    Popular Nigerian singer, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, fondly called Reekado Banks, has reacted to the rumours of feud with former Boss, Don Jazzy.

    He debunked the rumour in a recent sit-down with media luminary, Daddy Freeze, who conducted an in-depth interrogation regarding his purportedly strained relationship with Don Jazzy.

    In his response, Reekado denied the rumors, emphasizing that Don Jazzy played a pivotal role in transforming his life from nothing to something significant.

    Reekado further explained that the common narrative of artists departing their record labels amid animosity is unfairly being associated with his departure from Mavin Records.

    He clarified that he recently reached out to Don Jazzy, affirming that their relationship remains amicable and devoid of any lingering tension.

    Don Jazzy reacts to report of selling Mavin records

    Mavin Records CEO  , Michael Collins Ajereh, fondly called Don Jazzy, has reacted to the rumours that his record label is up for sale.

    In October 2023, Billboard reported that Mavin Records is seeking investment or eying a potential full sale with bidding coming from the Universal Music Group, HYBE and strong interest from music asset investors in the financial sector, according to sources.

    But Don Jazzy while reacting to the rumours said the label isn’t seeking a sale

    The music producer  in the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast said
    Mavin Records is lucrative and has a lot of potential, hence the patronage from foreign investors.

    In his words, “It [the rumours about the sale of Mavin Records] is simple. We have investors, Kupanda Holdings, and they have been here for five years now, so dem go gona [laughs].

    “Obviously, a bunch of people are interested in investing in Mavin. If you have gold or diamonds, people will always patronise you. And Mavin Records has a lot of potential.”

    Collins Enebeli Ajereh, father of Nigerian music mogul, Don Jazzy has said he is not putting pressure on his son to get married.

    Speaking in an interview with TVC, Ajereh maintained that he would not pressurise Don Jazzy to remarry, stressing that marriage is a personal decision.

    According to him: “Jazzy was married. But they decided to end their marriage.”

     Asked if he still had hope that Jazzy would remarry, Ajereh said, “Well, that is his choice. The question of marriage is individual choice. Some people choose marriage and some don’t and yet have relationships that might blossom into what makes their lives complete.”

    Nigerian Singer , Charles Chibueze Chukwu popularly known as Crayon, has thanked God that he didn’t get popular and blown in the industry when he was first signed by Don Jazzy in 2019.

    He said having a successful music career now is more satisfying than it would have been then, and he just had to be patient.

    Crayon stated via his official X account noted that God was probably testing him like Job in the Bible.

    According to him, now that he’s a buzzing artist, he is “coming for everything like a comet.”

    Nigerian singer and former signee of Marvin’s record, Di’ja Yaro has finally broken her silence on her unexpected exit from Don Jazzy’s music label.

    Di’Ja candidly revealed the reasons behind her departure, offering insight into her personal journey and growth that ultimately led her to part ways with Mavin Records prematurely.

    A fan had asked why Di’Ja left Don Jazzy’s record label, suggesting she could have achieved even greater fame than Tems.

    She responded:

    “I never left. Kindly know this. Life happens, and we are grateful for all the love and happenings”.

    In addition to clarifying that she had not quit Mavins Records, Di’Ja restated her support for Tems.

    “God bless Tems, and I need her to get bigger.” she added

    Nigerian record producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has opened up on why he did not sign Afrobeats superstars, Wizkid and Davido to his now-defunct record label, Mo’hits.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Don Jazzy made the disclosure when he was featured as a guest on the Leaderboard podcast hosted by Fisayo Fosudo.

    The famous music executive explained that he could not sign Wizkid because Banky W, the CEO of EME Records, had already taken the opportunity to sign the Starboy.

    On Davido, Don Jazzy, who is the CEO of Mavin Records, revealed that he had the chance to sign him but chose not to because he believed Davido would thrive without the support of a record label.

    Don Jazzy also expressed regret for not signing artists like Simi and Teni. He mentioned that he came close to signing rapper Falz The Bahd Guy, but unfortunately, the deal did not fall through.

    “I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I had the opportunity of signing Davido but I didn’t because I kind of figured that he would be fine.

    “Wizkid, obviously, I couldn’t because Banky W got to him first. That would have been amazing. Falz, I love his work. We almost had a deal,” the Mavin Records boss said.

    Nigerian music producer and singer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has explained that he ever regret his confrontation with his colleague, Olamide, at the 2015 Headies Awards

    Recall that there was mild drama at the 2015 Headies Awards event after Don Jazzy’s signee, Reekado Banks, was announced the winner of the highly coveted Next Rated category, which Olamide rejected, saying his YBNL-protégé, Lil Kesh deserved it more.

    According to Don Jazzy what transpired back then was not his usual character.

