    Delta LG Polls: Emevor PDP pledges massive votes for Ogorugba, Councillors

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 7 in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Sunday, vowed to vote massively for the party’s Chairmanship candidate, Prince Godwin Ogorugba and Ward Councilorship candidates in the July 13, Local Government Council election across the state.

    Leaders and stakeholders of the party gave the pledge at the party’s Ward rally held at Afiedhe in Emevor Community on Sunday, where they agreed to also vote massively for the Wards councilorship candidates, Hon. Edafe Anighoro and Mrs Evelyn Umukoro.

    This was as some former members of the opposition party in the community defected to the leading PDP in the community.

    Leading the defectors, Warrant Officer Godspower Omonedo (rtd) said they left the opposition party because of the good works of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the community culminating in the construction of the Phase 1 of the Emevor-Orogun road including his approval for the construction of the second phase to Ivrogbo community in Isi-Emevor.

    Leader of the party in the Ward and Chairman of Delta State Hospitals Management Board HMB, Dr Paul Oweh called on the people to support Ogorugba and the Councilorship candidates in appreciation of Governor Oborevwori’s for the completion of Phase 1 of the Emevor-Orogun road and approval for the construction of phase 2 to Isi-Emevor.
    Other speakers at the rally including Dr Nelson Ejakpovi, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Beautification, Chief Emmanuel Erezih, Comrade Nelson Egware, Chief Emmanuel Erhire, Hon. Anthony Odhe, Chief Peter Ibiri, Mr Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, Hon. Sylvester Ifode, Mrs Edirin Ifode called on the party members to ensure continuation of the party’s winning freak in the area.

    Highpoint of the rally was the passing of a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and all party candidates in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Isoko North Local Government Area Chapter, has announced Sunday, July 7, 2024, for the Ward rallies ahead of the July 13, Council elections in Delta State.

    Director-General of the Isoko North PDP Campaign Council, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

    Egbabor said that the 13 Wards in the Local Government Area would simultaneously hold their Ward rallies at 1pm on Sunday.

    The Campaign DG urged all ward leaders and party stakeholders to mobilise adequately for the various campaigns at the wards to ensure victory for the party’s Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Prince Godwin Ogorugba, his running mate, Dr. (Mrs) Evelyn Aluta, and the 20 Councillorship candidates of the party come July 13.

    The statement read: “Rising from a meeting of the Campaign Council, we have resolved that the 13 Wards in the Local Government Area will hold their Ward rallies at 1pm on Sunday, July 7.

    “All ward leaders, elders, party faithful and stakeholders have been directed to mobilise massively at the various wards to ensure victory for our Chairmanship candidate Prince Godwin Ogorugba, his running mate Dr. (Mrs) Evelyn Aluta and the 20 Councillorship candidates of the party come July 13.” he stated.

    Delta LG Polls: Oromoni promises ‘big deal’ for Warri South-West

    As Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flags-off campaign for the Local Government elections in Warri South-West Local Government Area tomorrow, Chairmanship candidate of the party Chief Sylvester Oromoni has promised a big deal for the people.

    In a statement on Tuesday to welcome leaders of the party to Ogbe-Ijoh for the flag-off exercise, Oromoni with his campaign theme tagged “Assurance 2024” urged the people to expect more if elected.

    He said that his administration would focus on providing streetlights to light up communities, healthcare for sustainable living and human capital development in terms of welfare packages for the people.

    He stressed that the growth and development of the people remains the highest calling of leadership and therefore would strive to ensure that the people’s welfare remained paramount in his administration if elected come July 13, 2024.

    While thanking Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and party leadership in the state and local government for his choice as standard flag bearer of the party, Oromoni assured that he would not dissapoint the people if elected into office.

    He urged party faithful in all the wards and people of the local government area to come out en-masse to welcome the party’s campaign train to Ogbe-Ijoh,  the council headquarters.

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Isoko North Chapter has constituted the campaign council for the July 13, 2024, local government council elections in the state.

    The campaign council was inaugurated, Friday, at the Otor-Igho country home of the Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko by eminent lawyer and notary public, Vote Umukoro Esq.

    The Campaign Council has Dr. Paul Oweh as Chairman, Dr Joseph Onojaeme, Deputy Chairman, while Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor is the Director General of the Campaign, Chief Jonathan Umukoro is Deputy Director General and Hon Mike Ogwah is the Secretary. Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor and former National Vice Chairman South-South PDP, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi are to serve as leaders.

    Also appointed as Ward Coordinators are Hon. Frank Ozue Iyede 1; Mr. Mike Ekakitie, Iyede 2; Hon. Victor Oyibotha, Emevor; Hon. Benson Ubogu, Otor-Owhe; Sunday Ejoke, Otor-Igho; Hon.     In his remarks, Hon. Bernard Odior thanked party leaders and stakeholders for their support for the party and appealed for patience among aggrieved persons.

    He charged the Campaign Council to ensure victory for all party candidates come July 13, 2024.

    Responding, Dr Oweh thanked leaders of the party for finding them worthy to serve, assuring that the Campaign Council would work assiduously to deliver the Chairmanship candidate, Prince Godwin Ogorugba and the party’s Councilorship candidates across the LGA.

    Dr Oweh who is Chairman, Delta State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), said elections were done at the wards and units and charged ward coordinators to work hard in consonance with leaders and stakeholders to ensure landslide victory in all the units.
