    Cubana Chief Priest, celebrity barman and best friend to Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, is excitedly counting down to the singer’s return on social media.

    In early December, Davido announced his withdrawal from social media following his performance at World Cup and quick return to Instagram.

    In a post on his Instagram story and Twitter, Davido revealed that he would be leaving the platforms till March 2023.

    In anticipation of his return, Cubana Chief Priest took to his Instagram page to share a video of him and the singer.

    Counting down to March, Cubana Chief Priest sent New Year greetings to him.

    “47 More Days To Go, Ori Ade. Happy New Year Bestie Mi @davido”.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Davido’s lawyer, lawyer, Bobo Ajudua, revealed in his post that the singer has big plans for 2023.

    The music star’s close associate impressed many netizens after he took to his page to speak on Davido’s plan for the new year.

    The legal practitioner posted a throwback photo of himself with the singer having drinks and in his caption, he referred to him as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT).

    He went on to explain that the singer had said that 2023 shall be bigger and better and it will be so.

    Davido won the Next Rated Award in 2012 at The Headies after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo(2012). Between 2013 and 2015, he released a number of hit singles, and in January 2016, he signed a record deal with Sony Music. He then founded the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), to which acts Dremo, Mayorkun, Peruzzi and Liya have been signed.

    Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has unfollowed Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, on Instagram.

    Davido and Eniola have been best of friends for years prior to his son’s death in October.

    Recall that Eniola made headlines for announcing his demise, which the singer’s fans felt she exploited the toddler’s death for monetary gains.

    However, Eniola is yet to reciprocate, as she is still following the singer at the time of reporting.

    Recall that Eniola’s career in acting professional started in the year 2000 but came into the limelight in 2008 when she shot to recognition starring in two Yoruba films titled Jenifa and Omo Ghetto.

    Both movies are instrumental to her rise in the Nigerian entertainment industry which has since seen her star as both a lead and supporting actress in several Yoruba and English films.

    Davido and Chioma were spotted in Saint Kitts with the Adeleke’s.

    The singer and Chioma are currently on vacation with his family which includes his dad and his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke and his family.

    A video posted on the wife of Adewale Adeleke’s Instagram story, showed the family enjoying an extravagant Christmas dinner.

    Since the death of their son, Davido and Chioma have withdrawn from the spotlight and have been keeping a very low profile. While Davido made his first return to Instagram, Chioma has remained inactive on Instagram.

    The couple has been spending more time with family. This is to ease their grief and to keep them in check from self-harm.

    Ahead of the Christmas celebration, superstar Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Rowland, have been spotted in the company of family.

    This comes after the singer made his first show appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing event after weeks of mourning the loss of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr.

    A video making rounds on social media captured the singer with Chioma amidst the company of her inlaws in preparing for Christmas.

    Davido, who is known to be fond of children was spotted having a playtime with one of his nephews, while his wife chatted with another family member.

    The video, however, stirred emotional reactions from fans who expressed heartfelt concern for the couple.

    “Oh Ify would have been jumping everywhere full of excitement. Devil no like good thing. Jesus complete their joy and restore all they have lost,” a social media user wrote.

    Another added, “Davido’s natural love for kids show everywhere he goes as long as kids are around. ??.”

    According to her, they should have done that instead of carrying on with their lives as if nothing happened.

    Recall that the Nigerian music star and his partner (Chioma) lost their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

    It was gathered that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at his residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

    Ifeanyi who was born in 2019 was said to have been underwater for a very long time before being spotted and rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, he was, however, confirmed dead on arrival.

    The horrific incident happened on Monday night, a few days after his third birthday (October 20).

    However, the Adeleke’s are yet to make any official statement.

It was revealed on October 31 that the 3-year-old boy who had recently celebrated his third birthday on October 20, died after drowning in their family swimming pool in his father’s Banana Island house in Lagos.

    Since the sad news of his son’s drowning in a pool in his banana island residence set the internet agog, as Davido and his baby mama Chioma remained inconsolable during the period. They withdrew into their shell to mourn their late son.

    The singer, who hardly stays off social media has since kept off the public space. His fans had prayed the ‘Aye’ crooner will soon overcome the shock and the trauma of the sudden death of his son.

