Cinemas gross N7bn in 2023, Funke Akindele’s film contributes over 14%
Nigerian cinemas grossed more than 7.2 billion naira in 2023 from over 2.6 million admissions, with Nollywood averaging a 39 per cent market share, according to a new report. The earnings are over 416 million naira more than in 2022 with a seven per cent year-on-year increase in market share.

Gov Sanwo-Olu announces resumption of cinemas, spas, gyms
