    Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records to celebrate 10th year anniversary with all star album

    Marvin Record has promised its fans the release of an all star album to celebrate its 10th year anniversary later in the year.

    Mavin boss, Don Jazzy made this known via his verified Instagram page on Friday.

    Don Jazzy shared a photo with all its artistes including; Rema, Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, DJ Big N, Johnny Drille, Magixx, Boy Spyce and Bayanni.

    According to Jazzy, the Mavin all-star single and album specially made for fans will be released on November 2 and December 2, 2022 respectively.

    The music producer also noted that Marvins record has planned to organize a concert too on December 16th.

    He wrote:“It’s more fun when it’s with family. Excited to announce the Mavin at 10 special, curated specially for our fans.

    “New Single- 2nd November. Mavin all star Album- 2nd December. Mavin all star concert w/ @livespotx – 16th December.”

    In 2019, Mavin Record released an all-star single titled: “All is in order” produced by Don Jazzy.

    The single was a joint collaboration which featured all Mavin artistes including Don Jazzy, Rema, Korede Bello, DNA and Crayon.

    Mavin Records is a Nigerian music corporation record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012. The label’s inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and D’banj.

    The socialite attended Don Jazzy’s mother’s funeral which was held on Friday, October 7.

    A while back, popular Lagos socialite, Pretty Mike has shared his thoughts about men who love big derriere.

    Taking to his Instagram page to address women dating such men, Pretty Mike told them to accept the fact that their partner is a chronic cheat owing to the number of ladies with big backsides and those who undergo cosmetic surgery to enhance their behind.

    According to him, any man who dates a lady because of her massive backside would definitely cheat on her with another lady with an equally big backside.

    Ahead of the burial of Mrs Ajereh, mother of Marvin record boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, the “Kokomaster” Dbanj and “Dem Mama” soldier Timaya have visited the deceased’s husband.

    Mavingrandpa, Don Jazzy’s dad recently shared a video of fun moments he had with his sons and colleagues-turned-friends while they gear up for his wife’s burial.

    According to him, the mother battled cancer prior to her death, noting she was strong till the last minute despite the disease.

    Expressing his grief, Don Baba described her as his “supporter and backbone,” who was loved “by everyone that ever met her.”

    The Mavins Records boss called for prayers for the family and the soul of his mother to rest in peace.

    In a new video shared by Jazzy’s young-looking father on his Instagram page, it captured some heartwarming moments.

    He could be seen with his sons and friends singing and dancing to ‘I Concur’, a 2015 smash hit by Timaya featuring Don Jazzy while they watched it on the television.

    He captioned the video: “As the reality countdown commence to celebrate the exit of @indianpicolo, we concur that this is to the glory of God. @donjazzy @iambangalee @timayatimaya @gen.jaymavin.”

    Don Jazzy had described Mrs Ajereh as his “supporter and backbone,” who was loved “by everyone that ever met her.”

    In his words: “Lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo,” he wrote in the caption.

    “I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her. She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer.

    “I have never typed a more difficult caption in my life. Please pray for our mum’s soul to rest in peace and for strength for my dad, my siblings, her grandchildren and our entire family to bear this loss.”

    Mavin boss, Collins ‘ Don Jazzy’ Ajereh has unveiled a new artiste, Bayanni, as the newest addition to the music record label.

    The label unveiled its new signee in a video shot on a yacht featuring ace skitmakers Brain Jotter and Sabinus.

    The video was captioned “We’re glad to unveil The Newest Mavin on the block; @ITSBAYANNI A product of the Mavin Academy. Welcome to the family @ITSBAYANNI.”

    The singer, who used to go by the name Zheno Boy, has dropped his first extended project entitled “Bayanni.”

    Acknowledging the welcome, the new artiste, Bayanni, took to his Twitter handle to announce himself as the newest member of the Mavin family and appreciate Don Jazzy for the opportunity given to him.

    “Lonely nights, dark mornings, waiting for the sun to shine on me while posting my freestyles back in 2016. Then I got a DM in 2019 from someone I respect so much. @DONJAZZY  thank you for giving me this opportunity. Sit back, as I take you on this journey. I’m ready, ARE YOU?” He posted.

