    Obi Cubana debunks collecting revenues for Anambra Govt

    Chairman of Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana has debunked collecting revenues for the Anambra State Government.

    Various audio and written messages had earlier surfaced on social media claiming that Obi Cubana had been contracted by the Anambra State Government to collect revenues for road traffic violations on its behalf.

    However, in a swift reaction, the popular socialite and businessman disclosed that neither himself nor his companies have businesses with the Anambra State Government.

    In a statement on Friday, Chief Iyiegbu stressed that he has never expressed interest in, bidded for, accepted or has any intention of bidding for or accepting any contract from the State Government to collect revenue or apprehend road traffic violators.

    The statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to various audio and written messages circulating on different social media platforms claiming that I, Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana) and the Cubana Group of Companies have been contracted by the Anambra State Government to collect revenues for road traffic violations on its behalf.

    “This story is false and fabricated by mischief makers.

    “I emphatically state that neither  I, Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana) nor the Cubana Group of Companies or any company I am interested in or related to, has ever, expressed interest in, bidded for, accepted or has any intention of bidding for or accepting any contract to collect revenue or apprehend road traffic violators from Anambra State Government or any government whatsoever.

    “We have no such interest and never will.

    “I urge all those spreading this malicious information to forthwith cease and desist from it as I may be compelled to take legal action against peddlers of this offensive publication”.

    Obi Cubana’s Manager arraigned in court for money laundering

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Lucky Uchechukwu Ndukwe, a Manager with Cubana Group owned by Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana in court on Wednesday.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ndukwe, popularly known as Cubana Prime Minister, was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC for an offence bordering on conspiracy to launder and alleged money laundering to the tune of $164,000.00.

    He was arraigned alongside one Precious Omonkhoa Ofure before Justice O. A. Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos.

    Ndukwe, also known as Cubana Prime Minister, and Ofure were arrested recently by operatives of the Commission, following credible intelligence received about their involvement in the fraudulent activity.

    Items recovered from them include the sum of $164,000.00 (one hundred and sixty-four thousand dollars), iPhone mobile devices and laptop computers.

    Nigerian businessman who chairs the Cubana Group, Obinna Iyiegbu, commonly known as Obi Cubana, has said his Odogwu Bitters is not transacted online.

     

    He posted on his Facebook on Friday, disassociating himself and the company from a registration form that surfaced online.

     

    The Odogwu Bitters boss, asserted that the form tagged “Customer Application/Registration Form” is fake.

     

    According to the “fake” form, Odogwu Bitters can be reached by P.M.B. 035 Victoria Island Lagos.

     

    “We do NOT transact Odogwu Bitters business online. Our office is at Plot 1263 off Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Phone number- 0916606900. Ignore ANY online transactions, they are not ours. The document below is fake!” Obi Cubana said.

    Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, on Saturday hailed his wife, Ebele, as his prayer warrior and confidant, while celebrating her and their last son, Kosi, on their birthdays.

    Sharing a picture of the celebrants on his Instagram page in the early hours of the day, Obi Cubana, who hails from Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, noted that the date, February 26, was very special in his family.

    Each February 26th is a very special day in our family! I love and cherish you so much

    In his birthday wish, Chairman of the Cubana Group (Obi Cubana) wrote, “Happy birthday my babies. @lush_eby my best friend, my love, my wifey, my life partner, my confidant, my prayer warrior; and my Kosi, my son, my last born, my fresh boy, my smart dude, my Kosi!

    “Each February 26th is a very special day in our family! I love and cherish you so much! May God continue to keep you both in good health, amen. Happy birthday!”

    Also taking to her Instagram page, Obi Cubana’s wife celebrated herself and her son.

    Sharing more pictures of herself and her son, the philanthropist wrote, “And the Lord kept us! My Koko and I. Team mummy. Celebrate with us.”

    Chairman of Cubana Group, Obi Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana has stated that this year 2022 he would be showcasing what he does for a living.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Obi Cubana made this known in a caption of a video of one of his businesses he shared via Instagram on Thursday.

    The nightclub celebrity shared the video of Ibiza, located in Abuja, he said was the first ever club he established in 2006.

    “The first EVER club we built; ibiza……Established 13th October 2006! 16yrs and still standing tall! If you never come here that year for abuja, you never start……this year! Showcasing what we do for a living,” Obi Cubana captioned the video.

    Recall that same Thursday when Obi Cubana shared video, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) held him for alleged link with drug lords.

    Talk of the town businessman and chairman of Cabana Group, Obinna Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana has vowed to start and complete his late mother’s church building in the village in 6 months.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the renowned entertainer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and show killer made this known via his Instagram profile on Sunday following the outing service of the late mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu.

    The burial of late Mrs Iyiegbu has been the talk of the town, sustaining social trends in the past few days, with the burial culminating in an outing service on Sunday.

    After the outing service, Obi Cubana taking a selfie video at the late mother’s church premises, said by December the church would have been completed.

    “Today, we have resolved that by December, we will finish this church. In memory of my mum, we are going to build this church in six (6) months.

    “These men here; I won’t disclose their names and their identities but God will use them to finish this church in record time,” Obi Cubana said.

    Mrs Iyiegbu, who passed away in December 2020, was buried on Friday, at Oba in Idemmili South local government area of Anambra State, where the outing service was held.

    Obi Cubana has also promised to give 300 youths from the community, where his mother was buried, N1 million naira each, that is N300 million, in memory of his late mum.