    Recall that Davido had announced the postponement of his upcoming “Are We African Yet” (A.W.A.Y) festival billed to hold at the State Farm Arena, Georgia, Atlanta, the United States on November 18, in honour of his late son.

    The festival was meant to feature top Nigerian artists including Kizz Daniel, Wande Coal, Lojay, Pheelz, Oxlade, BNXN (also known as Buju), Focalistc, and Victony.

    Davido is set to perform at the closing ceremony, which would mark his first performance since he lost his don, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

    Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, shared the good news via his official Instagram story. He claimed that the singer had confirmed that he will be closing the ceremony at the World Cup.

    Expressing excitement, Stephen Hung stated that he cannot wait to see him.

    “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will be performing at the FIFA World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there”.

    Also confirming the reports as true, Cubana Chief Priest, who is best friend with Davido, revealed that the singer would be performing at the ongoing FIFA event.

    Recall that Ifeanyi Adeleke, Davido’s son, had an untimely death. It was revealed on October 31 that the 3-year-old boy who had recently celebrated his third birthday on October 20, died after drowning in their family swimming pool in his father’s Banana Island house in Lagos.

    Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the child’s death.

    He said: “Domestic staff at Davido’s home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened,” Hundeyin said. “If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, if anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest.”

    The child’s mother, Chioma Rowland, and his father were away when the tragic incident happened at their residence in Lagos.

    The global award-winning musician, 29, got engaged to Rowland, a popular chef, in 2019. The couple had said recently that they plan to marry next year.

    The singer was first seen a couple of weeks ago when he came out in support of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, during his inauguration ceremony.

    The internet is going wild with joy as Afrobeats singer, Davido is set to perform at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

    However, Hong Kong businessman, Stephen Hung, has confirmed the news of his performance and shared in excitement via his official Instagram page

    He claimed that the singer had confirmed that he will be closing the ceremony at the World Cup.

    Expressing excitement, Stephen Hung stated that he can’t wait to see him.

    “So happy my bro @Davido confirmed he will be performing at the World cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there”.

    The announcement was contained in a Wednesday (November 9) press release issued by the BET Award-winning musician’s management. “It is necessary for Davido to spend time with his family and loved ones at this time,” the management said.

    On Monday, October 31, Davido’s three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, passed away, having drowned, according to multiple local reports. Following his death, local police detained eight domestic workers for questioning in connection with the incident, which is said to have occurred in the swimming pool at the home of the Afrobeats star and his fiancée, chef and influencer Chioma Rowland. It was just last month, during a trip to London, that the couple officially announced their plans to marry next year.

    The A.W.A.Y. (Are We African Yet?) music festival, which was originally scheduled for November 18 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, has been pushed back to November 2023. The one-day event is being promoted as an annual celebration of African music and culture in the diaspora, attracting major artists from Africa and the United States while encouraging collaboration among creatives.

    All purchased tickets, according to management, are still valid and “will be honored for the 2023 date.”

    Meanwhile, Davido has removed all event flyers from his social media pages, implying that all scheduled shows, including his much-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 performance, have been canceled or postponed.

    Fans of superstar Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, have paid tribute to the musician’s late son, Ifeanyi, during a 30BG concert held in honour of the singer.

    It would be recalled that the singer lost his son on 31 October 2022, at Banana Island, Lagos, which made Davido maintain a break from social life.

    30BG fans, however, gathered in numbers to throw a concert despite the absence of O.B.O and dedicated a moment to pay tribute to Ifeanyi Adeleke’s untimely demise.

    “We love you Ifeanyi Adeleke, may your soul rest in peace,” one of the hosts stated while the crowd echoed amen.

    Young fast-rising Nigerian singer, Agada Blessed Obotu, aka Berri Tiga, was one of the few artists called on-stage to perform at the Davido Fans Concert at Wonderland.

    However, Berri at the show stirred the emotions of Davido fans as he did the one thing he should never have done, performing his viral song with Carter Efe “Machala”.

    The shunning from the fans was so bad that Berri was forced to leave the stage after performing for barely up to a minute.

    Machala is a praise rendition of one of Davido’s biggest competitions, Wizkid, within the Nigerian music industry.