    Reacting to the announcement, multiple award-winning Afrobeats artiste, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido took to his Twitter page to congratulate the Mavin’s newest signee.

    “So happy for him …. God bless u don baba” he posted.

    Bayanni who is an Alumni of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), will be joining the rich team of Mavin music which is comprised of multiple talented artistes such as Don Jazzy himself, Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Crayon, Boy spice and Magixx.

    Nigerian record producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has slammed people who condemn housemates in ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) “Level Up” edition for flirting.

     

    He pointed out that flirting with two or three people happens everyday in different homes, noting that the difference is the presence of cameras in Biggie’s house.

     

    Don Jazzy, who is the founder and the CEO of Mavin Records, shared his thoughts via his official Twitter page.

     

    He wrote: “All these everybody toasting everybody, flirting with everybody vibing with 2 or 3 people at the same time happens every day, but we just don’t live in the same house with cameras watching every move.”

    Reacting to Don Jazzy’s tweet, netizens  asserted that being in the same house and doing it is the problem.

    Don Jazzy married Michelle Jackson in 2003.

     

    He claims they both had issues as a result of his ambitious nature and subsequently divorced about two years after they wed.

     

    However, Don Jazzy does not plan to marry again soon because he fears his love and dedication to music will hurt someone’s feelings again.

     

    The record producer has a younger brother, D’Prince.

     

    In July 2022, he announced the death of his mother via his Instagram page.

    In 2004, Don Jazzy collaborated with D’Banj to form Mo’ Hits Records.

     

    In the next two years, Don Jazzy produced the albums No Long Thing and Rundown/Funk You Up.

     

    Around this time, Don Jazzy developed a recognizable introduction, “It’s Don Jazzy Again!”.

     

    In 2008, Don Jazzy was credited in the production of The Entertainer by D’Banj.

     

    He also contributed to the production of Wande Coal’s Mushin 2 MoHits, an album that was described as one of the best albums to ever come out of Nigeria.

     

    Although Don Jazzy did not take credit as a singer, he performed background vocals for artists he produced. These performances include vocals for D’Banj, Sauce Kid, Dr SID, Ikechukwu, Kween, D’Prince.

     

    In 2011, Don Jazzy was employed by Kanye West as a producer at Very Good Beatz.

     

    Don Jazzy worked with Jay-Z and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé on the album Watch The Throne which was released on 8 August 2011.

     

    In March 2012, Don Jazzy and D’Banj confirmed their breakup citing artistic differences.

     

    Mavin Records

    On 7 May 2012, Don Jazzy announced a new record label, Mavin Records.

     

    He said, “I see Mavin Records being the power house of Music in Africa in the shortest possible time.”

     

    On 8 May 2012, he released an album featuring the artists signed to his label.

     

    The songs on the album included: AmarachiForeverOma GaTake Banana and ChocolateYOLO and the anthem I’m a MAVIN.

     

    Mavin records signed the vocalist, Tiwa Savage.

     

    Don jazzy built a social network platform called “Marvin League” to complement and market his label.

     

    On 5 November 2013, he had a conflict with an artist, Wande Coal who left the label two days later.

     

    In September 2014, Ajereh produced a Nigerian social activist song with Reekado Banks and Di’Ja called Arise.

     

    At the Headies Awards 2015, Ajereh argued with Olamide.

     

    The two disagreed about who should have won the “Next Rated” award. Lil Kesh of YBNL records lost to Reekado Banks, Ajereh’s artist.

     

    The winner of the award received a car. Apologies on both sides were posted afterwards.

     

    After Reekado Banks departure from the Mavin Records label, Don Jazzy said he is still part of the family and wished him nothing but success in his career as he thanked him for the time spent with Mavin Records.

     

    In 2019, he signed Rema and later went on in 2020 to sign Ayra Starr into Mavins Record Label. In 2021, he announced a new artist, Magixx.

    Don Jazzy-led Mavin Records, also known as the Supreme Mavin Dynasty, has been honoured as the fastest-growing entertainment brand in the entertainment category in Africa.

