    Comedian Bovi shares vital secret to stay married

    Veteran Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has shared some vital secrets he employs to stay married.

    In a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams, the stand-up comedian, actor, and writer revealed how he doesn’t take himself seriously, adding that this doesn’t mean he doesn’t get pushed or worried, as he practices doing things one day at a time. 

    The award-winning comedian also emphasizes the role of luck in his marriage, stating that he believes most marriages are a result of luck before any planning comes into play. 

    The comedian stressed that he isn’t the type of person who will stay in a place that isn’t conducive, which is why he said he is lucky when it comes to marriage.

    He said, “One day at a time, and don’t take yourself too seriously. I am lucky when it comes to marriage. I think most marriages have to do with luck before any form of planning comes into play.

    “So, I think I am lucky. I have learned not to take things too personally, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get pushed or worried.

    “There is no perfect marriage but perfection comes from loving the imperfection. I am not the type of person who will stay in a place that isn’t conducive, so that’s why I said I am lucky to be where I am, but, for many years, I was doing this one thing at a time, and I am a giver by nature.

    “I am lucky to have her and her wanting to have me, and wanting to have each other and make it work.”

    Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Makun, aka AY, revealed that some senior colleagues in the comedy industry told him to slow down on  reconciling with his longtime industry rival, Basketmouth

    In a recent interview with Teju Babyface, AY disclosed he was told ‘friendship is not by force’.

    AY said, “The bros [senior colleagues in the comedy industry] knew [about my beef with Basketmouth] and at some point in time, they had to ask me to slow down. They were like: ‘You’re doing too much. You are putting in too much to make this thing work. Friendship is not by force.’

    “I was believing that ‘No, this can work’. Even in my last stand-up comedy, I had to go on stage and I did another routine ‘My guy. How’s my guy? This is my guy. If you see this guy, tell him he’s my guy.’ And the following morning, everywhere exploded again. ‘We are not friends. We are not that. We are not this.’

    “So, for me now, I’m not pushing anything anymore. As I’m here now as AY, if I have to go to my grave without sitting with any of these guys to say ‘hello, ‘hi,’ I will be happy.”

    Comedian Sabinus reveals the person behind his success in Skit Making

    Nigerian Skit producer and comedian, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, unveiled the person who inspires him in his comedy career.

    Sabinus revealed that his fiancée, Ciana inspired his career breakthrough.

    The comedian made this known while featuring on a question-and-answer session with his fan on his Instagram page.

    A curious fan had asked who inspired him to move from his base in Port Harcourt to Lagos for greener pastures.

    “Who gave you the idea of going to Lagos to hustle and what year,” the fan asked.

    Sabinus responded that his fiancée, Ciana, had given him the idea.

    “My baby boo @ciana_chasman,” he said.

    Sabinus recently revealed his net worth on social media.

    The Skit maker in a question-and-answer session on his Instagram page disclosed that his net worth is estimated to be worth N600 million.

    AY, wife gatecrashed my wedding – Basketmouth

    The 17- year-old rift between Comedians Ayodele Makun aka AY  and Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth  is far from over.

    In an interview on Naija FM, Basketmouth explained why AY was refused entry to his wedding venue.

    According to Basketmouth, he never extended a wedding invite to Ay nor his wife, saying they must have gatecrashed the venue.

    Recall that AY had in an interview with Jude Chuwo noted that his wife name was on the entry list but his own name was missing, claiming that they both turned back to go back home.

    Continuing, AY said that his wife refused to enter the venue and leave him behind and she suggested that they both go back home.

    However, in a counter reaction, Basketmouth revealed that he didn’t even know who invited AY’s wife, claiming he wasn’t aware of her invitation.

    Both comedians have been at loggerheads over an issue that dated back to 17 years ago.

    Popular Comedian, Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth, has reacted to claims by fellow comedian AY that 30,000 caused their 17-year-old rift.

    TheNewsGuru.con reports that  AY had in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, claimed that they started to keep malice over an assignment that went bad.

    AY said “In 2006, Basketmouth usually had multiple wedding gigs on Saturdays’. So what he used to do at that point in time was to attend one, and at a point, leave the venue to catch up in the other venue.

    Continuing, he said “Now, one of the gigs that I got his endorsement to stand in at that time was N30,000 and 30,000 was everything to me at that time. “Two weeks later, I haven’t seen 30k. and I was starving. I decided to ask for 30K, and he said this person hasn’t paid. It was very funny to discover that the full payment was made before the event.”

    ”One day, I met Basket in the club with a glass of drink, and I said to him, How far, my guy? This thing that happened in 2006 guy drop am. And my dear colleague looked at me eyeball to eyeball and said, I’m a beast. I don’t forgive.”

    However, recently during his recent show ,when asked to comment on AY’s claims that 30,000 caused their rift, Basketnouth noted that he wouldn’t dignify him with a response.

    Basketmouth said, “To be honest, I don’t want that guy to ever hear from me.”

    Nollywood actor and comedian, Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has given clarifications of his beef with comedian colleague Bright Okpocha famously known as Basketmouth.

