    Tithe: Akpororo slams Daddy Freeze[VIDEO]

A lot has been said concerning tithing. While most people, especially Men of God, are of the view that people must continue to pay tithe few others like Daddy Freeze are of the view that tithing is no longer necessary since Jesus Christ did not demand it from his disciples.

Last night at the recently concluded Christian music gathering called ‘The Experience ‘, outspoken comedian, Akpororo condemned media personality, Daddy Freeze over advocating for the non-payment of tithe.

His timely joke elicited cheers from the mammoth crowd.

Akpororo said:“I need an annoying anointing for people like Daddy Freeze. How can he tell Christians not to pay tithe, something I have been paying for years and it is working for me.

Now he is advising people not to pay, telling them to check the bible, ‘na you write the bible’? It is working for me so leave my tithe alone”.

  • Timi Dakolo, Daddy Freeze react as Pastor Adeboye advises youths to seek pastors’ counsel before parents’

The duo of singer Timi Dakolo and controversial on-air personality, Daddy Freeze, have shared their views about the statement made by wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Foluke Adeboye.
The respected cleric urged youths to seek their pastor’s counsel first before their parents’ when they want to get married.
The pastor’s comment trended on Twitter yesterday after she spoke at the RCCG’s annual Youth Convention.
She advised the youths to seek the counsel of their pastors first before their parents when they find their life partner.
Daddy Freeze, who has always condemned Nigerian pastors and had been in a war of words with Pastor Enoch Adeboye over tithe related issues, said :“Are these people beginning to manifest early signs of senility?
“These teachings have no recourse to the Bible! Jesus himself said you shouldn’t give money meant for your parents to the temple, let alone this trash.
“I hope these people have access to the wealth and the airplane she and her husband are flying when they have finished helping them take all these decisions for them?”
Dakolo in his Instagram page, shared his opinion on the issue.

He wrote:”This is the context with which Mummy @pastorfoluadeboye said what she said, all this cut and paste people trying to stay relevant ,always picking quotes out of context to slander and belittle people. Only a person with a low self esteem will exhibit such attribute. There absolutely nothing wrong in what said, seeking spiritual counsel first doesn’t mean your parents are irrelevant. For marriage is a very important spiritual union. We all need spiritual guidance”.

Mid-year report: 5 controversial celebrities of 2018 so far

With actresses slamming one another on social media, it is safe to say 2018 has been one of the most controversial years of the Nigerian entertainment industry and pop culture landscape.

Over the last 6 months of 2018, there has been controversies and scandals that shocked both fans and celebrities alike. Let’s take a look at some of those moments.

    1. Wizkid and Tiwa Savage

Ever since they collaborated on ‘Ma lo’ there has been speculations about Wizkid and Tiwa Savage being in a hot romantic relationship. Ms Savage seem to have put her love troubles behind her, after her marriage to Teebillz hit the rocks.

Music pundits will not forget in a hurry how Wizkid gave Tiwa Savage a cute kiss on her chin. It all happened at Gidifest on Easter Friday March 30, 2018, where fun lovers came out to be entertained by the best of Nigerian musicians. The entertainers are obviously enjoying the attention they are getting from their alleged romance.

    2. Toyin Abraham

Earlier in June 2018, Toyin Abraham opened a can of worms when she alleged that Mercy Aigbe is responsible for the crash of her marriage. She also accused Aigbe of using her colleagues’ demise to shine on social media, asking her to act her age.

Amazingly hours after the incident, Abraham took to Instagram to insinuate that her comments were a publicity stunt for her new movie, “Ghost and the Tout.”

However some weeks back, the ‘Alakada’ actress took to her Instagram page to apologize to Mercy Aigbe over her outburst.

    3.Tonto Dikeh

These days if Tonto Dikeh isn’t battling her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill on social media, she is ‘typing’ in tongues. The popular actress is hardly in the news for the right reasons. Dikeh who recently celebrated her 33rd birthday in Abuja shared a picture of herself kissing Nigerian cross dresser, Bobrisky. The picture sparked several reactions on Instagram, with many questioning her christian beliefs.

    LINDA IKEJI

    4. Linda Ikeji

Nigerian social media influencer and blogger, Linda Ikeji was bashed on social media after announcing the news of her pregnancy. Ms Ikeji was slammed over previously preaching celibacy and getting pregnant out of wedlock.

Defending her stance, Linda took to her Twitter page saying her decision to get pregnant was because she felt it was the right time considering her age.

