Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has made Nigerians gasp in surprise as he plays Rema’s hit song (Calm Down).

The Portuguese player, who recently moved to a Saudi club, Al-Nassr, decided to relax over a good Nigerian song.

He shared a video of his kids dancing and shaking their bodies to the beats of the Afrobeats singer’s ‘Calm Down’ on his Insta story.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Ronaldo has five children. He first became a father to a son, who was born on 17 June 2010 in the United States.[571] He has full custody of the child and has not publicly revealed the identity of the mother per an agreement with her. In January 2015, Ronaldo’s five-year relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk ended.

Ronaldo became a father to twins, born on 8 June 2017 in the United States via surrogacy. He is currently in a relationship with Argentine-born Spanish model Georgina Rodríguez, who gave birth to a daughter on 12 November 2017. The couple expected their second pair of twins in 2022. The male twin died during childbirth while the female twin survived.

Ronaldo’s father, José, died of an alcoholism-related liver condition at age 52 in September 2005 when Ronaldo was 20.

In January 2023, after the international footballer moved to Saudi Arabia with his family having been signed by Saudi Premier League side Al Nassr FC, the rulers of the Muslim-leaning Kingdom made him an exception to the rule that unmarried couples are not allowed to live together in Saudi Arabia.

Serie A: Osimhen breaks Ronaldo’s ‘high-flying’ record in Italy

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has broken Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-standing jump record after leaping to 2.58 meters to score a goal in Napoli’s 3-0 demolition of Spezia.

Osimhen broke Ronaldo’s record when he netted his first goal – Napoli’s second of the day – against the Little Eagles at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

The Nigeria international has scored great headers during his career, but the goal against Spezia was truly extraordinary and could go down as a contender for the greatest headed goal in football history.

After a goalless first half, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave Luciano Spalletti’s side the lead after converting from the penalty spot before Osimhen added the game’s second in the 68th minute with a remarkable effort.

Osimhen is Serie A’s highest goal scorer for the current season after netting 16 goals in 17 games for the League Leaders.

  • Al Nassr FC deny reports Ronaldo offered incentive to support World Cup bid

Al Nassr FC deny reports Ronaldo offered incentive to support World Cup bid

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr contract does not include any commitment to promote a 2030 World Cup bid, the Saudi Arabian club stated on Tuesday.

“Al Nassr FC would like to clarify that contrary to news reports, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr does not entail commitments to any World Cup bids,” a statement read.

“His main focus is on Al Nassr and to work with his team-mates to help the club achieve success.”

The Portugal forward joined Al Nassr on Dec. 30 after his departure from Manchester United FC, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract reportedly worth around €200 million ($215 million) per year.

Reports suggested Ronaldo’s agreement included an additional bonus to act as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s World Cup bid, with the Middle East aiming to host another tournament after Qatar 2022.

Al Nassr strongly denied claims Ronaldo had been offered a financial incentive to secure FIFA’s top tournament, with Spain, Ukraine and his home country Portugal among the others to make a joint bid to host.

Ronaldo is yet to make his debut for Al Nassr after missing Friday’s clash with Al Tai as he served the first part of a two-match ban from the English Football Association.

  • FA ban on Ronaldo for smashing Everton fan’s phone stops him from Al-Nassr clash today

FA ban on Ronaldo for smashing Everton fan’s phone stops him from Al-Nassr clash today

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, who was served a two-game ban for smashing an Everton fan’s phone from their hand, has been banned from making his hotly-anticipated Al-Nassr debut today.

Despite the two-game FA suspension, Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, who was released by Manchester United last month after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, arrived in Riyadh on Monday and was greeted by a large group of adoring fans.

The forward then underwent his medical on Tuesday ahead of his official unveiling, which took place at Al-Nassr’s home stadium, Mrsool Park, and he later joined his new team-mates in his first training session.

Al-Nassr were hoping to hand the Portuguese star his big debut tomorrow having sold-out all of their 28,000 seats for their clash with Al Ta’ee.

However, he has been told he was suspended due to the punishment dished out by the FA after he slammed an Everton supporter’s phone out of their hand.

Ronaldo received a two-game ban and was fined by the FA in November following the incident with the autistic fan at Goodison Park in April and did not feature for the Red Devils again.

The former Manchester United striker, who was walking down the tunnel, was cautioned by Merseyside Police after he shoved the young boy’s phone out of his hand after Everton had beaten United 1-0 at Goodison Park.

He later issued an apology via social media for his “outburst” and issued an invite for the supporter to be his guest for a game at Old Trafford “as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship”.

He wrote: “It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing.

“Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set an example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game.

“I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship.”

But the 14-year-old Jake, who has autism, declined the forward’s offer and refused to accept his apology.

Due to the break for the World Cup, Ronaldo was unable to serve his suspension before his explosive United exit and now that ban will carry on to his new club.

And that effectively bars Al-Nassr from playing their new talisman until they have completed two competitive matches that he is available for.

Article 12.1 of Fifa’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players says: “Any disciplinary sanction of up to four matches or up to three months that has been imposed on a player by the former association but not yet (entirely) served by the time of the transfer shall be enforced by the new association at which the player has been registered in order for the sanction to be served at domestic level.”

The FA clarified that he must serve his suspension even if he moved abroad in their written reasons when they imposed the ban days after his high-profile interview with Morgan.

They wrote: “We note the Player has participated in a recently published interview in which he has criticized MUFC. We know not what effect that may nor will have on his future with that club nor whether it will take disciplinary action in respect thereof. The suspension we have imposed must have an effect.

“In other words, it applies to MUFC’s first team competitive matches for which he is eligible for selection. Should he leave MUFC before it completes two first-team competitive matches the balance of the suspension will apply to any new club he should join.

