  • Inzaghi, Lukaku major Inter Milan problems – Cassano

Inzaghi, Lukaku major Inter Milan problems – Cassano

Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano remains unconvinced by Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi.

Cassano insists only winning the Champions League should see Inzaghi keep hold of his job.

He told Bobo TV: “The coach is giving the right tips, but Inter don’t miss the decisive matches. I like Simone Inzaghi, but he doesn’t satisfy the work he’s doing, it’s not enough.

“Yes, he won two trophies in his first year, but last year he didn’t do well in the league and this year he is -20 from Napoli. It’s an eternity… The Champions League? It can save the coach’s season, but only by winning it.

“If you get there in the final, you were favourites having met Porto, Benfica and Milan. But if you don’t win, the season isn’t enough. ”

“(Romelu) Lukaku? If he is (Antonio) Conte’s, he opens the world to Lautaro (Martinez). Not this Lukaku, I prefer (Edin) Dzeko who has been working as almost a 10.

“If Lukaku goes back to being Conte’s, he becomes another mechanism, but I still see him cumbersome.”

  • Jose Mourinho ignoble, he is shameful – Cassano

Jose Mourinho ignoble, he is shameful – Cassano

Former Roma player Antonio Cassano slammed coach Jose Mourinho after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Torino.

Cassano is furious with the way Mourinho has managed Roma this season.

He said on RAI: “Mourinho has to do only one thing, first of all talk about what his team is doing. The incredible thing is that even today he was caught with the ball for 70 minutes and nobody asks him the question.

“There are always extra problems, never one. Once he says he can’t get the team to play well, it’s always the fault of the others. In 20 minutes, (Paulo) Dybala came in, who is the strongest player, but then you have to take 10 players and he doesn’t have to go to the bench. The coach has to do something, he’s been doing nothing for a year and a half.”

On Rick Karsdorp, who was dropped for the game, Cassano added: “Mourinho ignoble, he is shameful. You can’t say hallucinating things about a boy, he also struggles to go out for breakfast. He blames others instead of thinking about his game. You talk to his face and that’s it.”

  • Serie A: Napoli biggest threat for Inter Milan – Cassano

Serie A: Napoli biggest threat for Inter Milan – Cassano

Former Italy international Antonio Cassano has praised the work of Luciano Spalletti at Napoli.

Cassano rates Napoli as title contenders.

He told Bobo TV: “Napoli are the anti-Inter team, since after Christmas they have made little or no mistakes, they have convinced me even more than the Nerazzurri.

“They’ve had their ups and downs, which are normal, but at the moment as a footballing proposition they’re the one I enjoy watching the most.

“I think Inter should be afraid of them.”

  • Antonio Cassano criticises Mourinho work at Roma

Antonio Cassano criticises Mourinho work at Roma

Former Roma striker Antonio Cassano believes the team is still struggling under Jose Mourinho.

Cassano was reacting to Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Genoa.

He said on Bobo TV: “Roma are playing badly and I don’t want to use excuses linked to incidents or anything else. Against Genoa you have to win because you’re stronger. Of those in the top half of the table I think the Giallorossi are the biggest disappointment.

“After the first few months with a very good football proposal, the candle has gone out. And I don’t know if it’s down to the 6-1 win over Bodo or the players or something else. For sure Mourinho needs to be given more time, but today the team is suffering, struggling and has no tactical idea.

“I don’t think Mourinho has yet managed to provide the stability the team needs.”

  • Serie A: Allegri in real danger at Juve – Cassano

Serie A: Allegri in real danger at Juve – Cassano

Antonio Cassano believes Juventus coach Max Allegri could be under pressure after their 1-1 draw with Venezia.

Juve continue to struggle for consistency this season under Allegri.

“On the market, one average Juventus player is worth all 25 of Venezia’s. And I’m not talking about Dybala or de Ligt,” said the retired striker during his regular appearance with Bobo TV.

“I would put these words in the conference in all the classes for the children to see.

“But be careful, this situation is hurting Allegri really badly. He is trying to keep doing like he has always done, without getting help from anyone. So he is really in danger of being sent packing.”