“I turned 36 and I knew there was nothing else I wanted more than to be a mum & wife and celibacy wasn’t going to get me that! I even did a video talking about how much I wanted these two things and God has finally answered my prayers. Beyond blessed,” she tweeted.

  • Why I don’t watch Daddy Freeze videos- Apostle Johnson Suleman

The Senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman has opened up on why he cannot watch Daddy Freeze’s controversial videos.

Suleman, speaking during a sermon in his church, said he had never watched Freeze’s videos because he wants to love him.

The Pastor noted that he would hate Freeze and have his relationship with God threatened if he watches his videos. He said Freeze is a brother to him adding that “the enemies of the kingdom are those against the church, brothers can disagree on doctrines and still be brothers”.

“I have never watched a video against Freeze because I still want to love him, when I meet him and not hate him.

“You do not conclude a story after hearing one version, we live in a generation where people take one part of a story and analyse it

“I was told freeze took up my video last Sunday and was analysing it. This is the first time I’m calling his name and there is no need to watch his video not because of arrogance but so that I would not have an impression bad about him.

“I want to see someone like him on the road and hug him and shake his hands.I would not watch his video because I still want to love him and if I do it would affect me and my relationship with God that’s why I don’t watch such video.

“Analysing me or what I said was very wrong because I have not watched him, Freeze has abused me severally but I thank him for calling me names, in the days of persecution they will call you names but when he goes through his own persecution I will stand by him.

  • Nigeria: 2019 Elections Conversations, Tithe, Adeboye, RCCG, Oyedepo, Daddy Freeze, Durotoye and Sowore

Nigeria: 2019 Elections Conversations, Tithe, Adeboye, RCCG, Oyedepo, Daddy Freeze, Durotoye and Sowore

    By Nneka Okumazie

Sadly for Nigeria, tithes is where we are as a nation. It is incredibly pathetic that as the debate rages, the heat has been turned on pastors, who now share responsibility as the reason for poverty. The picture painted by Daddy Freeze and his addicts is that everyone that goes to Church is poor, and they use the money of those poor for Church assets and luxury. This is not the case. Daddy Freeze often says there is no prosperity by giving, that the richest people in the world do not give to churches or pay tithes, maybe. But in that same country, there are millions of passionate Christians who give and are in their way prosperous.

In the Bible, there were not too many records of most of the people who gave tithes becoming as wealthy, but it was a command in the Old Testament, a necessity in Christianity. Jesus quoted from the Scriptures at His time. The Apostles quoted from the Scriptures at their time. There were several kinds of wonders in the Old Testament that weren’t performed in the New Testament.

Jesus transiently mentioned tithing, but also said “lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven”. He said give, and it shall be given unto you. Tithing can be a way to do both, depending on individual. Tithes are a source of income for Churches; some of the uses are conspicuous. No matter how anyone feels, tithing is not by force, and if a person is not convinced to give, it is better not to.

It is possible to be a genuine Christian and have struggles giving; it is also possible to be a genuine Christian and have struggles with the “go ye into the all world and preach the gospel” command. There may be a chance that a person had a useful opportunity to preach or give, or for forgiveness but did not, and may miss Heaven just because; who knows. Christ Jesus said, “for I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me; But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

What Pastor Adeboye of RCCG told the Church individuals may rest on this: that they may be doing everything else, they should not ignore tithes as it will count towards Heaven. He had at other instances spoken passionately about evangelism according to transcripts of some of his messages. But taking that old tithe comment, and turning it into poverty and Nigeria problem is revealing of the priorities of Nigeria.

Churches in Nigeria have rich members who made money legitimately. They give. Sometimes personally for the pastors welfare, which are not totally luxurious, but the pastors are accused of robbing the poor. Also, no true Pastor will say, do not study, or not go to work. Faith and prayers are fuel in doings but faith and work are a necessity.

Daddy Freeze is passionate against tithes, churches and pastors. It will be interesting to see his list of true churches in Nigeria, if any. Daddy Freeze wants to expose pastors, wants tithes gone and wants to free people from what he believes is brainwashing. Sorry, but if Churches went away, Nigeria will still remain underdeveloped, so, one wonders the lasting goal of his banal campaign.

Assuming Daddy Freeze is passionate about road safety, with new ideas, forums, CSR involvements, projects, etc. His passion will spark others, major differences will be made, he can accept proposals, use the thoughtful ones, he’ll have followers, volunteers, and lives will be saved from crashes, etc. because of them.

