    Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala mocks Chelsea on Twitter

    Super Falcons striker,  Asisat Oshoala has mocked Chelsea players and fans following their disappointing 2-1 loss to Fulham in the Premier League on Thursday night.

    It’s not been rosy for the Stamford Bridge side in recent times after losing its last three games and could only manage just one win in the last ten games.

    Chelsea are presently locked on the 10th position on the log and risk missing out of continental competitions for next season.

    Willian scored the opener for Fulham in the 25th minute before Koulibaly restored parity for Chelsea in the 47th minute. Carlos Vinicius netted the winner for the hosts in the 73rd minute as Chelsea suffered another loss.

    After the game, Oshoala expressed happiness on Twitter to see Chelsea losing the game and took jibes at all their fans.

    Her Tweet reads ”Normally Chelsea fans no deserve happiness and they know it, no peace for the wicked.” Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently occupying 10th position on the Premier League table with 25 points after 18 games.

    Chelsea manager, Graham Potter has revealed that his task to tinker the Stamford Bridge side is the hardest job in world football.

    Chelsea are currently placed 10th on the English Premier League standing and have a date away with Fulham on Thursday night.

    The Stamford Bridge side has only won just one game in their last ten,  in all competitions, losing six in the process.

    Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel in September 2022, with Marina Granovskaia, Petr Cech, Bruce Buck, Guy Laurence and Scott McLachlan all leaving Stamford Bridge too.

    “I understood that was going to be really difficult. I just thought from a leadership perspective, it is fascinating, challenging and stimulating and ridiculously hard.

    “I think this is probably the hardest job in football because of that leadership change and because of the expectations and because of where people see Chelsea. And obviously I didn’t think we would lose 10 first-team players [to injury] as well,” Potter said.

    Italy, Chelsea legend, Gianluca Vialli is dead

    Chelsea and Italy legend, Gianluca Vialli is dead.

    The Italian soccer legend died at the age of 58 after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

    Vialli was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer many years ago.

    While, playing for Chelsea, Vialli scored 40 goals in 88 appearances for the Stamford Bridge side between 1996 and 1999.

    He won three major trophies when he was the manager of Chelsea.

    Vialli won 59 caps for Italy and after he was initially given the all-clear on his health in 2020, he worked with Roberto Mancini’s staff in the Italian national team, who won the European Championships in England the following summer.

    He stepped down from the role in December when he returned to the Royal Marsden hospital to undergo further treatment on cancer, which he called “an unwanted guest”.

    Vialli is survived by his wife, Cathryne White Cooper, and their two daughters, Olivia and Sofia.

    EPL: Chelsea coach, Potter gives injury update on Sterling, Pulisic

    Following the injuries to Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic in the English Premier League game versus Manchester City on Thursday night, Chelsea coach Graham Potter has provided an injury update on both players.

    Riyad Mahrez scored in the 63rd minute to secure an away win for the Citizens at Stamford Bridge.

    Sterling was substituted after just five minutes and could be seen holding his hamstring following a collision with Man City defender, John Stones during the encounter on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

    Pulisic, on the other hand, was also forced off after a crunching tackle from Stones on 22 minutes.

    Speaking to beIN SPORTS after Chelsea’s defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side, Potter said: “Raheem felt the back of his leg when he did a backheel, a strange action, a strange sensation, so fingers crossed.

    The Englishman then spoke to BBC Match of the Day and added: “It is too early to say with injuries.

    “Raheem felt it within the first minute of the game. And then with Christian [Pulisic] we are hoping it’s not too serious.”

    The result meant that Manchester City retains their second position on the log and narrows the gap between it and league leaders Arsenal to just five points.

    EPL: Chelsea FC snaps up Fofana, to join club in January

    Molde of Norway Ivorian forward, David Datro Fofana has been snapped up by Chelsea football club in the English Premier League.

    The Premier League side announced the transfer on Wednesday.

    Recall that Chelsea are currently experiencing a shortage of forwards after the exit of Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku and others.

    Graham Potter has now added Datro Fofana to bolster his options offensively.

    Armando Broja is a long-term absentee after being stretchered off during a friendly match against Aston Villa in Abu Dhabi.

    Fofana will join the club on January 1 for a reported fee of £10.93m.

    The 20-year-old made his debut for Ivory Coast in a 4-0 friendly win against Burundi in November.

