A place of bliss and satisfaction because I am more than contented with how far this opportunity has brought me. The last five years have been the most blissful years of my career. The journey has been extremely wonderful and filled with the best experiences. I’ve learnt that family is not just about blood ties but about the love, sacrifices and friendship that exist amongst its members.

I’ll be eternally grateful to him for sacrifices he made towards the growth of my career. His selflessness and efforts towards me and the entire Mavin crew is one that is admirable and worthy of emulation.

“A true KING with a large heart, full of kindness and ready to accommodate even more people. And to the rest of the crew, Our family is a clear example of the saying, “We rise by lifting others.” Thank you all for all the times you’ve lifted me at my lowest moments, for the support, the amazing hits and most especially, the LOVE. • Taking this bold step and moving on from Mavin Records onto bigger opportunities is something that, though not easy, is absolutely necessary because of my growth. I am very ecstatic about what the future holds and I cannot wait to share with everyone what new opportunities have come. Long Live Mavin Records”.

  • I don’t care about settling with Don Jazzy- Kelly Handsome

Music lovers were shocked when Kelly Handsome accused Don Jazzy of planning his arrest.

The versatile singer shared the story on his Instagram page while celebrating a soldier friend’s birthday.

In a chat with Punch, he stated that he didn’t have the intention to reveal the information but all he said was true.

He said:“It was when Don Jazzy arrested me that I met the soldier I mentioned in my post. I wanted to wish him a happy birthday and I remembered the event. I guess people were surprised because they felt Don Jazzy could not do such. Why would you lock up your brother for doing a cover of a song. The track was titled, I’m Feeling Good, by 2baba featuring D’banj, while Don Jazzy produced it. If he is proud of what he did, he should respond.”

“I don’t care about meeting him or settling things. He is a producer, I am a producer too. If he buys seven houses and I buy one, it is the same bed we will sleep on. I don’t need to have many houses to be satisfied as a human being. I wish he would accept that he went too far by jailing me but he will not do that because of pride. You can only deceive people for a while, not forever. He would have said something if I was lying, but he didn’t admit or say a word because it was true. I am sure if he comes out to deny it, Charly Boy will speak.”

  • What Don Jazzy told me after BBNaija–Anto, BBNaija 2018 star

What Don Jazzy told me after BBNaija–Anto, BBNaija 2018 star

BBNaija 2018 star, Anto Lecky has metamorphosed from the conservative damsel who walked into the Big Brother house to becoming a star whose picture adorns front covers of magazines, signs autographs on red carpets and living life on her own terms.

The intelligent 2011 graduate of University of North Carolina in this interview with TheNewsGuru, opens up on life after BBNaija, projects she is working on, advice Don Jazzy gave her, amongst other issues.

What were you doing before BBNaija?

Before BBNaija, I was the head of operations for a private, professional basketball league based in Nigeria. The goal of the league is to mimic the operations of the NBA in the US, to boost the sports industry in Africa.

What made you decide to be part of the reality TV show?

I was ready to take my career to next level and The Big Brother platform is the biggest entertainment platform in all of Africa. I knew that with being on the show, my life would completely change for the better and it has.

How have you been able to handle life after BBNaija?

It hasn’t been easy, but I have been prayerful. I have a supportive family, friends, and fans. I know why I went on the show, to change my life and impact change in the world and that is what keeps me going.

Would you advice anyone to be part of the next edition of the reality TV show?

If you want to boost your career, Big Brother is an excellent platform. I would also advise though, that one must be physically, mentally, and emotionally strong as being in the House and life outside the House will be stressful.

You recently acted in a stage play, what was the experience like for you?

It was amazing! It was my first professional acting role, so I was definitely nervous. But I had a great cast and director supporting me. And apparently, I didn’t do too bad. Everyone said they were most surprised by my performance in the play. Now that I have “concurred” stage, I am ready for more acting roles, cinema, television, and more stage.

Do you think some Nigerians took some of the events at the BBNaija house too personal?

Some Nigerians took and are still taking events from the house too personal. I understand that many people have now created a personal bond with us based on watching us in the house, but I think people need to remember that we are all human and are trying our best outside of the house to live our best lives. Support us on the journey.

What new projects are you working on?

So many things, my brain is on overload .But I have a few more acting roles coming up. I will be launching some business partnerships, brand ambassadorial roles, and NGO projects. It’s a very exciting time for me, and I’m enjoying every opportunity coming my way.

What is the weirdest message you have ever gotten in your DM after BBNaija?

Two messages stick out to me: One person requested an Iphone X when I was still using an Iphone 6. A fan also sent me a picture of his penis. Funny times we are living in.

What is your definition of a sexy woman?

Confidence. Nothing exudes sexiness more than confidence. Knowing you are sexy and owning it, whether or not other people think you are sexy.

Whose advice has been instrumental to your success so far and who gave it?

Don Jazzy told me the secret to peace of mind when dealing with social media trolls is block and delete.

“This man and @areafada1 made sure I was good. I turned my cell block into a concert and all inmates chanted MAGA DON PAY and LIKE PLAY and we talked all night. You and the two Army Generals whose names I won’t mention took care of me. (RIP Sarki Kabo, he was a good man) Two times people I know were implicated in dangerous cases and everyone involved fired except the ones who mentioned my name.

“They didn’t commit the crime but they were innocently chilling with them guys; to mention but a few cases brother, you’re more than a friend. Person wey get person big pass person wey get money for real. I salute you Capo. May this day bring you long life and great wealth. May you match and never fall. May evil forever lose the directions to your location and may God bless you and yours. Happy Birthday Padi me, I throway salute. ??? Dr Sid is no doubt a talented entertainer. The Mavin artiste singer who recently released two new songs to celebrate his birthday has opened up on how he met his boss and friend, Don Jazzy.

Speaking in a chat with Pulseng, he said Don Jazzy can be perceived to be a proud person because he is generally a shy guy.

When I was in Da Trybe, I was recording an hip-hop album, called the ”Prognosis”, which never came out, so then I joined Mo-Hits Records, D’banj was like I should come through but Don Jazzy did not want me to join in the first place.

Don Jazzy used to do shakara for me that year, he is generally a shy guy, so if you don’t take time to know him, he can come across as being arrogant, but we bonded quite well overtime and became very close.

It was D’banj who felt there was a lot of benefit to have someone already familiar with the industry join the team.” he said.

Speaking further the ‘Surulere’ crooner said he has not offered Nigeria 10 percent of his musical talent.

“I just realized that for some reasons, I have been blessed to be surrounded by extremely talented people that have constantly given me the ability to grow and motivation and ginger to keep going on. I think I still have a lot to offer in music, I know this is weird to say after almost 20 years, but I don’t think I have given Nigeria 10% of Dr Sid, and that is me being honest, I realized I have actually been too shy to express myself.”