Road safety, regular electricity, employment, etc., are some of the areas he would have made a difference. There are young graduates routinely sorrowful on their jobs, or without work. There are people in tears when electricity is OFF. Yet, no one is passionate about any of these and the buzz is against the Church, a place some people go just to hope.

There are mosques everywhere, many have loudspeakers outside, but nobody can touch them. The real swindlers of the poor are Bet and Lotto companies but everyone looks away. Banks and Telcos make giants profits, some from charges, what have they done to useful development of Nigeria? For all, the Church is at fault. As much as it looks like religion is everywhere, religion is largely personal. Nigeria has humongous underdevelopment problems requiring passion and thoughtfulness not distractions and pettiness: (Pope Benedict XVI taking alcohol or why one Pastor won’t make Heaven).

Daddy Freeze said recently to the BBC that Churches use the money of the poor to build schools, but their children cannot afford the schools. There are several ways to counter this blather. For example, you can look at net giving, cost of other private and state government universities, and scholarships that are not advertised.

The biggest problems Church Universities have is the same as all Federal, State and other Private Universities; it is that they don’t have passion for solutions to problems in Nigeria or anywhere else. Not one University is fiercely passionate about solutions, none, defend anything, none. Relentless passion for ways to find solutions; iterations when methods fail until they find what works. Passionate Universities would have produced more thoughtful graduates and automatic life assignments.

Children of the poor attend federal and state universities, after graduation, for many, no work. Assuming every poor child goes to Church Universities and after they graduate no work, it is possible Daddy Freeze would say why can’t the Church find work for them because they gave offerings. His sore hate, not that he wants to make anything better or has any ideas, would be better elsewhere because many Churchgoers in Nigeria are passionate about their Faith, even in trying times, they will not give up.

Daddy Freeze is a wasted opportunity. He would have shown Nigeria how to develop with passion, but he chose the wrong enemies that will outlast him and his cursed cause. There are two youthful presidential aspirants in their forties who want to make Nigeria good. One is a consultant and motivational speaker, Durotoye and the other is an investigative journalist, Sowore.

In their assumption, leadership is the problem of Nigeria, and they want to be the change. So wrong; Presidential or Vice Presidential leadership is not the answer to the problems of Nigeria, the lack of enduring passion for solutions is. Assuming any of these aspirants had championed a powerful passion, say against state governments who will do nothing for their people, but everyone comes to Lagos and some are homeless, this passion would have produced major results and new passion champions.

But NO, for them presidency is the answer, and everything else will answer to them in this corrupt system with unremitting engines of stupidity to distract people and projects that make situations worse. The aspirants have the right to run, hopefully it goes well for one of them, and maybe the President truly changes all.

A Pastor went in the forest in 1983 with vision for a large place of worship, another Bishop too had several visionary moves. But suddenly, Adeboye and Oyedepo are fakes by one Daddy Freeze who cannot own a radio station, and has never done anything substantive, zilch. It is a misfortune that tithes is where Nigeria is as the presidential election approaches. While there is need for genuinely passionate visionaries, Nigeria chose distraction.

  • Tithe again! RCCG Assistant General Overseer disses Daddy Freeze [Video]

Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Assistant General Overseer, Pastor Johnson Funso Odesola in his sermon on Sunday at the Hope Centre parish of the church in Lagos took a swipe at Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze.

TheNewsGuru reports Daddy Freeze, an on-air radio personality, has been so much entrenched in the tithe debate that has shaken the very foundation of tithes payments by Christians in recent times.

Daddy Freeze had earlier questioned the sanity of RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye after the revered man of God, in a video that went viral, was captured warning Christians defaulting payment of their tithes will not make heaven.

In his sermon today, Pastor Odesola, who is the Assistant General Overseer of RCCG in Charge of Administration and Personnel and Pastor-in-Charge of Region 1, who is also an economic justice activist, described the tithe debate as “a very terrible thing”.

“There is a very terrible thing going on the social media now: tithe or no tithe. All those people who are perpetrating it are already freezing in the freezer,” he said, questioning if the church is responsible for the failure of the nation.

“Is it the Church that brought the corruption in this nation? Why don’t they face the Senators that bury monies at the back of their houses? Why don’t they face the people that embezzle money?

“Is it the Church that did not allow the health sector to work? Is it the Church that did not allow the education sector to work?” he queried, adding “that is how you know those who are narrow minded”.

The RCCG Assistant General Overseer went further to admonished Christians to not listen to those who criticize payments of tithes.

“Know the critics; go and check their lives; they don’t achieve anything. What they do is to criticize. Stop listening to them,” he said, beginning from 01:00:09 in the attached video.