    The music producer made this confession while Speaking on the recent episode of Doyin’s Corner podcast hosted by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Doyin, saying he wasn’t his usual self on the night.

    He said, “There was the Headies incident [my alteration with Olamide]. That one was also out of character. I regretted that like instantly as soon as I came down from the stage.”

    He said he had already apologized to the organisers and Olamide.

    Tiwa Savage reveals crushing on Don Jazzy

    Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has stirred reactions online after revealing her affection for her former boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy.

    The mother of one shared a video of the singer via her Instagram page, and expressed her love for him.

    According to Tiwa, Don Jazzy’s handsomeness was beginning to ‘enter her eyes’ and she could not hide it anymore.

    In her words: “Ahh Ahh let me not talk before they misinterprete my words but it’s as if Don Jazzy dey enter person eye like this.”

    Reacting to this, some netizens advised the singer to shoot her shot at her former boss since they have been close for a long time.

    However, it is well known that Tiwa Savage and the Marvin Record label boss (Don Jazzy) are best of friends even after the songstress parted ways with the music label.

    Earlier, Don Jazzy shared a video that features Comedian Kiekie in a trending skit.

    In the video shared by the music executive, Don Jazzy, he was seen questioning his Pharmacist, Kiekie, about the fake condoms she sold to him that resulted in his lovers being pregnant for him.

    After Don Jazzy expressed his utmost displeasure, some group of pregnant ladies stormed the pharmacy shop.

    Reacting to the video, Tiwa Savage shared the video on her Instagram story while tagging Don Jazzy and captioned it, “@donjazzy my guy me too I’m pregnant o (na joke o, social media amebos)”.

    Popular singer and music producer, Don Jazzy, has opened up about why he cannot be in a relationship with one woman.

    In a podcast, the Mavin boss said that he has not gotten to the point where his interest can be in only just one woman.

    According to him, he has not yet figured out how other people can like a single person and then put off their interest in other women because he has, at the moment, never felt the need to do so.

    While making his point, he gave a scenario where one lady he likes comes to an event with another lady, and he could just at that moment begin to have interest in the second lady as well.

    Don Jazzy added that he does not mind his partners also being in a thing with other people if they feel they need to do so.

    Don Jazzy explains why he can’t be faithful to only one woman

    On 7 May 2012, Don Jazzy announced a new record label, Mavin Records. He said, “I see Mavin Records being the powerhouse of music in Africa in the shortest possible time.” On 8 May 2012, he released an album featuring the artists signed to his label. The songs on the album included: “Amarachi”, “Forever”, “Oma Ga”, “Take Banana and Chocolate”, “YOLO” and the anthem “I’m a MAVIN”.

    Mavin records signed the vocalist, Tiwa Savage. Don Jazzy built a social network platform called “Marvin League” to complement and market his label. On 5 November 2013, Ajereh had conflict with an artist, Wande Coal who left the label two days later.

    In September 2014, Ajereh produced a Nigerian social activist song with Reekado Banks and Di’Ja called “Arise”. At the Headies Awards 2015, Ajereh argued with Olamide. The two disagreed about who should have won the “Next Rated” award. Lil Kesh of YBNL records lost to Reekado Banks, Ajereh’s artist. The winner of the award received a car. Apologies on both sides were posted afterward.

    After Reekado Banks’ departure from the Mavin Records label, Don Jazzy said he is still part of the family and wished him nothing but success in his career as he thanked him for the time spent with Mavin Records.

    In 2019, he signed Rema and later went on in 2020 to sign Ayra Starr into Mavins Record Label. In 2021, he announced a new artist, Magixx. On 7 April 2021, he revealed why he never signed Davido.

    Some people sell my contact to strangers to beg for money – Don Jazzy reveals

    Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy, has revealed some people sell his mobile line to strangers just to reach him and beg for money.

    The Mavins boss has expressed fear of going broke if he continues giving out money.

    While complaining about how he receives calls from strangers who constantly call for financial assistance, the singer said he’s now putting his phone on ‘do not disturb’ mode to avoid some of these strange calls from people.

    Don Jazzy took to social media to express shock at learning that unidentified persons were selling his mobile lines, revealed that certain persons are responsible for the constant calls he receives from strangers as they willfully sell his numbers to these people so that they could call him for no reason.

    “They sell the number, so people will message me for no reason. My phone is forever on ‘Do Not Disturb’ (DND). I know that some people will think that I am cocky or forming, but that is not the point here.

    “When I’m in a good mood, and I pick some of these calls, they will tell me that they bought the number, but they can’t reveal who sold it to them.

    “You have to set certain boundaries. Even if I do not want to, my brother (General) tries as much as possible to reduce the number of people that get to me because you can lie any stupid lie, and I will give you the money, but if I continue that way, I can go broke.”
