    Ola Aina given contract extension at Nottingham Forest

    Nottingham Forest has activated the one-year extension in Ola Aina’s contract.

    Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina has been given a one year contract at Notingham Forest football club.

    The Premier League side, activated the one year clause on Aina’s contract.

    Recall that the Nigeria international joined the Tricky Trees on a free transfer last summer.

    Aina made 22 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season.

    The 22-year-old has put up impressive performance for the English Club since joining them last season.

    Aina said: “I’ve been really happy with my time spent here at Forest and the fans have been great.

    “I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”

    Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson added: “Since Ola joined the club last summer he has impressed all of us with his performances both on the pitch and also with the positive personality that he brings to the group every day.

    “We are delighted that he will move forward with us”

    Mbappe makes U-turn, set to sign contract extension at PSG

    Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward,  Kylian Mbappe has agreed to sign a new contract, Foot Mercato.

    Recall that Mbappe was reinstated into the first-team squad of PSG over the weekend.

    The French striker was initially banished to PSG reserve team after back-and-forth arguments on signing a new contract with the French champions.

    In a meeting on Sunday, club president Nasser Al Khelaifi reportedly told the players that “Kylian is invested in the club” and is now at the disposal of manager Luis Enrique.

    However, reports show that Mbappe has now entered into talks over a contract renewal with PSG.

    Mbappe could be signing a one-year contract extension, meaning Mbappe would be tied down until 2025 with Les Parisiens.

    Both parties may also reach a private agreement on a departure clause. The free-scoring forward would leave the French capital next summer, presumably for Real Madrid, while handing PSG a hefty transfer fee.

    Prolific Immobile extends Lazio contract to 2025

    Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile has signed a contract extension that will keep the striker at Lazio until 2025, the club said on Monday.

    The 30-year-old Italy international scored a record-equaling 36 goals last season, matching Gonzalo Higuain’s haul for Napoli in 2015-16, as Lazio finished fourth in the standings to qualify for the Champions League

    Immobile also ended the season five goals clear of the next leading scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus.

    “Ciro Immobile has renewed his contract until 2025,” the club said on Twitter.

    The Serie A season starts on Sept. 19. The last season was interrupted between March and June due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
