In a post on X, he revealed that music became his priority, and he neglected his family, leading to their divorce when he was 22. He stated, “Music became a priority instead of my family. We got divorced when I was 22, and it hurt. I am still very much in love with my music, and I wouldn’t want to marry another and mess it up again”

    Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has recalled how billionaire music producer Don Jazzy gave him $10,000 and offered to collaborate on his song ‘Asampete.’

    The 31-year-old rapper in a recent interview on Beat 97.9FM, said he reached out to Don Jazzy because he felt the producer’s vocals were essential to complete the track.

    Odumodublvck said during his visit to Don Jazzy’s residence, he was given the money and told that he could keep all the royalties from the song.

    He added that Don Jazzy even offered to be featured as an artiste on the track.

    “Don Jazzy is the king of Afrobeats. But ask anybody there is nobody who is more original than Don Jazzy. Don Jazzy is an OG. Respect to my brothers Burna, Wiz, Olamide, Dave all of us used to look up to him. Like the way we used to look up to them — Wizkid and David, they used to look up to him,” he said.

    “…I just hit him up. The first day we did ‘Asampere’, I recorded a vocal that sounded like Don Jazzy’s vocal and I was like Don Jazzy should do it.

    “When I went to meet him, he gave me a lot of money. I have to put it out there. I tell them everywhere I go. He gave me $10,000 cash. Don no be for mouth. He still gave me vocals.

    “He now told me that I can keep all the royalties and I can keep him as a featured artiste. That day, they still cooked food for me to eat. They gave me turkey. The line for ‘turkey’ was already put in the song and that was God.”

    Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has used social media to express gratitude to music mogul Don Jazzy for a recent substantial personal donation.

    The fitness expert, in a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, disclosed how the music executive gifted him a substantial “crazy amount of money” shortly after paying him a visit.

    Although he did not divulge the amount, VeryDarkMan said the money surpassed anything he had ever received.

    He said, “I stayed in Lagos after the Falana case because I wanted to show my appreciation to Don Jazzy personally for donating to my NGO.

    “Yesterday, I was at his place for the appreciation but while I was there, a number kept calling me on Snapchat. When I picked, the person told me she was being harassed by the police so I had to reach out to the police to assist her.

    “After the call, Don Jazzy looked surprised and asked if that is how I get disturbed to settle matters and I told him yes.

    “While at it, I got his message asking for my personal account details. When I sent it, he sent me a crazy amount of money. This is the money that has never been in my account ever in my life.

    “Then Don Jazzy said the money he sent was mine not for the NGO. I know he won’t like that I’m publicising this so I will not disclose the amount. However, I do care because I like to appreciate people who are deserving. So shout out to you Don Jazzy.”

    The gesture is coming barely a month after Don Jazzy donated a sum of N100 million to VeryDarkMan’s non-governmental organization (NGO).

    Nigerian controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has reacted to the news of  music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy donating a hundred million to social media influencer, VeryDarkMan for his Non Governmental Organisation, NGO.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that Martin Otse also known as Verydarkman had launched a Non Governmental organisation Organization (NGO) with the aim of assisting those in public schools to have a better education.

    On Thursday, October 17, 2024 VeryDarkMan reported that he got a N100 million from an anonymous donor and was surprised at finding the large sum of money in his NGO account.

    He later received a message from Don Jazzy confirming he was the unknown person that sent the money because he believes in his cause and mission.

    The music producer’s gesture stirred reactions from social media users and celebrities alike.

    Reacting, Portable via his Instagram page called out the record producer for failing to help him.

    Portable urged the record producer to send him some money while throwing subtle shades at VeryDarkMan, who he claimed opened the NGO account to fight for himself.

    The singer revisited an interview in which Don Jazzy stated how he uses Portable to inspire his signees, making reference to his industrious spirit and asking the signees to emulate him.

    Portable further said that Don Jazzy should stop using him to motivate singers and should help him by gifting him money instead.

    He said, “My fans, do not let them deceive you. Someone who said he is fighting for Nigeria is actually fighting for himself. That is why I am fighting for myself. My fans please ask them to send me money too.

    “I am less privileged and I also bless the less privileged. Do not send money to an unfortunate person, send money to a fortunate person. Don Jazzy, do not use me to motivate your signees, bless me, help me. I need help.

    “Do not use me to motivate your signees saying ‘can you not see the way Portable is doing’ and you did not help Portable. I message you on Instagram, you did not reply and you are using me to motivate. Please do not use me to motivate only, help me. Send millions to me too.”

    Nigerian record producer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, is currently trending at No.1 on the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter because he donated N100,000,000 to social media critic, Martins Oste better known as VeryDarkMan to support his newly established non-governmental organization (NGO).