    AY noted that he has avoided Basketmouth because the latter suffers from complex issues.

    Makun made this revelation in a Ask Me Anything session he recently organized on his verified Instagram page, AY claimed that he didn’t have issues with Basketmouth but claim that Basketmouth have “uncontrollable superiority complex.”

    The AY live host noted that he had to avoid Basketmouth’s “incessant childishness”, as such became necessary for his own sanity.

    A fan had asked, “@aycomedian, do you really have any issues with Basketmouth?”

    To which AY replied, “I don’t have issues with him. But people having unnecessary issues with you is the price you sometimes pay for being progressive.

    “He has been battling with his uncontrollable Superiority complex for the longest. So avoiding his incessant childishness only became necessary for my own sanity.”

    Comedian Bovi laments decline of stand-up comedy in Nigeria

     

    Stand up comedy in the country has gotten worse, Popular stand-up comedian, Abovi Ugboma, aka Bovi, has revealed.

    Bovi made this revelation on the question and answer session tagged Ask me anything’ on Instagram.

    One of Bovi’s fans had asked him to give his honest opinion on if stand up comedy has improved or not to which he replied it has gotten worse than it used to be.

    He, however, went further to reveal that stand-up comedy in Nigeria could become better if people told “jokes in proper comedy clubs.”

    Meanwhile Bovi also revealed that he has been banned from entering the United States of America because he had a clash with an American visa issuing officer.

    A fan of the comedian had asked him if he could visit Massachusetts to crack them up with laughter. In a terse response, the comic star said, “I’m banned in the U.S.A.”

    Asked why he was banned from entering the US, the popular comedian responded saying, “Ill luck! Met a charity visa issuing officer! Egos clashed! I got labelled

    The comedian described the incident as ill-luck saying he got a message after the clash that he’s been banned from entering America for now.

    BREAKING: Popular comic actor, Dejo Tunfulu is dead

    Popular Nigerian actor and comedian Kunle Adetokunbo, popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu is dead.

    His colleague Kunle Afod broke the news on his instagram page Friday morning.

    Kunle Afod wrote: You still posted this picture recently only for me to hear about your death today. This is so sad,Pressy Tunfulu.Daddy Junior, still cant believe this”

    The cause of his death is still unknown as at the time of filing this report.

    Kunle Adetokunbo popularly known as “Dejo Tunfulu” is a prominent Yoruba comic actor, writer, and producer.

    He was born on 31st of May, 1972 in Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos State and hails from Ikija area of Abeokuta in Ogun State. He is known for “Hally The Drummer” (2016) and “Jide Jendo” (2020).

    The actor was aged 49.

    Comedian Mr Macaroni opens up on plans for marriage

    Famous Skit maker, comedian and actor Debo Adebayo also known as Mr Macaroni has opened up on marraige.

    The comedian has revealed that he has no plan of getting married anytime soon, saying marraige really scares him.

    Macaroni made this revealation during a question and answer session from his fans on his Twitter page.

    When asked if he’s considering marriage anytime soon, Mr. Macaroni said ‘no’.

    According to him, marriage scares him and he has not been in a relationship since 2012.

    His tweet read : “No! Marriage scares me. I haven’t been in a relationship since my time in Houdegbe North American University, Benin Republic (HNAUB). That’s like 2011-2012.”

    Macaroni also disclosed that he attended four universities: Leads City, Houdegbe North American University and Babcock before he finally graduated from Redeemers University.

    His comedy idea sees him wearing a rich Agbada, tending to realize beautifully endowed ladies with the aid of maybe transferring a big amount of money to them or doing something of the sort.

    Christened Debo Adedayo but famously known as Mr. Macaroni is a Nigerian comedian, actor, and all-around entertainer.

    He’s popularly known with the trending slogan “You’re Doing Well; Ooin” and he grew up in Lagos State, Nigeria.

    Baba Suwe taught me comedy – British Actor, Damson Idris

    British actor, Damson Idris has restated that late Veteran Nigerian actor, Baba Suwe was the first man who taught him comedy.

    Damson said this on his Twitter page while paying tribute to the late Nigerian comic legend.

    His tweet read: “Rest in Peace Baba Suwe. A Nigerian icon and the man who first taught me about comedy. God bless.”

    Born Babatunde Omidina, Baba Suwe became popular after he featured in Iru Esin, produced by Olaiya Igwe in 1997. He also featured in and produced several Nigerian movies such as Baba Jaiye Jaiye, a movie that featured Funke Akindele and Femi Adebayo.

    In 2011, he was accused of cocaine trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, an allegation that was described as false and defamatory by the ruling of the Lagos State High Court.

    The actor’s health battle was made public in 2019 when he was said to be battling an undisclosed sickness.

    Adesola Omidina, a son of the late veteran Nigerian comic actor, Baba Suwe, has also announced the burial arrangements of his father who died on Monday.

    The young man who is also an actor, took to his Instagram page to announce that his father’s interment would hold on Thursday, November 25, 2021.
