I prayed to God to deflate my bum-Didi Ekanem
Curvy actress and entrepreneur, Didi Ekanem has revealed that she prayed to God deflate her bum.
The role interpreter in a series of posts shared to her Instastories on Thursday said she used to be bullied as a young girl due to her curvy stature.
Ekanem noted that she is going to open a YouTube channel to tell her fans how she used to be bullied in secondary school for being curvy. Didi said she severally prayed to God for her curvy figure to be taken away from her.
“I’m going to open a YouTube channel so I can tell you guys about me, my body, how I used to be bullied in secondary school for being cury.
“How I used to cry endlessly at nights and prayed to God to deflate my bum cos of mockery. Growing up as a young girl, it was tough,” she swrote.
She continued: “Mercy Johnson literally made curvy women in Nigeria to start embracing their beauty. The way she was so confident in her body was mind-blowing and I remember wishing to be like her always. That’s how she became my favourite Nigerian actress and not to mention her strong acting prowess.”

Female artistes worth more than shaking bum- Onyeka Onwenu
Veteran musician, Onyeka Onwenu fondly called the elegant stallion is a woman of many parts.
From being a singer, actress, politician and journalist, Onwenu has her hands in many pies.
In a recent virtual interview, the ‘One Love’ crooner urged female artistes to do more than shaking their bums and work towards becoming legacy artistes.
“Be careful of what you live for posterity. If you can’t give your best, don’t step out because what you recorded is always going to be there for long, so you got to give it the very best. Center your artistry around something that will last with meaning, not just shaking bumbum and it’s just the women that are always shaking it, the men don’t shake anything. Women are worth more than shaking their bumbum. Enough of the bumbum”.
Asked if her family supported her when she got married to a Yoruba Muslim, she said: “Not at all. My family kind of knew that I am an independent-minded person. I will do whatever I wanted to do in terms of whomever I fell in love with. He was a Muslim before we got married and there was no objection to that. My children are proudly Yoruba and Igbo, so if you say something bad about the two tribes, they’ll query you and that is the attitude we should all have”.

Popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has refuted claims that she deliberately flaunts her huge backside for popularity and also attract the opposite sex.
She said it was natural for people to notice her bum because it is big and obvious for anyone who cares to see.
“People who think I flaunt my sexual appeal for popularity are very wrong. I cannot hide my bum. It is big and everybody can see it. Even the blind can feel it. Why would anyone think I’m flaunting it for attention?”
The chubby actress who spoke with Saturday beats also noted that she was supporting Big Brother Naija housemate, Laycon, because of his talent. She said, “I support him because he is talented and intelligent. And I feel he has a lot in him to give out. It is not about physical appearance because there were lots of beautiful ladies and handsome men in the house (and there still are). Also, he has a special kind of grace that attracts people to him.”
The entrepreneur also maintained that her businesses were doing well. She added, “All my businesses are booming by the grace of God and I thank God for that. Right now, I am facing my businesses because that is what pays my bills aside from acting. The COVID-19 pandemic slowed down a lot of things. But hopefully, in the next two months, I should release a movie.”