  • Cassano reveals Ronaldo direct message over criticism

Cassano reveals Ronaldo direct message over criticism

Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano has revealed Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has contacted him in the past about his criticism.

Cassano says former Juventus ace Ronaldo is too thin skinned.

He told Bobo TV: “Ronaldo wrote me messages, Cristiano Ronaldo, telling me that I had to have respect for him, for what he had won, for the goals he had scored.

“I am not afraid of the truth, I face the whole world, from the Pope to the last of this Earth. I called Buffon and he confirmed that he gave my number to the press officer who he turned it over to Ronaldo to tell me that he scored 750 goals and I only 150.

“I say: dear Cristiano Ronaldo, you have everything, you live calm and relaxed. Take example from Messi, he doesn’t give a damn about everything and everyone. Send the message to me, this is the truth. And Gigi Buffon, he knows it well. And Gigi laughed, even Chiellini knew. He made me angry. But how are you doing? What are your problems?”

  • Cassano dismisses Cristiano Ronaldo as football legend

Cassano dismisses Cristiano Ronaldo as football legend

Former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano insists Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo is overrated.

Cassano admits he’s not a big fan of the Portuguese great.

He told Bobo TV: “Is Cristiano Ronaldo the best player in history?

“He doesn’t even rank in the top five. For me, Lionel Messi, Pele, Maradona, Cruyff and Ronaldo are phenomenal players at a different level.

“If I had to change someone on the list, I would put Marco Van Basten.”

  • Jorginho knows he doesn’t deserve Ballon d’Or – Cassano

Jorginho knows he doesn’t deserve Ballon d’Or – Cassano

Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano has dismissed talk of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho winning the Ballon d’Or.

And he insists Jorginho agrees with his opinion.

Cassano told Bobo TV: “Do you remember when I said that the journalist who votes for Jorginho for the Ballon d’Or should have his license revoked? Well, I was in Formentera with my family and just as I sat down I felt a touch.

“‘Antonio, you are amazing!’, the voice said. I turned around to ask who he was, he took off his glasses and mask, and it was Jorginho.

“I said to him, ‘Jorgi, can you understand the scandal if they would give you the Ballon d’Or instead of Messi?’ He replied that he absolutely agreed with me, Messi should always win the prize. Now I admire Jorginho even more. We talked for 90 good minutes. He is an exceptional guy, very intelligent, humble and polite.”

  • If City sign Lukaku I’ll no longer support Guardiola – Cassano

If City sign Lukaku I’ll no longer support Guardiola – Cassano

Former Italy forward Antonio Cassano says he’ll no longer be a fan of Pep Guardiola should Manchester City sign Romelu Lukaku.

The former Manchester United striker has been outstanding for Serie A champions-elect Inter Milan for the past two seasons and his form has led him to being mentioned as a target for City.

Cassano believes Lukaku isn’t suited to Guardiola’s system.

He said, “If Guardiola takes him, I won’t support him anymore.

“What does Lukaku have to do with his idea of the game? To increase his salary? Then they (Inter) will renew his contract.”

  • ‘Juventus made a mistake by signing Ronaldo’

‘Juventus made a mistake by signing Ronaldo’

Former Italy international Antonio Cassano has said signing Cristiano Ronaldo has proven to be a mistake by Juventus.

The Portuguese superstar arrived in Turin in 2018 with the aim being to propel Juventus to Champions League glory.

That aim remains unfulfilled, and Cassano feels Juve erred in signing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner from Real Madrid.

“Juventus signed him to win the Champions League, but they’ve done worse with him than they’ve done before,” Cassano said to Corriere dello Sport.

“They would have won the Scudetto [Serie A title] without him. It was the wrong project.

“He’ll keep scoring goals because he knows how to do that no matter what. He’ll cut in from the left, get the ball on his right foot and fire it in. His headers are unique.

“But [head coach Andrea] Pirlo wants to build the play, pressure the opposition and play between the lines, and this means Cristiano doesn’t participate much.

“I think he will have done badly unless they manage to win the Champions League.”
