U.S. proposes $1.01 trn defence budget for 2026

U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed a $1.01 trillion national defence budget request for fiscal year 2026.

The U.S. Department of Defence said the request represented a 13.4 per cent increase from fiscal year 2025.

The budget includes $848.3 billion for the discretionary budget and $113.3 billion in mandatory funding through congressional reconciliation.

The department said “this historic defence budget prioritises strengthening homeland security” and “deterring Chinese aggression in the Indo-Pacific.”

It stated that the budget also prioritised “revitalising the defence industrial base and maintaining our commitment to being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.”

The department added that the 113 billion dollars in mandatory reconciliation funding would address the president’s priorities.

These include shipbuilding, missile defence, munitions production and quality-of-life initiatives for the nation’s warfighters.

Divided across the department, the proposed budget breaks down to 197.4 billion dollars for the Army, 292.2 billion dollars for the Navy, 301.1 billion dollars for the Air Force and 170.9 billion dollars defensewide.

In addition to materials (military materials and equipment), the budget also addressed military readiness and training, as well as quality-of-life improvements for service members and their families.

“At nearly 160 billion dollars, the FY26 budget request funds DOD readiness to a historic high to meet the planned employment of forces,” the department said.

It added that the budget also included a 3.8 per cent pay raise and a five billion dollars investment in unaccompanied housing for service members.

The proposal also recommended some notable reductions, including the department’s cancellation of its E-7 Wedgetail early warning and control aircraft programme due to what it described as “survivability concerns in a contested environment.”

The department also stated the budget recommendations included reducing procurement of the F-35 Lightning II stealth strike fighter from 74 to 47 aircraft.

At the same time, increased funding would go toward modernisation of the jet’s capabilities.

In addition, roughly one billion dollars was allocated for investment in spare parts to address the F-35’s sustainment and readiness challenges.

Trump clashes with intel community over U.S. airstrikes on Iran

President Donald Trump’s longstanding tensions with the U.S. intelligence community are resurfacing, this time over conflicting assessments of the impact of recent American airstrikes on Iran.

An early intelligence assessment concluded that Iran’s nuclear programme was only set back by a few months following last weekend’s strikes on three sites.

Trump, however, publicly rejected the findings, insisting that the programme was “completely and fully obliterated.”

The disagreement has set the stage for another high-profile standoff.

Top administration officials are expected to press Trump’s narrative at a Pentagon news conference on Thursday.

Meanwhile, briefings for lawmakers on Capitol Hill had been scheduled, though the White House reportedly planned to limit the disclosure of classified information following a leak of the initial assessment.

“Intelligence people strive to live in a world as it is, describe the world as it is,” said Larry Pfeiffer, a 32-year intelligence veteran and former CIA chief of staff.

“Politicians are all about describing the world as they want it to be,” he added.

With the dispute now spilling into public view, it mirrors the broader pattern of Trump’s first term, where his foreign policy assertions often clashed with intelligence analysis, particularly during the Russia investigation.

  • What’d have happened if we didn’t attack Iran’s nuclear sites – Trump

What’d have happened if we didn’t attack Iran’s nuclear sites – Trump

President Donald Trump has said if the United States had not destroyed Iran’s key nuclear facilities, there “would still be fighting right now” between Israel and the Islamic nation.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports President Trump to have said this on Wednesday on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague.

The U.S. President compared Washington’s recent strikes on Iran to the 1945 bombings of Japan’s Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“I do not want to use an example of Nagasaki, but that was essentially the same thing that ended that war. This ended the Israel-Iran war. If we did not take that out, they would still be fighting right now”.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated on June 13, when Israel launched a large-scale operation against Iran, accusing it of implementing a secret military nuclear programme.

Tehran retaliated by launching Operation “True Promise III’’, hitting military targets inside Israel.

On June 22, the U.S. struck three Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, joining Israel’s campaign against Iran.

Trump said after the attack that Tehran “must now agree to end this war’’ or face far more serious consequences.

On Monday, Iran launched a missile strike on the U.S.’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in response to the U.S. attack.

The strike resulted in zero casualties, as all the missiles apart from one were intercepted.

Trump said late on Monday that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire.

On Tuesday, Trump said that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel was now in effect.
Iran denied the military dimension of its nuclear program.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has not seen concrete evidence that Iran has an active nuclear weapons programme, Director-General Rafael Grossi said on June 18.

In August 1945, the U.S. dropped nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The explosions and their aftermath killed 140,000 of the 350,000 people in Hiroshima and 74,000 in Nagasaki.

The vast majority of the victims of the atomic bombings were civilians.

Israel-Iran ceasefire: Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

U.S. President Donald Trump has been nominated for Nobel Peace Prize over his role in brokering peace between Israel and Iran.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports U.S. representative for Georgia’s 1st congressional district, Rep. Buddy Carter wrote to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee to nominate Trump.

Recall that Israel and Iran had engaged in hostilities after Israel first launched preemptive missiles on the Islamic nation. Following Iran’s retaliation, hostilities started.

