Transfer: Real Madrid consider re-sigining Man Utd star

La Liga club Real Madrid are exploring re-signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

Trivela says Real are considering a move for the Brazilian veteran in January.

Real management recognise the retirement of Toni Kroos has left a massive void, which has led to discussions about bringing Casemiro back to the club.

It’s believed Casemiro would have a big impact on the pitch and in the dressing room at Real, which are struggling for consistency this season.

The 32 year-old left Real for United in 2022 and has a deal to 2026.

During the second-half, there were claims Casemiro had left the stadium and traveled home.

But after the 3-0 reverse, Ten Hag told talkSPORT: “It’s not true. He was in the dressing room. I just met him.”

Casemiro’s deal with United runs to 2026.

I learn daily from Casemiro – Kobbie Mainoo

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has lavished praise on Casemiro.

The youngster is enjoying the season of his life, as he becomes a United and England regular.

However, Mainoo knows that he still has so much to learn about the game as a teenager.

“I think just to scan even more because I feel like he sees things before everyone else does,” said Mainoo, answering a fan question.

“And, playing with him [Casemiro], sometimes he might give you the ball and you’re not expecting it.

“So I think it’s having to just be knowing what he’s thinking and always scanning so, whatever he thinks is happening next, I can try to be as quick and to be clued up as to what he’s thinking to do next. So I can try to get in the right positions and stuff and be around him.

“I mean, in training, you can see it a lot in the way he moves the ball so quickly and the way he sees these passes that not many other people see. So I try to watch him closely and see when he’s looking, when he’s scanning and when he’s looking and what he’s seeing, and try to pick that up in my game so I can be effective as well.”

EPL: Report shows Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United

Brazil and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United from Real Madrid, a report has shown.

The Brazilian moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a big-money move last summer and made a huge impression under Erik ten Hag in his debut season, helping United to a top-four finish and Carabao up glory.

However, the defensive midfielder hasn’t replicated his last season form so far in the 2023/24 season.

Casemiro has struggled for form this season, with opposition managers deliberately targeting him.

It has now emerged that Casemiro ‘regrets’ making the move from Spain.

It is understood that his time at United could be “short-lived”, with the 31-year-old concerned over “institutional instability” at the club.

United are also “not happy with” Casemiro and are interested in signing Joao Neves from Benfica as a replacement.

However, they could make a formal bid for Neves, which might led to Casemiro’s future being evaluated in the summer.

United are unlikely to sell Casemiro in January given the fact he is still under contract until 2026.

Manchester United have struggled for form this season as they have only managed to gather 15 points from 9 matches.

Why Fernandes and I often argue – Casemiro

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro says he and Bruno Fernandes have a rock-solid relationship.

The pair have been seen this season regularly arguing in games.

But Casemiro, ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final, said: “I have a very good relationship with Bruno, we get on really well, and as you get to know him as a player, I can say this with complete confidence, he is one of the most important players at the club and everyone sees what a great player he is.

“We could spend all day talking about how good Bruno is because he is a fantastic player but to be honest and I say this to him, I expect a great deal from him because in my eyes, he’s one of the most important players in the team.

“So, when he misses a chance, when one of his passes goes astray, we always want him to do everything perfectly but these are normal conversations.

“I’ve never had an argument with Bruno, the opposite in fact, I just always demand a lot from him, and he demands a lot from me too.

“Behind the scenes too, sometimes we’ll say to each other, ‘You could have scored, you could have done better there, because you’ve got the quality to do it’.”

Following the heated argument that ensued between Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro after their 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, Manchester United coach has backed both players for their actions.

However, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has insisted that he saw “no problem” with both players having heated argument.

Casemiro appeared to be lambasting his team-mate before Harry Maguire came over to intervene.

Both players have previously been caught on camera arguing on the pitch, most recently after winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley.

But speaking to United’s official website, Ten Hag has said he encourages his players to confront each other.

“Yes, of course [I encourage them]. They have to communicate. They have to organise it and make sure we get a win.

“So when they are talking to each other, in discussion, debating with each other, I don’t have a problem with that,” Ten Hag said.

Taylor had initially produced a yellow card for the tackle.

But VAR advised him to check the pitchside monitor and the card was changed to a red one.

It was Casemiro’s second sending off in three Premier League games.

EPL: Casemiro could face disciplinary action for unruly act

Brazilian and Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro could be facing disciplinary action for his unruly act in the match versus Crystal palace.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Casemiro strangled a Crystal palace player during a melee between players of both teams in the English Premier League encounter which Manchester United Won.

The midfielder was given a straight red card in the 2-1 win against Palace after grabbing Hughes by the jugular.

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa man, Gabriel Agbonlahor has told the FA to arrest and discipline Casemiro after the incident that saw the Brazilian sent off against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

According to Agbonhalor, the former Real Madrid man thought he was a super star wrestler and wanted to strangle Crystal Palace’s Will Hughes.

The melee began with a scuffle between Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp and United’s Antony and the 2022 summer signing got involved as a number of players shoved one another.

“Casemiro thought he was Brock Lesnar back in the UFC,” Agbonhalor told talkSPORT.

“The way he was strangling Will Hughes, he should be arrested for that. Kids are watching that later on, on Match of the Day. Seeing Casemiro strangling an opponent.

“This isn’t ice hockey in America where they have a scrap during the game. This is football, we don’t want to see that.

“So Casemiro needs to be disciplined by Manchester United,” he said.

Casemiro has been described by fans and pundits as one of the best players in the Red Devils squad this season since his £70 million move from Real Madrid.

The Brazilian was just returning from a one-match ban before the red card incident that will now keep him out of action for another three games.

Casemiro missed United’s defeat to Arsenal last weekend due to suspension. The 30-year-old picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in United’s draw with the same Crystal Palace team.

Qatar 2022: Brazil beat Switzerland 1-0, qualify for round of 16

Hard-fighting Selecao of Brazil kept it late before seeing off the Switzerland side 1-0 in a very interesting group H encounter.

The Swiss  had a bit of joy in the first few minutes, causing Brazil a few issues with flicked first-time balls into the channels but none of it led to a goal.

In the 13th minute, Brazil had an opportunity to score when Lucas Paqueta, sent Richarlison away for the first time. The Spurs striker breaks down the right but there’s a lack of numbers in the box and his ball toward Vinicius Junior was cut out by the Swiss defenders.

First half ended goalless with both sides needing a win to make it to the round of 16.

However, in the 65th minute, Vinicius Jr. thought he had put Brazil in front  but VAR intervened and saw his opener being chalked off because of an offside call in the build-up.

However, luck smiled on Brazil when  Vinicius Junior  flicked the ball in for Casemiro, whose half-volley takes a nick off Manuel Akanji on its way into the far corner of the net inside 83rd minute of the encounter.

Brazil eventually won the game 1-0 and qualified for the round of 16 at the Mundial.

Casemiro can rescue Maguire’s Man Utd career – Rooney

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes Casemiro can yet rescue the Old Trafford career of Harry Maguire.

Rooney says Maguire has lacked protection ahead of him in midfield.

He explained, “He has performed better for England than he has for United — I think he would agree — and over the last couple of years United have struggled.

“He hasn’t had much protection and it is no coincidence that now there is more stability in the middle of the pitch with Casemiro, United’s defenders are playing better.

“With England, he has always had that protection.”