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that VeryDarkMan had raised an alarm in a video on his Instagram page, questioning the large deposit from an anonymous contributor and requesting an investigation by Zenith Bank.

    However, in a new video released on Thursday, VDM, shared proof that the donation came from Don Jazzy.

    The record producer had reached out to inform him that he made the donation to support the cause.

    Don Jazzy confirmed in the chat that it was his little way of giving back to the community and particularly certain of the funds being made use of properly.

    Sharing the video, VeryDarkMan wrote:  “This is the person that sent my NGO the 100 million naira: TILL NOW I CANT BELIEVE IT…..ONE HUNDRED MILLION NAIRA left an account just like that, as you have supported this cause to bring better basic education for our public schools children may God bring long life and Good health to you and your household, i sincerely have a lot to say to you sadly I can’t even express the joy I feel inside, GOD BLESS YOU BROS, please join me to say a prayer for him.”

    Following the gestures, fans of the music mogul have taken to social media to sing his praises.

    D’Banj, Don Jazzy set to jointly release new album

    Famous Nigerian singers D’banj and Don Jazzy have reunited to release a new album titled ‘The Entertainer Sequel’. D’banj announced the album on his Instagram page, sharing a video featuring Don Jazzy, TV host Jimmie Akinsola, actor Gideon Okeke, and others.

     

    The album, a follow-up to D’banj’s 2008 release ‘The Entertainer’, includes remixes of popular songs such as ‘Fall in Love’, ‘Feli Feli’, ‘Igwe’, and ‘Suddenly’.

     

    D’Banj first gained fame with the release of his hit ‘No Long Thing’ in 2005.

    He and Don Jazzy previously collaborated at the music label they co-founded, ‘Mo’Hits Records’, before their split.

    Both men are back for a new project.

    Popular Nigerian producer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, also known as  Don Jazzy, has revealed that  he is still unmarried at 41.

    He revealed that he’s not yet married because he’s an ‘Ashawo’

    Don Jazzy disclosed this while reacting to a post by an X user accusing him of frolicking with Instagram “baddies.”

    The user with the handle @Ugbede_ wrote, “Once you open any baddies page on instagram the first thing you’ll see is ‘followed by don jazzy’. That man is everywhere.”

    Reposting the tweet, Don Jazzy said, “I be ashawo na. Na why I never marry.”

    Taking to the comment section, a curious fan asked, “But fr [for real] @DONJAZZY why aren’t you married?”

    Don Jazzy replied, “I dey work on myself so that when my head correct, my babe go enjoy me.”

    It would be recalled  that in 2021, Don Jazzy revealed that he got married to American model, Michelle Jackson in 2003 at the age of 20, but they divorced two years after.

    Don Jazzy also dispell rumours circulating that he is secretly married with four children.

    The Anambra born music director didn’t give a clue as to when he would eventually marry but gave an impression that he would some day.

    Veteran music producer, Michael Collins Ajere, professionally known as Don Jazzy, has acknowledged Grammy award -winning singer, Wizkid.

    This comes after Wizkid, publicly praised music mogul describing him as an “amazing human.”

    Wizkid’s post reads, “Don jazzy!! amazing human!”

    The commendation which was posted on Wizkid’s X handle on Thursday, comes weeks after a public fallout between the two music giants on social media.

    The 32-year-old had shaded Don Jazzy following a controversial post by Ladipoe, a Mavin Records signee, who seemed to mock Wizkid’s statement that “hip hop is dead.”

    After a fan brought the post to Wizkid’s attention, he responded by saying, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

    He further retweeted two posts hinting that Don Jazzy, head of Mavin Records, was merely an influencer.

    In response, Don Jazzy unfollowed Wizkid on Instagram, signaling a rift between the two of them.

    However, it seems the disagreement between the duo has been resolved, as evidenced by Don Jazzy’s recent show of gratitude towards Grammy award singer for endorsing Mavin star Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21.’

    The music executive also responded to the tweet praising Wizkid.

    “Babanla,” Don Jazzy wrote.

    Few months after labelling him an ordinary influencer, Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Wizkid has praised veteran producer and music executive, Don Jazzy for his “amazing” nature.

    This is coming after their recent fallout  with their fans exchanging words on social media.

    It would be recalled  that Wizkid shaded Don Jazzy after his signee Ladipoe seemingly ridiculed him in an X post for claiming that ‘hip hop is dead’.

    After a fan alerted Wizkid to the post, he reacted by saying, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

    He also retweeted two tweets suggesting that he referred to Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy as an influencer.

    Don Jazzy reacted by unfollowing Wizkid on Instagram.
