Kylian Mbappe has ruled out signing a new deal with PSG.

And he as told Mauricio Pochettino that he has no desire to extend his contract.

Marca says the forward has informed his manager Pochettino that he does not want to extend his contract with the club, though Mbappe will not force a move away from PSG.

Paul Pogba has rejected a new contract offer from Manchester United.

The Mirror says Pogba’s unwillingness to sign a new deal has forced United to look at selling their club record £89million signing – or risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Paris St Germain are ready to pay £45m for Pogba, who has one year left on his current United contract, but has turned down the offer of a £350,000-a-week deal.

United wanted to tie Pogba, 28, down to a new long-term deal and were prepared to offer him a huge pay hike on his existing £250,000-a-week deal.

But the France World Cup winner and his agent, Mino Raiola, have snubbed the offer in a bid to force through the move to PSG and a new challenge elsewhere.

“Before tying Messi down to a new deal, we need to put in a lot of ground work and it’s going to be tough.

“The good news is that he hasn’t signed for any other club, and this proves that he genuinely wants to stay at Barça.”

  • BBNaija’s star, Vee trade words on social media with clothing brand over botched deal

BBNaija’s star, Vee trade words on social media with clothing brand over botched deal

Vee, Ex-housemate of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), and Zeena & Zara Limited, a clothing brand, have engaged in a heated war of words on Instagram over a contract fallout

The rift started on Tuesday after the reality TV star took to her Instastories to dissociate herself from the brand.

“I am no longer associated with Zeena and Zara brand, regard every image by me shared by them as false advertising and only do business with them at your prerogative,” she wrote.

In a follow-up post, Vee said Happiness Adebayo, the company’s chief executive officer (CEO), had earlier reached out to her about the deal expected to last for six months.

She claimed that a few days after the contract began, the company’s CEO, however, described her as “someone difficult to work with,” and thereafter demanded a refund.

The reality star said that her team had originally paid back two out of the initial 2.5 million naira — part payment made by the company — but an extra N500,000 was subtracted by her management.

Vee also said that both parties were still in the contract termination process when the company started sending out the information to media outlets for publication.

The reality TV star threatened legal action against the company, noting that her lawyer has already sent an email to them.

But reacting in a series of posts, the company slammed the reality TV star cum singer, while accusing her of not keeping to her end of the deal.

The company asked Vee to pay the balance of N1.9 million debt she is allegedly owing before considering termination of the contract.

“Apparently Vee paid 2million out of the 2.5m she was given for the deal she refused to honor. However, the shoot including the items she took cost about 1.4million which she insisted on not paying back,” it wrote in one of the posts.

“I mean, how can you sign a contract then refused to comply by posting the shoot done after which you decided to delete the picture of the contract signing. I believe we all understand what that means so since you couldn’t fulfill your end of the bargain, we decided to send her manager a mail to terminate the contract after 48 hours without response.

“Now she refused to pay for the loss incurred for the shoot, not forgetting that she made away with items worth 400k including the 500k balance from the ambassadorial deal payment, all tuning to about a total of 1.9million.

“Since she is not willing to pay for the loss incurred and the outstanding, the brand decided to use the content from the shoot done so as to minimize the loss incurred.

“Veeiye, please note that since you have refused to complete the outstanding, the Zeena & Zara brand will use all the content done on the shoot. This was discussed but you insisted on not paying, in case you change your mind, kindly pay up then the content will be taken down from our page. Thank you.”

La Liga: Why Barca is not renewing Messi’s contract

Barcelona’s debt problem is preventing the renewal of Lionel Messi’s contract.

Expansion quotes the financial adviser Ramón Álvarez de Mon, who shared his insight into the hurdles facing Barça as they try and push Messi’s new deal through.

“Barça must generate €400 million in capital gains and savings on salaries,” the expert explained.

The cited media assured that La Liga could oppose any contract offered by Barça that is for two years as a player but paid over five (as if he was an ambassador), given it would be a way around the league’s financial controls and fair play.

Meanwhile, the tax office could also have something to say.

“If Messi is paid for two years as a player and from the third year as an ambassador in Miami, he would be earning for what he generated as a player at Barça, but he wouldn’t be a resident, so he wouldn’t be paying tax in Spain or he would be paying less than residents, which could lead to a fraud case,” added Álvarez de Mon.

He continued: “The club and Messi have previous in this sense (with Messi’s last tax case) and in the case of a potential sentence, he could end up in prison and the club in dissolution, which is the punishment for companies in this case.”

In addition, Expansion also point out that clubs that exceed their salary limit can only ‘sign’ for 25 percent of the amount saved. That’s to say, if Barça sell a player for 40 million euros, they can only spend 10 million.
