement announcing that he is out for the rest of Qatar 2022, with an MRI revealing a serious problem.

“Paths are not straight, they have bends,” Telles wrote on Instagram.

“Not every moment in life is joyful, but the bright side of it (and we absolutely always have the counterpoint to sadness) is that after the cry, it’s time to smile. I always had a childhood dream, which was to defend my country in a World Cup. And that dream, you can be sure, did not end here.

“My dream remains inside every teammate who will enter the field in the matches until the end of the World Cup. My dream follows inside every fan who screams for our country in the stands. Because this dream was never just mine, it has always been a dream of all those who love Brazil and live intensely football. I follow by heart and fan from now on. In fact, I still feel as I’ve always felt: a Brazilian who never gave up dreaming. I made a drawing as a kid that showed everything I wanted and actually ever wanted in my life.

“Before the match against Cameroon, I looked at that drawing and asked God to let his will be done. And this is how I’m dealing with every minute since I left the field. Nothing comes without a purpose in our lives. And with the same will of that child who drew his dreams, I will follow my path. Thanks everyone for the love. I will come back even stronger!!!!! THE DREAM CONTINUES.”

Qatar 2022: Air conditioning in stadiums is causing sickness – Antony

Manchester United and Brazil winger Antony has claimed that he is feeling unwell at the World Cup due to air conditioning.

Most of the stadiums in Qatar are air-conditioned for the tournament, even though it is taking place in the winter to ensure the climate is more moderate in the gulf nation.

Antony, who came off the bench in their two wins over Serbia and Switzerland, pointed to the air con as an issue for himself and some of his teammates.

He told ESPN Brazil: “It was a bit difficult. I ended up having a bad feeling there for a few days that complicated me a bit.

“I’m recovering well and getting 100 per cent. It was more of a sickness, throat. It was the air conditioning (in the stadiums).

“Not only me, but other players also had a cough and a bad throat. It’s very difficult for me to get sick, but I’m happy to be an important part of the team.

“Whenever you need Antony, I’m available.”

  • ‘I’ll kick the ball into the net soon and I won’t stop again’ – Gabriel Jesus

‘I’ll kick the ball into the net soon and I won’t stop again’ – Gabriel Jesus

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has rejected doubts about his goalscoring ability at Arsenal.

His last goal came in the North London derby win over Tottenham on October 1. It means he has now gone 13 games without a goal for club and country.

Jesus told Apostagolos at the World Cup: “Of course, I’m the player who should score every now and then, I’m here for the goals.

“When I’m on the field I try to score, but I also try to help.

“When we win, I’m happy too. To be honest, I’m not thinking about that. If I get a chance, I’ll score. I’m sure.”

Asked specifically if his finishing is a problem, the 25-year-old hit back: “No, I don’t think so.

“We can talk about finishing, but the most appropriate thing is to talk about the chances I had. It’s different football here and at Arsenal.

“Even though I had a few chances and I lost, I’m sure it’s not about submitting. I started the season so well and nobody was asking about it.

“But it’s not a problem. I’ll kick the ball into the net soon and I won’t stop again.”

Qatar 2022: Brazil beat Switzerland 1-0, qualify for round of 16

Hard-fighting Selecao of Brazil kept it late before seeing off the Switzerland side 1-0 in a very interesting group H encounter.

The Swiss  had a bit of joy in the first few minutes, causing Brazil a few issues with flicked first-time balls into the channels but none of it led to a goal.

In the 13th minute, Brazil had an opportunity to score when Lucas Paqueta, sent Richarlison away for the first time. The Spurs striker breaks down the right but there’s a lack of numbers in the box and his ball toward Vinicius Junior was cut out by the Swiss defenders.

First half ended goalless with both sides needing a win to make it to the round of 16.

However, in the 65th minute, Vinicius Jr. thought he had put Brazil in front  but VAR intervened and saw his opener being chalked off because of an offside call in the build-up.

However, luck smiled on Brazil when  Vinicius Junior  flicked the ball in for Casemiro, whose half-volley takes a nick off Manuel Akanji on its way into the far corner of the net inside 83rd minute of the encounter.

Brazil eventually won the game 1-0 and qualified for the round of 16 at the Mundial.
