    Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke Faani, has taken down her Instagram page following an alleged worsening mental breakdown.

     

    According to a popular blogger, Gistlover, the actress’s medical condition has gone beyond the bipolar disorder she was diagnosed with, in 2020.

     

    The faceless blogger also claimed that the actress’s condition has made her team take down her Instagram page.

     

    The actress’s Instagram page was discovered to have been taken down indeed.

    The blog post reads, “Another sad news for Nollywood. God oo. This ija industry jazz too full am oo Kai. That beautiful woman. No wonder Dem help her deactivate her account. The first time them say na bipolar. Now it’s gone beyond that. God abeg ooo. Details later”.

     

    The actress was born and bred in the capital city of Ebonyi State, known as Abakaliki.

     

    She was born on 1 May 1993.

     

    Chacha Eke grew up in a middle-class family that later relocated to Enugu state and subsequently Asaba, the Delta state capital.

     

    Her father, Prof. John Eke, is a renowned politician, lecturer, and former Commissioner of Education in Ebonyi State chosen by the then Governor David Nweze Umahi.

     

    She has a sister whose name is Peace Eke.

     

    The actress’s educational background started when she attended the Esut Nursery and primary school situated in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.

     

    She completed her junior and secondary school education at a missionary school known as Our Lord Shepard International School located in Enugu, Southeast Nigeria.

     

    After obtaining her mandatory West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate and the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), she was admitted into Ebonyi State University (EBSU).

     

    She successfully graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

     

    Chacha Eke started acting as a teenager. She worked in local events and at the same time engaged in her studies.

     

    The actress got her first official role in a movie after successfully auditioning at a talent hunt hosted in her home town Abakaliki.

     

    Subsequently, she attended other talents show and was selected to act in her first movie in 2009.

     

    In 2012, Chacha Eke acted in a popular TV drama titled, The End Is Near, which gained her prominence in the heart of fans and the movie industry.

    Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama has said Chacha Eke’s recently diagnosed bipolar disorder is a result of years of abuse in her marriage.

    The movie star made this known via her Instagram page on Thursday, October 8, 2020, while reacting to the video Eke released about her bipolar disorder.

    “This is very Typical, Years of Abuse will make you think you are crazy…In our culture, there’s almost no reason to leave your marriage except You die‼…Most families are so Unsupportive,” she wrote.

    “@chachaekefaani……………….. You removed the Crying out video but amazingly, this is still there on your wall??? This is an indirect apology for you Crying Out???? Women who are/have experienced domestic violence/abuse are at a higher risk of experiencing a range of Mental Health Conditions, PTSD/Depression/Thought of suicide.”

    “I don’t agree with this bipolar talk, I am not afraid to speak out and there’s more to this but all I can beg @chachaekefaani is Remember your children need You….be Alive and sane for them…….No be today Abusers dey call victims mad…Stay strong cause you look mentally & physically exhausted ????? Sending You love and Light Sis….???.”

    Inyama’s remarks are coming barely 24 hours after Eke released a video via Instagram claiming that her husband never assaulted her rather she was suffering from bipolar disorder.

    Chacha Eke debunks domestic violence claims, says :’I am bipolar’

    Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke has debunked the claims that her marriage collapsed as a result of domestic violence.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Eke had announced that her marriage to Austin Faani was over.

    In a video shared via her Instagram page late Wednesday, October 7, 2020, the movie star revealed that she is bipolar.

    ”Five days ago I made a video saying that my marriage to Austin Faani is over and that video came with a lot of backlash from people with many insinuating that it is a clear case of domestic violence,” she said.

    “It is not. Austin has never laid his hands on me. He has never even raised his voice at me and God in heaven knows that’s the truth.”

    Several psychiatrists have come to assess me mentally and I have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. Bipolar is real. I cannot tell you all how I have been feeling in these tiny videos I have been making, but I will however show you in motion pictures soon.”

    Eke’s statement is coming days after she released a video online where she astonishingly ended her 7-year-old marriage to Faani.

    Nollywood actress Chacha Eke has said that her marriage of 7-years to her husband, Austin Faani has hit the rocks

    Eke who made the announcement in a video now deleted via her Instagram account, didn’t give many details about what led to her marriage hitting the rocks.

    The mother of three also said she was leaving the union while she’s still alive adding that she will give full details of what led to the breakup later.

    “Some people say I am crazy but I am not and I am doing this video to let the whole world know that I am done with the marriage.

    “I don’t have a lot to prove that I am done with him but am done, am leaving with my life.

     

    “I can’t say a lot now but you will hear my story,” she said.

    Eke is the daughter of Ebonyi State Commissioner for Education, Professor John Eke.She married Austin Faani Ikechukwu, a movie director in 2013, and they’re now blessed with three children (two girls and a boy) which are Kamara Faani, Kaira Faani and Chiemerie Faani.
