Chelsea axe 9 stars from club’s website [See list]

Chelsea’s transfer overhaul continues to make headlines as Raheem Sterling is one of nine players missing from the club’s official first-team squad page.

Sterling, 30, is one player, alongside Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Alfie Gilchrist, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana, who failed to make the cut.

Chelsea are hoping to ship all of these players, with Broja and Ugochukwu set to join Premier League new boys Burnley.

Napoli, Fulham and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with a move for Sterling, although no official bid has been made.

Enzo Maresca’s side play pre-season friendly matches against Leverkusen and AC Milan at home before starting their 2025-26 season with a visit from Crystal Palace on August 17th.

Nicolas Jackson breaks silence on Chelsea future

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has spoken out amid growing speculation over his future, addressing rumours of a potential exit and reported interest from Man United.

Jackson, 24, has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Several reports have linked him with a move away from the Club World Cup winners, with Man United understood to be a potential destination.

The striker doesn’t seem too bothered about the added competition at the club, however, instead committing himself to helping his teammates.

“Competition? I have no competition. We’re all here to help the club. Everyone has their role to play. I’m on a mission. It’s up to the coach to make his choices. I focus solely on my work,” Jackson told Dsports.

“I’m a Chelsea player. The future belongs to God. If there are any changes, you’ll know. For now, I’m focused on my preparation.”

Transfer: Joao Felix leaves Stamford Bridge

Joao Felix has left Chelsea on a permanent transfer to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr after much transfer speculation.

Felix will link up with Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo and former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane at Al Nassr as the side aim for the title once more which has eluded them since the Portuguese international’s arrival.

Felix, who has joined Al-Nassr from Chelsea on a two-year contract in a deal worth up to £43.7m, remains the third most expensive transfer ever after costing Atletico Madrid £113m from Benfica at the age of 19 in 2019.

He had been in talks with Benfica over a return to Portugal but Chelsea landed an agreement with Al Nassr and now follows in the footsteps of Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, and Angelo Gabriel who have made the move from Stamford Bridge to the Saudi League.

Football.London reports that now the Felix move is done, Chelsea are closing in on a deal for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, who will essentially replace Felix as a backup to Cole Palmer. A bid for Simons could come in the next few days from the Blues who have been relentless in the transfer market so far this summer as they construct a side worthy of the Premier League title.

Chelsea reject approach from Man City for Cole Palmer

Chelsea have reportedly turned down a massive €170 Million from rivals Man City for the services of star player Cole Palmer, demanding £250 Million.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea wasted no time in rejecting Man City’s offer for the 23-year-old and have no intention of letting him go any time soon.

The report adds that the West London club sent back a counter-offer of £250 Million, which would make Palmer the most expensive player in the sport’s history.

Palmer has made no indication that he is interested in leaving Chelsea having grown into one of the best players in the Premier League during his short time at Stamford Bridge.

Now an established England international, Palmer played a key role as Chelsea won both the Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in his 52 games.

Sterling emerges as shock target for EPL rivals

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling is reportedly a shock target for West London rivals Fulham as he looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 30-year-old has been told he has no future within Enzo Maresca’s squad having spent last season on loan at Arsenal.

Sterling struggled to establish himself in North London, scoring just one goal and providing five assists in his 28 games across all competitions.

According to the Telegraph, Fulham could be set to offer him a lifeline and an opportunity to revive his career after disappointing spells in London so far.

Marco Silva is understood to be pushing the club to bolster their attacking line-up and a player with Sterling’s experience would certainly be a major coup.

He may not have been at his best over the past few seasons but the winger has won four Premier Leagues, among other trophies, throughout his stellar career.

Palmer subsequently won the Player of the Tournament award, along with the Man of the Match, receiving the trophy from US President Donald Trump.

He has now revealed exactly what Trump said to him during Chelsea’s trophy celebrations along with his response.

Transfer: Man Utd want Jackson-Garnacho swap deal

Man United are reportedly hoping to swap wantaway winger Alejandro Garnacho for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson this summer.

Garnacho, 21, has made it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer after a high-profile falling out with manager Ruben Amorim.

The winger has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, with the West London club approaching Man United in January but ultimately being rejected.

Now, according to iNews, United would be willing to send Garnacho to Stamford Bridge, but only if they get Jackson, 24, in return.

Jackson has found himself in a tricky situation at Chelsea following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer.

Chelsea are understood to be willing to sell Jackson having previously deemed him “untouchable”, with AC Milan also reportedly interested.

  • Club World Cup: Chelsea face fixture disruption in round of 16

Club World Cup: Chelsea face fixture disruption in round of 16

Chelsea are facing a logistical challenge at the Club World Cup after finishing second in their group, contrary to their original expectations.

The issue stems from an unplanned trip to Charlotte for their last-16 tie, instead of remaining in Miami as initially presumed for the knockout rounds.

A club source told Reuters that all travel, hotel, and training plans were made on the belief Chelsea would win Group D and stay in Miami.

However, a 3-1 defeat by Brazil’s Flamengo, followed by a 3-0 win over Esperance Tunis in Philadelphia, left them second in the group.

Chelsea must now face Benfica on Saturday at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, disrupting their carefully laid-out logistical arrangements.

This detour forces last-minute changes, although the club plans to return to Miami after the game, adding more travel to an already tight schedule.

Should Enzo Maresca’s men reach the quarter-finals, they’ll head back to Philadelphia to meet the winner between Palmeiras and Botafogo in an all-Brazilian encounter.

“That is a question I have answered quite a bit recently, yeah, it is something that we are looking into in the future. It is a conservation I want to have; we will see how that goes” Adarabioyo said.

Recall that Adarabioyo gave Chelsea the lead with a powerful header three minutes into the five minutes stoppage time in the first half to lead Chelsea into a commanding 3-0 and advanced into the knockout stages of the competition.