Meanwhile, quoting Aristotle on how not to be criticized, the Assistant General Overseer said “say nothing, do nothing, and become nothing,” while also stressing that “anything you do, somebody that will not be pleased, will not be pleased”.

  • No financial qualification to enter Heaven – Reno Omokri

Reactions have continued to trail Pastor E. A. Adeboye comments that Christians defaulting payment of their tithes will not make heaven, as Reno Omokri has said there is no financial qualification required for Christians to make Heaven.

TheNewsGuru reports the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in a video, quoting Matthew 23:23, said the Bible stressed payment of tithe and not otherwise, before going ahead to say Christians who default tithes payment will not make Heaven.

“No pastor can set a financial qualification to entering Heaven,” the former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan stated, while adding: “Paying tithes has nothing to do with entering heaven. Such pastors should read 1Timothy 6:5-6”.

Popular on-air personality, Daddy Freeze, who shared the video on his Instagram handle, had stated his disappointment in the man of God and queried if the man of God was in his right senses.

“Let me show him the Bible today and teach him that tithing is what ensures people of hell! Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself, yet they disobey Jesus by building schools their neighbours can’t attend, often with their neighbours’ contribution. How can you disobey Jesus and tell me to obey Malachi?

“Mark 12:31 NIV the second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. Tithing is the law and teachers of the law are going to Hell according to the Bible,” Daddy Freeze surmised.

According to Reno Omokri, “The only qualification Jesus gave for entry to heaven is that you should be born again then born of water and the Spirit”.

#BBNaija: Reno Omokri, Freeze reacts over Bambam’s eviction

Following Bambam’s eviction from the BBNaija reality TV show, several Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to express themselves.

Spokesman to former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri noted that Bambam having sex in the toilet with Teddy A was just the devil’s way of deceiving her and promising the whole world to her if only she bows to him.

He wrote on Twitter: ”Even after having sex in the toilet, she got evicted. That is how satan deceives. Makes you think you can get the whole world if you bow to him. But after bowing, there’s no guarantee that the riches will manifest”.

In the same vein, controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze said:” BamBam has a lot of explaining to do to her parents and to her church… Especially since she didn’t win the N45 million. Imagine how far N4.5million tithe would have gone to appease the gods. I feel for her, especially since she has to face this hypocritical world, ALONE #BBNaija”.

  • Taking alcoholic drinks in Nightclub is Christ-like – Daddy Freeze

Controversial OAP and founder of the Free Nation In Christ online church, Daddy Freeze has spoken on the importance of consuming alcoholic drinks.

The Free The Sheeple Convener said in an Instagram post that taking alcoholic drinks in a pub moderately and descently is “Christ-like”.

This preaching was inspired by photos of Quilox nightclub owner, Shina Peller helping accident victims with his car and fuel at an accident scene.

Freeze then compared the club owner to pastors in Nigeria, noting that Nigerian pastors would never make such sacrifices.

He then suggested that Jesus mingled with the sinners in a nightclub and drank with them, but did so moderately.

Read his full post below for more details.

Why it’s more rewarding to use your money to buy liquor in @shinapeller ‘s nightclub #Quilox than for you to give it to a Pentecostal church. – There was an accident along the lagos Ibadan expressway and my good friend from the same hood as I, SHINA was passing by. Not only did he stop to help, he siphoned fuel with his mouth because the ambulance on the scene did not have enough fuel. He also gave one of his vehicles to take the injured to the hospital. – How many of your fake ass Daddy GOs would do this? How many of them would use those their dirty, lying ass mouths anointed by satan himself to draw fuel? How many will even stop? – Many of the accidents along that road are caused by the traffic around the numerous satanic institutions set up where developed countries would have set up factories. – When Jesus was alive he drank alcohol and was accused to be in the presence of sinners (possibly in Night Clubs) so enjoying a bottle of Champagne or Henny with coke and ice at quilox in responsibility and moderation is actually Christ like. – ◄ Matthew 11:19 ► NIV The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' —– What could he have been drinking that they labeled him a drunkard? Lucozade boost?? – More so, another reason to patronize them lies in the fact that the club employs people who earn a living through it and it pays taxes as instructed by our first pastors, the disciples; something most pastors and churches are blatantly disobeying. – ◄ Romans 13 ► NIV [6] This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. [7] Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; – Here are my 2cents, stop over at quilox on a Friday and empty your pockets there, so the thieves won’t have anything to steal from you on Sunday, while you are at it, drink responsibly! ~FRZ – #FreeTheSheeple
