SHOCKING! Missing bizman’s body found in freezer with chainsaw, hedge clippers

The dismembered body of a missing German businessman was found in a freezer inside a house in southern Thailand.

This isncident was confirmed by the Thai police in a report published by the CBS News on Tuesday.

Tawee Kudthalaeng, the police chief in the town of Nong Prue, said the body of 62-year-old Hans-Peter Mack was discovered at about 11 p.m. Monday. Mack had been missing since July 4, the Bangkok Post reported.

Investigators located his body by using security camera videos from the area, Tawee said. He did not elaborate, but photos and video published by Thai media showed the freezer in the bed of a black truck with a man squatting next to it.

Mack was last seen driving his Mercedes sedan in Pattaya, a coastal city in southern Thailand, according to a missing person announcement distributed by his family that offered a reward of 3 million baht ($86,000) for information leading to his return.

Crowds gathered outside the gates of the house where his body was discovered and watched as forensic teams in white coveralls, hair nets and blue gloves pored over the scene.

Video broadcast on Thai PBS television showed experts inside the dwelling going through a garbage bag taken from a large white freezer. They pulled out a Makita cordless chainsaw and charging unit, a pair of yellow-handled hedge clippers and two large rolls of plastic.

The bag was taken out of the home, followed by a body covered with a plastic sheet on a stretcher and the freezer.

Mack lived in Pattaya with his Thai wife and worked as a real estate broker, according to local media reports. He had been a resident of Thailand for at least several years.

According to Thai PBS, his wife said that on the day he went missing, she was supposed to have lunch with Mack, but he didn’t show up.

She tried calling him, the station reported, and a text message was later sent to her mobile phone, claiming he would call back. At about 10pm that night, she said she received another text from Mack’s phone saying he was still with a client, according to the station. However, she said he had never texted her before in their five-year-relationship, Thai PBS reported.

His Mercedes E350 was found Sunday in the parking lot of a condominium in Nong Prue, an upscale settlement popular with foreigners northeast of Pattaya in Chonburi province.

According to police, there were traces of what appeared to be a cleaning solvent on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and other areas of the car.

“There was intention to destroy evidence and the case indicates that Mr. Hans-Peter Ralter Mack’s disappearance was suspicious,” Police Major General Theerachai Chamnanmor said, according to the Bangkok Post.

Tawee said police determined that a large amount of money was missing from Mack’s bank account, which they suspect is linked to the slaying. The police chief refused to elaborate but said investigators were looking into several suspects, both German nationals and Thai.

The German Embassy in Bangkok referred all queries to the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin, which said it was aware of the case of a missing German citizen and that officials were in contact with the man’s relatives and Thai authorities. It said it could not give further details for privacy reasons.

The telephone number listed on the missing person poster went unanswered Tuesday.

Man dragged to court for allegedly marrying five wives

A businessman, Awaisu Jibril, on Wednesday appeared at a Shari’a Court sitting at Rigasa, Kaduna, for allegedly marrying five wives, contrary to Islamic teaching.

The prosecutor, Insp. Sambo Maigari, had told the court that one Musa Abdullahi, a community leader, had reported the matter to the Rigasa Police Division.

The defendant told the court that he only had four wives because he had divorced the fourth a month before marrying the fifth.

He, however, stated that the fourth wife had not finished her waiting period (Iddah) as she was supposed to observe three menstrual cycle.

On her part, the fifth wife Naja’atu Kabir, told the court that she wasn’t aware he was still married to the fourth, stating that she was one month pregnant.

The judge, Malam Anass Khalifa, said it was wrong to add another wife, knowing well that the fourth wife had not finished Iddah.

He ruled that the fifth marriage was invalid as it was not permissable in Islam to have more than four wives, adding that the pregnancy of the fifth wife was legitimate.

“After thorough investigation and testimony by witnesses, the court has realised that the fourth defendant is ignorant on the ruling of Islam regarding marriage and divorce.

