    Don Jazzy donates N100k to elderly woman who offered sex for N500

    Nigerian music producer, Don Jazzy has gifted an elderly woman N100,000 after she had offered sex to any man who could give her N500 to feed herself and her children.
    TheNewsGuru recalls that Kolawale Atanda Adejojo, a journalist, had shared a moving video of the aged woman making this demand in Igbore, Abeokuta, Ogun state, on his Instagram page.

    In the short clip, a man can be heard in the background talking to her in Yoruba dialect as he asked her what she intends doing. She answered, saying she is willing to sleep with any man who gives her N500 to get food for her children.
    “You said if you’re hungry, you would do what?,” the man asked. “I will sleep with a man,” she replied.
    “Are you still sexually active?,” he prodded further. “Yes I am, I still have a vagina,” she answered.
    “You said you will do this for how much?,” he asked again. “I will sleep with any man that can give me N500 to feed myself and my children, look at them over there, they have not eaten this morning,” she replied.
    “So you will let a man sleep with you?,” he asked once more. “Yes, it is better than stealing isn’t it?” she retorted.

    Kolawole also posted a video in which the woman confirmed she had received the money. She also expressed her gratitude to the music producer through thanksgiving and prayers.

    Nigerian dancehall crooner, Patrick Okorie better known as Patoranking has urged his colleagues and other celebrities to take their ‘giveaway’ gestures off the social media platforms and reach-out directly to impoverished Nigerians.

    The versatile singer made the call in a tweet he shared on Wednesday, adding that the needy who do not have social media accounts were the most disadvantaged people amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

    He wrote: “Instead make we artist come together and contribute money to support people, Those once wey no Dey online Oo.

    “Wey understand wetin giveaway mean (people for slums and ghetto) wey Dey disadvantaged due to this Covid-19 Lockdown, una Dey here Dey talk about this Vs This, Wise up.”

    ‘Giveaway’, is now trendy term on social media, depicting a humanitarian stimulus package to cushion the economic effect of the COVID-19 lockdown on ordinary citizens.

    Many Nigerian celebrities are now sending ‘giveaways’ in form of money or data to fans so that they can stock up their homes with foodstuffs as they observe the stay- at -home order.

    In the past few days, some celebrities who have been involved in the social media ‘giveaways’ spree included Peruzzi, Toyin Abraham, Yemi Alade, Don Jazzy, Runtown and DJ Kaywise, among others.

    Popular Nigerian record label boss and music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has slammed Nigerian leaders over their inability to travel abroad for medical treatment as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

     

    Several countries across the globe have restricted flights for people as part of steps aimed at combating the spread of coronavirus.

     

    TheNewsGuru reports that Nigeria has 42 confirmed cases of the killer virus as at Tuesday(24th of March), out of which two persons have recovered while one death was documented.
    Expressing his opinion on the pandemic, Don Jazzy said the present situation has forced everyone to make do with the available health facilities in the country.
    “Build hospital build hospital you’ll not hear. Now you can not go abroad,” he wrote in mixture of pidgin and English on Twitter.

     

    In a recent interview, Don Jazzy noted that artistes don’t do shows again because of the state of insecurity in the country.
    “Something has been troubling over the last three years and that has to do with insecurity in the country. Lots of people used to say we earn mostly from shows back in the days,” he said.
    “Nowadays, we don’t do as many shows as we do before because of security reasons, you know the whole killing in the north; kidnapping started affecting our gigs.
    “I remember days with DBanj when you get up one day and tour the country. Now, people are just keeping it to Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and a few other states because of the security problem.
    “If the government can help us fix this, touring will be easier. People like Tuface, Psquare, and Dbanj became great entertainers because of the of shows they staged around the country.”

    Nigerian music producer and record label boss has averred that insecurity in the country has affected showbiz earning and made touring difficult.

    The 37-year-old singer disclosed this while speaking with HipTV on industry dynamics.

    According to him, shows within the country have always been a major income source for artistes but that changed after security concerns became an issue to consider in the choice of cities to tour.

    This, he said, was why some artistes have stuck to touring mostly Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.

    Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has set tongues wagging again as she shared sultry swimsuit poolside photos of herself on Friday.

    The pop singer, born in Isale Eko, rocked a two-piece Fendi bikini to give her haters a show.

    “No one watches you more than your haters, make sure you give them a show,” Tiwa captioned one of the pictures.

    Reacting to the comment by Tiwa, Nigerian record producer and founder of Mavins Record Don Jazzy said: “Me I’m watching this show.”

    Another singer known as Praiz added: “We want a female President. Tiwa for president.”

    Michael Collins Ajereh better known as Don Jazzy has said he is not living his best life.

    The revered music producer and entrepreneur made this comment against the backdrop of the state of the Nigerian economy.

    Don Jazzy also stated that as a country, we are not living our best life in Nigeria.

    He wrote on Twitter: “We are not living our best life in Nigeria. I’m not living my best life. You will have money sef and you will just be seeing people suffering and your money no go sweet you spend. Our standard of living in Naij is sad o ahhhh. It’s not fair. No matter the amount of money you have. You will still ball mediocre balling in that Nigeria”

    Earlier in September, the award winning entertainer said he has never owed his staff at Mavin Records salary.

    Controversial singer, Dencia has slammed Don Jazzy over his comment prior to the announcement of Mercy as the winner of the 2019 edition of the Big Brother Naija Reality Show.

    The music producer had earlier linked Mercy’s win to ‘bottom power,’ a claim Dencia sees as the objectification of women.

    Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy on September 24, 2018, quit smoking after indulging in the habit for several years.
    A year after quitting his smoking habit, Don Jazzy took to his Twitter to announce that he has kept to his promise. “Today makes it one year since I quit smoking. Clap for me pls ? hehe,” he tweeted.
    When a fan asked how he was able to quit smoking and not return to the habit, Don Jazzy responded writing, “I just stopped like that o. Cold turkey. Tho I started overeating sha. After like 2 months you will be aiight.”

     

    In the same vein, Davido has also vowed to stop smoking hours after Don Jazzy marked one year of not smoking.
    The singer arrived at the city of Los Angeles, California in the United States of America when he made the announcement.

     

    On his Instagram stories published on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, Davido posted a short video of himself holding a pack of Malboro cigarettes with the caption, ‘Quitting soon’.

    Micheal Ajereh a.k.a Don Jazzy has slammed the Federal government over the disparity between the budget of the National Assembly and that of the education sector.
    Don Jazzy stated that the allocation for the National Assembly in Nigeria is ludicrous.

     

    The music mogul made this known on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, while reacting to a post shared on Twitter by a popular statistics page, BudgITng.

     

    BudgITng had shared a post about the large disparity between the National Assembly budget and that of the education ministry.
    “Thanks @BudgITngThere are 469 legislative seats in the National Assembly. Can someone make me understand why these legislators need many aides to work for them and why they should be on the govt’s payroll? How long should we continue spending on inessentials? #Voiceofthedon,” Don Jazzy tweeted.

     

     

    It didn’t end there as he went on to condemn the federal government over its failure in to improve the educational system because of the position of Nigerian universities in rankings of top schools in Africa.
    “That’s the reason why Nigerian universities are not even amongst Africa top 10. Our giant of Africa na mouth,” he added.

    Sowore has been accused of treason, money laundering and cyberstalking President Buhari.
