Manchester City made it six wins and a maximum 18 points from six games after defeating visiting Nottingham Forest 2-0 courtesy of first half goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland.

Foden lashed on to a pass from Walker on the right side of the pitch to tuck in neatly City’s first goal in the 7th minute of the encounter to put the home side 1-0 up.

Seven minute after, precisely in the 14th minute, newly acquired Portuguese Midfielder, Nunez sent a cross from the right side of the pitch and prolific Striker, Haaland connected to the cross with a header for the Citizens second goal.

Haaland leads the scorers chart with eight goals from 6 games.

In the second half Rodri was sent off but Nottingham were still unable to open the scoring.

Rodri was given his marching orders by referee Anthony Taylor for pushing Morgan Gibbs-White to the ground a few moments after the Nottingham Forest midfielder had tackled him. Gibbs-White went to ground quite theatrically after being shoved in the throat.

Rodri’s dismissal means he’ll be suspended for Manchester City’s match against, Newcastle, Wolves and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Elsewhere, Newly promoted Luton Town came from behind against 10-man Wolves to get their first point of the campaign on the board courtesy of a Carlton Morris penalty.

Nigerian born, Chiedozie Ogbene thought he’d scored a late winner for Luton after turning the ball past Jose Sa but his celebrations are cut short by a raised offside flag.

Crystal Palace and Fulham ended it on a gaolless affair after all efforts to score in the match proved abortive for both sides.

Although, Palace had a penalty shout late in the game, referee Paul Tierney disagreed with the home side.

In the 55th minute, Nunez, who had just missed a sitter from Salah’s cross, flicked on Andy Robertson’s corner and the Egypt international blasted home from close range for Liverpool’s third of the afternoon.

Elsewhere at Selhurst park,  Odsonne Edouard scored twice as Crystal Palace beat Wolves to register their second win of the new campaign.

Ligue 1: Patrick Viera named new Strasbourg FC coach

Former France captain, Patrick Vieira, has been appointed as the new head coach of Strasbourg.

The former Crystal Palace gaffer put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 side.

Vieira has been out of job since he was dismissed at Crystal Palace towards the end of the last season

Liverpool boss Klopp is just a bully – Jordan

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has branded Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp a bully.

The German has been involved in various bust-ups with referees and other officials this season.

The latest came in their 4-3 win over Tottenham at the weekend, the with Reds coach berating referee Paul Tierney and his assistant all game.

“Jurgen Klopp is one of the best managers the Premier League has produced for some time,” he told talkSPORT.

“But he is a bully at times and I think some of the best managers are bullies. I think you would want your manager of your team to be a person who was capable of carrying his weight and pushing themselves around.

“(But) it was unnecessary and unacceptable his little antics running up to the fourth official. Ironically, karma intervened and he pulled a hamstring or whatever but what was more concerning was the allegations he made about the official.

“With all due respect to Klopp, he cannot make those observations he’s made about an official without being accountable for them.

“He’s effectively questioned the integrity of an official and suggested there is bias and that he is a man not professional enough to referee games. He needs to go the whole hog of what he said to him if he’s going to bring it up.”

The Gunners capitalised on Manchester City’s involvement in the FA Cup, and City will face Sheffield United in the semi-final at Wembley. Brighton also booked their spot in the final four on Sunday, where they’ll meet either Manchester United or Fulham.

And what next for Tottenham and Antonio Conte, after his extraordinary press conference following their Southampton debacle?

EPL: Casemiro could face disciplinary action for unruly act

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Casemiro strangled a Crystal palace player during a melee between players of both teams in the English Premier League encounter which Manchester United Won.

The midfielder was given a straight red card in the 2-1 win against Palace after grabbing Hughes by the jugular.

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa man, Gabriel Agbonlahor has told the FA to arrest and discipline Casemiro after the incident that saw the Brazilian sent off against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

According to Agbonhalor, the former Real Madrid man thought he was a super star wrestler and wanted to strangle Crystal Palace’s Will Hughes.

The melee began with a scuffle between Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp and United’s Antony and the 2022 summer signing got involved as a number of players shoved one another.

“Casemiro thought he was Brock Lesnar back in the UFC,” Agbonhalor told talkSPORT.

“The way he was strangling Will Hughes, he should be arrested for that. Kids are watching that later on, on Match of the Day. Seeing Casemiro strangling an opponent.

“This isn’t ice hockey in America where they have a scrap during the game. This is football, we don’t want to see that.

“So Casemiro needs to be disciplined by Manchester United,” he said.

Casemiro has been described by fans and pundits as one of the best players in the Red Devils squad this season since his £70 million move from Real Madrid.

The Brazilian was just returning from a one-match ban before the red card incident that will now keep him out of action for another three games.

Casemiro missed United’s defeat to Arsenal last weekend due to suspension. The 30-year-old picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in United’s draw with the same Crystal Palace team.

EPL: Why Manchester United drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace – Neville

Manchester United were already coasting home to victory when they conceded a last minute freekick which Michael Olise converted to equalize for Crystal Palace in the thrilling English Premier League encounter on Wednesday at Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has identified the factor responsible for Palace’s equalizer in the game.

According to Neville, Red Devils’ decision only to have three men in the wall when Michael Olise stepped up to take his free-kick in stoppage time was another factor responsible for the draw.

According to Neville, Man United’s wall was nowhere near ‘big enough’ to stop Olise’s stunning injury-time free-kick.

The former England international added in a follow-up tweet: “Put the taker off! A massive wall with big players in makes it more difficult for the taker! That wall lacked presence and made it look inviting!”

Recall that goals from Bruno Fernandes and Olise ensured both teams got a point each at Selhurst Park.

EPL: Chelsea bounce back, defeat Crystal Palace 1-0

After losing out in three consecutive games  in all competitions, Chelsea today claimed a crucial win in a Premier League London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Ukrainian super star and former Shaktar Donetsk forward watched from the stands as his new club, Chelsea grabbed an all-important win first time in as many games in the EPL.

The players and fans also poured  heartfelt tributes  to Gianluca Vialli in the club’s first home match since the Italian legend’s sad passing from cancer earlier this month

German international Kai Harvertz scored in the 64th minute and it proved to be the decider in the game.

Potter was already battling to save his job after three straight defeats and Chelsea’s worst top-flight run since 1996, making five changes from the derby loss at Fulham including a debut for £35m arrival Benoit Badiashile in defence. And that approach just about paid off, with Kai Havertz rising to net the only goal of the game four minutes after the hour mark.

Chelsea are still 10th on the table with 28 points from 19 EPL games.
