    Nigerian pop star, Dammy Krane who was recently cleared of his alleged credit fraud saga has declared that his fans are advising him to sue Tapjets, the private jet company that alleged he stole credit card numbers and used them to book one of its planes.

     

    He asserted that the company got him arrested and used his name to garner publicity. Krane made this statement as a guest on a popular talk-show.

     

    In his words: “Everything the police found on me as evidence are false. If it was true, they will not let me go. I asked the question on Twitter yesterday, all my fans are telling me to sue the company. It’s not a decision only me can make. I have a family and a management team. God is the maximum lawyer, na him fight for my case.”

    Singer Dammy Krane has said his credit saga experience has taught him to know his real friends.

    Recall that the Afro-pop singer was arrested by the Miami-Dade County police for alleged grand theft, credit card fraud, armed conspiracy, forgery, and intent to defraud.

     

    Though the entertainer has been freed of all charges, the experience isn’t one he can forget in a hurry.

    Speaking in a recent chat, he said: “I didn’t expect anything from anybody except for my family and they supported me. 2face and Davido supported me during my crisis. The experience taught to know my real friends . Coming out from that place, a lot could have happened but they kept motivating me. More people know me now, that is advantage of the controversy. Whether it is good or bad, it is still publicity”.

     

    Krane further counseled artistes to be mindful of fraudulent show promoters. According to him: “Artistes need to be careful of agents and promoters. Africa is the only place you are appreciated not tolerated. Its not everything you hear in America that is true”.

     

    Speaking further he said black people are labelled as being frauds outside the shores of Nigeria

    “Blacks are being labeled as fraudulent outside the country . Thank God I won the case, it’s a lesson for everybody”.

  • Dammy Krane is not yet free- Tapjets

    Following the widely circulated report of Dammy Krane’s acquittal of the credit card scam and identity theft charges against him, the prosecutor – TapJets – has said the singer is not yet free.

     

    TapJets is the private jet booking company which implicated Dammy Krane with the crime, the one that the singer insisted on being innocent.

     

    According to him, the counterfeit credit cards used in booking the jet were used by a show promoter who used the cards to make the booking.

     

    Amidst congratulatory messages flooding Dammy Krane’s social media timeline, the private jet company said the court only extended the period in bringing the full charges by six weeks, adding that he is not yet free.

     

    In a statement signed by the TapJets’ Head of flight safety and security, there is a delay in bringing the full charges against the singer.

     

    “There is a 180-day delay in bringing full charges. Information from our attorney indicated that his accomplice, Chukwuebuka Ilochonwu, is giving police full cooperation.

     

    “This was why they asked for 180 days to bring big charges. So he is not free. Court record says ‘no action’ it does not say ‘not guilty”.

    The criminal charges against Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has been terminated by a court in Miami-Dade County, in Florida US. Dammy Krane was charged with credit card forgery, armed conspiracy and grand theft.

    Recall that Krane was in June detained for purportedly booking a private jet service with stolen credit card details.

     

    The pop singer was arrested alongside Ilochukwu Gabriel and was detained at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center before making bail.

     

    The singer was represented by Erik Courtney when he appeared before judge De La O Miguel on Thursday morning.

     

    TheNewsGuru reports that Krane was discharged of all the charges according to the Miami-Dade County online system. The present status of the case on the Miami-Dade Country online system reads ‘closed’

     

    Excited Krane took to Twitter to acknowledge those who were there for him while the case lasted.

    “Sometimes life puts you through trials and tribulations, not to bring you down but to make you stronger. It will also show you who is truly with you, who really cares.

     

    “Case closed. I’m a free man. Let’s get back to the music. One love. Back in the studio! New music on the way.”

     

     

    In the same vein his label boss, Davido also confirmed the termination of the case via his snapchat update.

    Embattled pop star, Dammy Krane who was allegedly involved in a credit card scam has declared that he need prayers from Nigerians.

    The Amin crooner who insisted on his innocence said he knows nothing about fraud.

    He made this known in a recent interview. According to him:”Everybody knows that I’m just all about my music. I’m a musician I don’t do flight bookings, I’m innocent of the allegation. Everyone should please pray for me to come out of this successfully. I’ve a hearing soon, but my lawyer tells me I don’t have to be there, like I said God is in control.

    “Everybody should just keep praying and supporting me. I did a song I recorded a day after I actually got out of jail, I was talking about all these things, especially the prayers my fans said for me.I actually appreciate everybody and I put it in a song and I’m going to be dropping it soon”.

    Embattled Nigerian pop star, Dammy Krane will appear before a judge in Miami on August 1, 2017. The Amin crooner who was arrested months back by the Miami-Dade County police for alleged grand theft, credit card fraud, will appear for trial at the Justice Building, Room 4-3 with Courtney Erik as his defence attorney and Miguel De La O as the judge.

    An affidavit signed by the arresting officers stated that the singer was found in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards when he was arrested. Though he has been granted bail, the pop star denied ever getting involved in fraud, stressing that all he does is music.

    Hear him:” I want to use this medium to apologise to my family, my team and my fans, I was arrested by the Miami PD for fraud. I do not do fraud and I do not partake in such activities. It just happened to be that the agent booked my flight with fraudulent cards.

     

    “My life is all about my music and that’s what I am all about. I’m sorry I got caught up in this mess. I assure all my fans that it will never happen again.

     

    “I wanna thank everyone who stood by my throughout this period. May God continue to bless you and protect you all.

     

    “And to my parents, I wanna thank you for your undying love. Please keep supporting me. I have more music on the way. I promise I will make you proud.”

    Nigerian pop-star Dammy Krane will be appearing in court on 23rd of June, this Friday. However, the Miami Dade Police revealed that they found seven false credit cards in Dammy Krane’s wallet when he was detained

    The New Miami Times reports that though Dammy Krane’s arrest made news in Nigeria, It has gone unnoticed in the United States. The report states that the singer used fake credit cards to fuel his extravagant image.

    Krane was recently arrested at Opa-locka Executive Airport after he used a bogus card to book a private jet flight to Washington, D.C. When the authorities searched him, they found seven false credit cards in his wallet.

    According to New Miami Times:” Now the singer — whose real name is Oyindamola Emmanuel Johnson-Hunga — faces nine felony charges in Miami-Dade criminal court for credit card forgery and grand theft. The arrest has made huge news in Krane’s native Lagos but so far gone unnoticed in the United States”.

    However in a video posted on Instagram, Krane assured his fans that he is innocent of those allegations. In his words:” I do not partake in fraud. I do not partake in such activities. Agents booked my flights with fraudulent cards.”
