  • Orekelewa Saga:Davido wasn’t attacking Dbanj – DJ Jimmy Jatt declares

DJ Jimmy Jatt has cleared the air on the perceived beef between Dbanj and Davido. Recall that DJ Jimmy Jatt featured Davido on his song titled Orekelewa. This beef was sparked because a lot of people thought Davido was throwing jabs at Dbanj in the collaborative song, Orekelewa. Jimmy Jatt said Davido was just playing around the word ‘Koko ‘

“He was just playing around the word ‘koko”, the DJ said in an interview with Hip TV.

He also expounds that he sought the opinions of music enthusiasts to listen to that part of the song and they jointly agreed that Davido was just playing with the word ‘Koko’

“I think it’s just someone’s imagination, I don’t think it’s in that direction and David says it’s not in that direction”, he added.

Speaking about why he chose the release the song now, the veteran DJ said: ”The song has been there since 2015, but I just kept posting and pushing the release. We released it almost a year and half after. When we released it, people loved it and we decided to shoot the video. We shot it sometime last year, but because of our busy schedule, it was released in January.”

The revered DJ also spoke on how the ongoing recession has affected the kickoff of his DJ academy

“I have gotten requests from young people to train them on the art of Deejaying, but that can’t happen now because of the recession, this is not the best time but it will definitely happen.”

  • Davido disses Kokomaster, D’banj in his latest single

Nigerian singer and”Omo Baba Olowo” crooner, Davido appears to have made”diss” a vital part of his music.

In his song,” Orekelewa”, everything was going on fine until Davido took a shot at Kokomaster, D’banj.

    Davido was quoted singing:

“Who them dey ask say what is the koko o, I can tell them say owo ni koko o, he still think say na him be the koko o, get outta here he forget say we don carry am go,” Davido sings, throwing shades at D’banj.

Some believe that Davido introduces ”beefing” in his songs as his unique selling points, while others feel he is being overly dramatic and arrogant. You recall that in the song ‘Osinachi’, Davido mentioned Dele Momodu like he was forcing his way to Dubai, while in ‘Bahd, Baddo, Baddest’, he declared: “Dele na my boy.”

Now he had taken a shot on D’Banj. No-one knows what next will happen between the two of them. Even industry sources cannot pinpoint what went wrong.

As we speak, D’banj is yet to respond or even acknowledge it.

  • Davido dethrones Dbanj in new song

DMW boss, Davido has found his unique way of disrespecting people via his music. In a new DJ Jimmy Jatt song titled Orekelewa which he features in, Davido slams Dbanj whom everyone knows as the self- proclaimed Koko master.

In the 2nd verse of the song, he says: “Who them dey ask say what is the koko o, I can tell them say owo ni koko o, he still think say na him be the koko o, get outta here he forget say we don carry am go”.

This is obviously a subtle shade thrown at Dbanj who calls himself the Koko master.

The Baddest crooner in time past has also taken shots at Dele Momodu. He did that in Falz’s song titled Bahd Baddo Baddest. His infamous ‘Mr Dele na my boy Dele na my boy!!’ remains one of the controversial part of the song.