     

    TheNewsGuru.com reports that the record label, which was founded on 8 May 2012, was honoured with the award at the 2022 edition of the Global Brands award organised by Global Brand Magazine.

     

    Mavin Records, listed among other winners in the current edition of the magazine, was honoured in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the growth of the entertainment industry in Nigeria and Africa.

     

    This marks the second time in a row that the company will be winning the award.

     

    On the choice of Mavin Records for the entertainment category, the award organisers said in a statement that the jury was highly impressed with the quality of Mavin’s contribution and impact on the growth of the entertainment industry in Africa.

    It was alleged that Mavin Records signed producers Aluko “Altims” Timothy and Sunday “BabyFresh” Enejere.

     

    On 7 May 2012, the record label launched its official website and the Mavin league, a social networking site designed to cater to its fans worldwide.

     

    Don Jazzy signed endorsement deals with Samsung and Loya Milk after establishing the label; Tiwa Savage also signed an endorsement deal with Pepsi. Within a year of becoming a revamped brand, the record label released “Take Banana” and “Oma Ga” as singles from its debut compilation album Solar Plexus.

     

    In February 2014, Don Jazzy signed Di’Ja, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello to Mavin Records a week after each other.

     

    On 1 May 2014, Mavin Records released the hit single “Dorobucci” to critical acclaim. On 25 February 2015, Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage both signed endorsement deals with Konga.com. On 31 October 2016, several media outlets in Nigeria reported that Iyanya signed a record deal with Mavin Records. Both Iyanya and Don Jazzy confirmed the report on Instagram.

     

    On 28 February 2017, Don Jazzy announced the signings of Johnny Drille, Ladipoe and DNA to Mavin Records. In March 2019, he also announced the signing of Rema to Mavin. On 31 May, Mavin unveiled the signing of Crayon.

     

    The next day, the record label released the collaborative single “All is in Order”. On 21 January 2021, the label unveiled the signing of Ayra Starr, an 18-year-old female, Afropop singer.

    Nigerian record producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy has said he has learned in a hard way how it feels like to lose a loved one.

    Don Jazzy stated this on Sunday while apologizing to his friends and associates who lost loved ones and do not think he was there enough for them.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the Mavin Records boss recently lost his mother, Mrs Ajereh, fondly referred to as Indiana Picolo, after a 1-year battle with cancer.

    “Experience is truly the best teacher. Before I thank everyone for their calls, visits and messages, I need to first apologize to my friends and associates who lost loved ones and don’t think I was there enough for them. I know better now and sadly, I had to learn the hard way.

    “Thank you everyone for your support over the last few days. It has meant the world to me. Funeral details will be shared once finalized. We will also share links so you can join us remotely from wherever you are. Thank you again guys,” Don Jazzy wrote.

    TNG reports Don Jazzy had in an Instagram post announcing the death of his mother described Mrs Ajereh as his support and backbone.

    He disclosed that Indiana Picolo was so strong till the last minute even while she battled the cancer.

    The post reads: “I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo.

    “I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her.

    “She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer.

    Nigerian music singer and producer  Michael Ajereh, famously known as Don Jazzy is bereaved.

    The ebony artiste took to his Instagram page to announce the passing of his mum, Mrs. Ajereh on Friday night.

    According to the music producer, the deceased died on Friday morning after a long battle with cancer.

    Don Jazzy described his late mother as his backbone and supporter and shared the sad development with his fans on his Facebook page.

    The Marvin boss described his late mum as a supporter and backbone.

    “I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo.

    “I am beyond devastated. I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her,” he wrote.

    While revealing the cause of her death as cancer, Don Jazzy eulogized his mother for being strong even while she was battling the deadly disease.

    “She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer. “

    He, however, urged his fans to join his family in prayers during this tough phase of their lives.

    “I have never typed a more difficult caption in my life. Please pray for our mum’s soul to rest in peace and for strength for my dad, my siblings, her grandchildren, and our entire family to bear this loss.”

    Narrating her side of the story, the mother of two (Korra) denied being a chronic cheat, explaining that her ex-husband subjected her to physical and emotional abuse which led to her losing a pregnancy after she told him about her affair.