However, Trump declared on Monday that ceasefire has been agreed upon. This did not come without the U.S. obliterating key Iran’s nuclear sites.

“Israel is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly “Plane Wave” to Iran.

“Nobody will be hurt, the ceasefire is in effect. Iran will never rebuild their nuclear facilities,” Trump declared.

Writing the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Rep. Carter stressed that Trump had an “extraordinary and historic role” in having ended “the armed conflict between Israel and Iran.

Carter stated that Trump’s leadership through the crisis exemplifies the very ideals that the Nobel Peace Prize seeks to recognize: the pursuit of peace, the prevention of war, and the advancement of international harmony.

“President Trump’s influence was instrumental in forging a swift agreement that many believed to be impossible. President Trump also took bold, decisive actions to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions and ensure that the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism remains incapable of acquiring a nuclear weapon.

“In a region plagued by historical animosity and political volatility, such a breakthrough demands both courage and clarity. President Trump demonstrated both, offering the world a rare glimpse of hope.

“For these reasons, I respectfully submit this nomination for Donald J. Trump, 47th President of the United States, to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize,” Carter wrote in his letter.

TNG reports this would not be the first time President Trump would be nominated for Nobel Peace Prize, though he has not won it.

Meanwhile, according to the Nobel Prize website, there have been 338 candidates nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize so far. This year’s Nobel Prize announcements will take place 6-13 October.

U.S. attacks on Iran: Trump fumes as impeachment axe dangles

President Donald Trump has fired shots at US representative for New York’s 14th congressional district, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has called for his impeachment.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Alexandria, popularly known as AOC, called for the impeachment of Trump after the U.S. President ordered attacks on three of Iran’s nuclear sites, following hostilities with Israel.

“Stupid AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the “dumbest” people in Congress, is now calling for my impeachment, despite the fact that the crooked and corrupt Democrats have already done that twice before,” Trump blasted.

Recall Alexandria faulted Trump and described his decision to attack the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites in Iran as “disastrous”.

TNG reports the US Congresswoman argued that Trump acted impulsively in grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers, adding: “it is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment”.

Reacting in a post via Truth Social on Tuesday, ceasefire between Israel and Iran, Trump declared that Alexandria should be forced to take a cognitive test at Walter Reed Medical Center.

The US President wrote: “Stupid AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the “dumbest” people in Congress, is now calling for my Impeachment, despite the fact that the Crooked and Corrupt Democrats have already done that twice before.

“The reason for her “rantings” is all of the Victories that the U.S.A. has had under the Trump Administration. The Democrats aren’t used to WINNING, and she can’t stand the concept of our Country being successful again.

“When we examine her Test Scores, we will find out that she is NOT qualified for office but, nevertheless, far more qualified than Crockett, who is a seriously Low IQ individual, or Ilhan Omar, who does nothing but complain about our Country, yet the Failed Country that she comes from doesn’t have a Government, is drenched in Crime and Poverty, and is rated one of the WORST in the World, if it’s even rated at all.

“How dare “The Mouse” tells us how to run the United States of America! We’re just now coming back from that Radical Left experiment with Sleepy Joe, Kamala, and “THE AUTOPEN,” in charge. What a disaster it was!

“AOC should be forced to take the Cognitive Test that I just completed at Walter Reed Medical Center, as part of my Physical. As the Doctor in charge said, “President Trump ACED it,” meaning, I got every answer right.

“Instead of her constant complaining, Alexandria should go back home to Queens, where I was also brought up, and straighten out her filthy, disgusting, crime ridden streets, in the District she “represents,” and which she never goes to anymore.

“She better start worrying about her own Primary, before she thinks about beating our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, whose career is definitely on very thin ice!

“She and her Democrat friends have just hit the Lowest Poll Numbers in Congressional History, so go ahead and try Impeaching me, again, MAKE MY DAY!”.

  • Uncertainty as Trump announces Iran-Israel ceasefire

Uncertainty as Trump announces Iran-Israel ceasefire

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Iran and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire after cloae to two weeks of violent conflict between the two countries.

Trump took to his Truth Social on Monday evening to announce that both countries had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire”.

According to him, the ceasefire agreement is expected to take effect at 12 midnight local time but both Iran and Israel are yet to confirm any definite ceasefire agreement.

However, Iran said its military operations “to punish Israel for its aggression continued until the very last minute, at 4am.”

Trump wrote: “Congratulations to everyone! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total ceasefire”.

Trump said the ceasefire will begin “in approximately six hours from now” after each country has “wound down” their military operations and “the war will be considered ended”.

Trump announced that “officially, Iran will start the ceasefire and, upon the 12th hour, Israel will start the ceasefire”.

He added that “by the 24th hour, an official end to the 12 day war will be saluted by the world”.

The U.S. leader congratulated both countries for the courage to end the disastrous conflict.

“During each ceasefire, the other side will remain peaceful and respectful,” Trump wrote.