“Therefore, he will continue to take care of Naja’atu Kabir and the pregnancy until she gives birth; he will also take care of the child after birth because the child is his.

“He shall inherit his father because he was not conceived out of wedlock but as a result of ignorance and lack of investigation from both parents,” he said.

The judge also confirmed the one pronouncement of divorce of the fourth wife.

He adjourned to April 19 for a ruling on the defendant

  • The DENSA Awards Organisers react as Lagos businessman calls them out for extortion

The DENSA Awards Organisers react as Lagos businessman calls them out for extortion

A Lagos-based businessman has called out the organisers of De Elite Nigerian Star Awards known as DENSA for alleged callous attitude towards its nominees and guests in the 2022 edition.

The DENSA Award is a Business and Entertainment Award presented annually to recognize and celebrate excellence, exceptionality, and distinguished personalities in distinct fields who have remained outstanding and influenced their field of operation socially, positively and created impacts in the Industry but sadly, for the businessman who pleaded anonymity, the award ceremony which held on Sunday 14th November 2022 in Warri, Delta State, was far from being ‘organised’ as he alleged that the event was turned into a family and friends affair and a terrible Fundraising showoff award show.

While narrating his ordeal to our correspondent, the businessman who happened to be one of the nominees, further accused the organisers of extortion, calling on the government to set up a regulatory body to checkmate Award Organisers in the country as most of them keep exploiting hardworking Nigerians.

In his words, “Imagine paying over 500k and 1 million for an award show just to be presented 2 puffs to be shared among 10 respectable individuals, wasting over 8 hours on irrelevant theatrics, and stopping the show for ‘Do ri me’ over 20 times frustrating all guests.

“The fact that organizations do not have any regulatory body that can sanction them is the reason why a bunch of people looking for ways to make quick money can just decide to host an award show, get people’s hard-earned money and then turn the show to a circus for ‘friends and family’ and this is exactly what the organizers of THE DENSA awards did.

“Being nominated for an award is one of the highest honours anyone can get but THE DENSA awards turned it into a nightmare for the nominees and their guests after demanding a whooping 500,000 naira and 1,000,000 respectively per table in this devastating economy. As if charging that much was not enough, the organizers of the so-called award show said it would be starting by 7 pm but started by 10 pm and dragged the show on till 5 am with their guests being served two packs of ‘puff puff’ filled small chops for a table of 10 and at such amount, too ridiculous to even mention.

“If you are wondering why the show dragged on for 8 hours, it is due to the fact that DEMSA show organizers thought the right thing to do is stop the music every time an attendee buys a drink, now imagine how much interruptions people had to bear while waiting for their awards. It is also worth noting that multiple casualties were recorded throughout the 8-hour show. The organizers had their air conditioning on all through even while the attendees pleaded with them to turn it off and people were falling sick.

“All these and more lead us to beg the question, why are such inhumane and tacky people allowed to be hosts of something as regal as an award? Are there no regulatory bodies overseeing and checking these people’s excesses? If nothing is done, how long would these thieves masking as organizers exploit unknowing people and go free?

“The DENSA Awards was a disgrace and a terrible Fundraising showoff award show”, he said.

Reacting to the accusation, an official of The DENSA Awards show, Barry Bayagbon, in a phone call with our correspondent offered his sincere apology to the Lagos-based businessman and every other awardee who felt downplayed or offended by the organisation, admitting that there were management issues that delayed the event.

Barry while debunking the allegation levelled against the organisers of the event stated that the awardees and guests only paid for tables and they all got served respectively, except for those whose demands were excessive.

He said, ” I can put about five different awardees on a conference call with you right now and you would confirm that nobody was extorted and the money most of them paid was for tables and we gave them our best based on the amount they paid for their tables. Drinks, small chops, table water were all provided on their tables”.

Also, on its official Instagram page, the organisers offered concrete apologies for the management issues that caused an uproar.