    He has contributed 15 goals and five assists in 24 matches for Molde. He also scored four goals in 10 appearances in the Europa League conference qualifiers and main tournament this campaign.

    Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, has said that the club is not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo after his contract was terminated at Manchester United few days ago.

    The Blues were heavily linked with the 37-year-old back in the summer when he initially wanted to leave Manchester United.

    Ronaldo is now free like a bird to join any club interested in signing him from the January transfer window.

    According to Ronaldo, the World Cup is his priority at the moment where he’s representing and focusing on how to win games for Portugal.

    Boehly has the finances to fund a move for Ronaldo, however the UK Sun reports that he will not.

    A source said: “Chelsea have gone cold on him, but if Todd Boehly decided to change his mind he would take some stopping.”

    Boehly regarded Ronaldo as a marquee signing in his first transfer window, but the-then manager Thomas Tuchel was not keen on Ronaldo.

    Although Graham Potter has since replaced Tuchel, there have been no signs of the Blues reigniting their interest.

    Sources in the football world have linked Ronaldo to a number of clubsides including, Newcastle, Napoli, Real Madrid and many others.

    Ronaldo will speak on his destination after the World Cup  currently holding in Qatar.

    Luiz Jorginho’s dying minute goal wasn’t enough to secure three points  for Chelsea Football Club as Manchester United rallied back courtesy of new boy Casemiro who scored for Man United in the loss time of the encounter to share the spoils.

    Stuart Attwell wasted no time before pointing to  the spot as Armando Broja goes down inside the box under pressure from Scott McTominay in the 83rd minute.

    Jorginho was made a long time to wait to take the spot kick but sends David de Gea the wrong way and Stamford Bridge erupts.

    Man united exhibited a never give up spirit despite conceding a penalty goal late in the match when Anthony Elanga fizzes a dangerous ball across the face of goal as Manchester United mount pressure on the home side.

    Chelsea were so close to three points but Casemiro snatches a point for Manchester United right at the death to ensure that they share the spoils.

    Real reasons I prefer Kepa to Mendy – Chelsea coach, Potter

    New Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has explained why he prefers to start Kepa Arrizabalaga to the Senegalese, Edouard Mendy.

    Mendy has been relegated to the bench at Chelsea since the arrival of Potter to the club.

    The gaffer explained that form and consistency  determines who starts between Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga for Chelsea.

    Potter added that Kepa is the better of the two at the moment, saying he will continue to start him until he gets a conviction to do otherwise.

    Recall that Kepa had initially lost his position to the Senegal international.

    However, Mendy got injured several matches into the 2022/2023 season and Kepa then got his chance.

    “Kepa has done really well. He has been supported fantastically by [Mendy] and [Marcus Bettinelli]. They provide good competition.

    “Kepa’s form is really pleasing for everybody, especially him, so it’s nice we have competition in that area. That’s how you get players better.”

    Chelsea surmounted an initially difficult defensive play from Wolves before Christian Pulisic scored minutes before half time  to give the Blues a breadth of fresh air.

    Kai Harvertz and Armando Broja added the second and third respectively to complete the rout over struggling  Wolverhampton wanderers.

    The result meant that Graham Potter’s side have now won three straight games, two in the English Premier League and one against AC Milan in the Serie A.

    Chelsea have jumped to fourth on the log with 16 points and a match in hand.

    Graham Potters’ boys will travel to Villa to slug it out with Aston Villa who are looking forward to steady their ship in the current season.

    Chelsea Football club were in blistering form as they put three goals past Serie A defending  Champions  AC Milan at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

    Fofana scored Chelsea’s first goal before Aubameyang made it two on the 58th minute.

    James made it three  on the 62nd minute to and earn himself a man of the match Award.

    The UEFA Technical team said: “He had a big influence on the game both on and off the ball. His power and aggression helped Chelsea to a clean sheet and he did well against the dangerous Rafael Leão,

    He was composed on the ball and ended with an assist and an excellent finish for his own goal.”

    The other EPL team in the UEFA Champions League, Manchester City defeated Copenhagen of Denmark by 5-0 .Rave of the Moment Erling Haaland scored a brace while J alvarez and Riyard Maherz, Davit completed the rout.

    In Italy, Juventus struck three goals at the Allianz Stadium for the second time in as many matches. This time it brought victory in Europe and the first three-points of the Champions League campaign. A double from Adrien Rabiot and another Dušan Vlahović strike were enough for Juve to overcome Maccabi Haifa in Matchday 3.