After tomorrow’s match, Al-Nassr are not back in action until Saturday 14 January in a derby against Al-Shabab.

They then face Ettifaq at home on January 21 – which now looks set to be Ronaldo’s first match.

France and Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba has relived the attitude of former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo while they were both playing for Manchester united.

Recall that Ronaldo and Pogba shared the same dressing room last season after the French man’s  12 years stint outside Old Trafford.

Similarly, the Frenchman and the Portuguese have had two stints with the Red Devils and have represented Juventus during the course of their careers.

However,  the France international only shared the pitch with Ronaldo last season and has a lot to say about the former Real Madrid man’s attitude to the game.

“The discipline of Ronaldo was unbelievable – I’ve never seen this. The discipline is on another level,” Pogba told

“Someone that’s been there every single day and doesn’t stop – that’s Cristiano.

  • Arsenal cautioned against signing Cristiano Ronaldo in January

Arsenal cautioned against signing Cristiano Ronaldo in January

Arsenal legend, Nigel Winterburn, has warned his former side against signing one of the world’s best football players, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is currently without a club after his contract at Manchester United was terminated prematurely.

The veteran striker’s deal was ripped apart after he had an explosive interview with British journalist, Piers Morgan, in which he hit out at the club’s top brass.

According to Football.London, a section of Gunners fans have urged the club to make a January transfer move for Ronaldo as a cover for Gabriel Jesus, who is set to spend a couple of weeks on the sidelines with an injury.

Despite Ronaldo’s advanced age, some Arsenal supporters contend the Portuguese still has a lot to offer at the top level.

Winterburn warns Arsenal against Ronaldo However, former Arsenal star, Winterburn has cautioned the Premier League club against making a transfer move for Ronaldo.

The former left-back argued the Portugal international would find it difficult to fit into the Gunners’ playing system.

“A lot of people might say, ‘That’s great, let’s do it’. I wouldn’t be able to argue with that, but I think the way Arsenal press games, they press high, they’re full of energy, and Ronaldo is an unbelievable player, but I don’t think he has the legs to be able to do that anymore. I’m certain he doesn’t,” Winterburn told Metro UK.

Winterburn believes Arsenal would have to adapt their playing style to bring Ronaldo in, and he feels that would be a complete disaster.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Arsenal won their first trophy of the season, following their 2-1 epic win over AC Milan in Dubai.

The Gunners have been in flawless form since the start of the season, with the side losing just once so far this term.

Cristiano Ronaldo describes reports of him quitting Portugal camp as “outside noise”

Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reacted to speculations that he wanted to leave Portugal’s World Cup camp, describing it as “outside noise”.

He insisted that the squad is “too strong to be broken by outside forces.”

The former Man. United striker irked his manager, Fernando Santos after he appeared unhappy in their 2-1 loss to South Korea.

When he was dropped by his coach for their last-16 clash against Switzerland – which they won 6-1, he was said to have threatened to fly home.

But Portugal later hit out at the rumours, saying Ronaldo “builds up a unique track record every day at the service of the national team and the country, which must be respected and which attests to the unquestionable degree of commitment to the national team.”

The 37-year-old has broken his silence since the reports emerged, insisting Portugal was too ‘close’ and ‘brave’ to be affected by outside noise.

In a tweet, the forward wrote: ‘A group too close to be broken by outside forces. A nation too brave to let itself be frightened by any adversary.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards and four European Golden Shoes, the most by a European player. He has won 32 trophies in his career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, and the UEFA European Championship.

Ronaldo holds the records for most appearances (183), goals (140), and assists (42) in the Champions League, goals in the European Championship (14), international goals (118), and international appearances by a European (195).

He is one of the few players to have made over 1,100 professional career appearances and has scored over 800 official senior career goals for the club and country. He is the only male player to score in five World Cup tournaments.

Ronaldo began his senior career with Sporting CP, before signing with Manchester United in 2003, at age 18, winning the FA Cup in his first season. He would also go on to win three consecutive Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup; at age 23, he won his first Ballon d’Or.

The striker was the subject of the then-most expensive association football transfer when he signed for Real Madrid in 2009 in a transfer worth €94 million (£80 million), where he won 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey, and four Champions Leagues, and became the club’s all-time top goalscorer.

He won back-to-back Ballons d’Or in 2013 and 2014, and again in 2016 and 2017, and was runner-up three times behind Lionel Messi, his perceived career rival. In 2018, he signed for Juventus in a transfer worth an initial €100 million (£88 million), the most expensive transfer for an Italian club and for a player over 30 years old.

He won two Serie A titles, two Supercoppa Italiana trophies and a Coppa Italia, before returning to United in 2021. He left in 2022.

Ronaldo made his international debut for Portugal in 2003 at the age of 18 and has since earned over 190 caps, making him Portugal’s most-capped player. With more than 100 goals at the international level, he is also the nation’s all-time top goalscorer.

He has scored at 11 major tournaments; he scored his first international goal at Euro 2004, where he helped Portugal reach the final. The Portuguese striker assumed the captaincy of the national team in July 2008. In 2015, Ronaldo was named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation.

The following year, he led Portugal to their first major tournament title at Euro 2016, and received the Silver Boot as the second-highest goalscorer of the tournament. He also led them to victory in the inaugural UEFA Nations League in 2019, receiving the top scorer award in the finals, and later received the Golden Boot as top scorer of Euro 2020.

One of the world’s most marketable and famous athletes, Ronaldo was ranked the world’s highest-paid athlete by Forbes in 2016 and 2017 and the world’s most famous athlete by ESPN from 2016 to 2019. He is the first footballer and the third sportsman to earn US$1 billion in his career.