“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries.

“Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, “the 12 day war”.”

He stressed that the war could have destroyed the Middle East if allowed to persist.

“This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!

“God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and God bless the world!” Trump concluded.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Araghchi, in his response, said, “As of now, there is NO “agreement” on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations.

“However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”

Guterres condemns Iran attack on U.S. airbase in Qatar, Trump confirms attack

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned Iran’s missile attack on the U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday.

The Spokesperson to the Secretary-General said in a statement that Guterres was “deeply alarmed” by the further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

This is just as Trump confirmed that Iran had launched missiles at the American military base in Qatar in retaliation for the U.S. bombing of three of its nuclear facilities on Saturday.

Iran reportedly fired several missiles at Al Udeid Air Base, where some 10,000 troops are reportedly stationed.

All but one were intercepted by Qatar and no casualties were reported, according to reports.

The development marked the latest step in more than a week of missile strikes between Iran and Israel, and the situation has escalated with U.S. involvement.

“From the outset of the crisis, the Secretary-General has repeatedly condemned any military escalation in this conflict, including today’s attack by Iran on the territory of Qatar.

“He further reiterates his call on all parties to stop fighting,” the statement said.

The UN chief urged all Member States to uphold their obligations under the UN Charter and other rules of international law.

Trump took to Truth Social on Monday to confirm that Iran launched 14 missiles at the U.S. bases in response to the U.S. strike.

“Iran has officially responded to our Obliteration of their Nuclear Facilities with a very weak response, which we expected, and have very effectively countered,” he said.

“There have been 14 missiles fired – 13 were knocked down, and one was “set free,” because it was headed in a nonthreatening direction.

“I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed, and hardly any damage was done.”

Trump also hinted that Iran gave the U.S. an advanced notice of the missile attack.

“Most importantly, they’ve gotten it all out of their “system,” and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE.

“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured,” he said.

The U.S. leader advised both Iran and Israel to work for a ceasefire and allow peace in the Middle East.

“Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same,” the American leader said.

  • Future attacks will be far greater – Trump warns Iran after bombing nuclear sites

Future attacks will be far greater – Trump warns Iran after bombing nuclear sites

After coordinating attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that future attacks will be far greater if the Islamic nation should fail to pursue peace.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the U.S. bombed three nuclear sites in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan on Saturday while warning against retaliation.

Shortly after, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the attack on the three nuclear facilities “will have everlasting consequences”.

However, Trump has now warned that Iran, he described as “the bully of the Middle East”, must now make peace, adding that if they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.

“A short time ago, the U.S. military carried out massive precision strikes on the 3k nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

“Everybody heard those names for years as they built these horribly destructive enterprise. Our objective was destruction on Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.

“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.

“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.

“For forty years, Iran has been saying, death to America, death to Israel. They have been killing our people blowing off their arms, blowing off their legs with roadside bombs. That was their specialty.

“We lost over a thousand of people and hundreds of thousands throughout the Middle East and around the world have died as a direct result of their hate.

“In particular, so many were killed by their General, Qasem Soleimani. I decided a long ago that I would not let this happen. It will not continue,” he said.

Speaking in a televised broadcast monitored by TNG, Trump stressed that there are many targets left and that tonight’s was the most difficult of them all by far and perhaps the most lethal, adding that if peace does not come quickly, the U.S. will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill.

“I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We worked like a team like perhaps no team has ever worked be fore. We have gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel.

“I want to thank the Israeli military for the wonderful job they have done, and most importantly I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many decades.

“Hopefully, we will no longer need their services in this capacity. I hope that’s so. I also want to congratulate the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Razin Caine, spectacular General and all of the military minds involved in this attack.

“With all of that being said, we cannot continue. There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed in the last eight days.

“Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight’s was the most difficult of them all by far and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill.

“Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes. There is no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight. Not even close. There has never been a military that could do what took place just a little while ago,” Trump said.

UN chief ‘alarmed’ by U.S. bombings in Iran

Meanwhile, United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres has condemned the United States’ use of force against Iran, saying he is alarmed by the action.

Guterres, in a statement on Saturday night shortly after Trump announced U.S. strike on three nuclear sites in Iran, said the action was a dangerous escalation in the Middle East.

U.S. President Donald Trump had said on Saturday night that the U.S. military had bombed Fordow, Iran’s heavily fortified nuclear facility as well as two other sites, Natanz and Esfahan.

“I am gravely alarmed by the use of force by the United States against Iran today. This is a dangerous escalation in a region already on the edge – and a direct threat to international peace and security.

“There is a growing risk that this conflict could rapidly get out of control – with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world,” Guterres said.

The UN chief called on member states to de-escalate and to uphold their obligations under the UN Charter and other rules of international law.

“At this perilous hour, it is critical to avoid a spiral of chaos. There is no military solution. The only path forward is diplomacy. The only hope is peace,” the UN scribe said.

Iran’s nuclear sites attack: Israel happy but U.S. lawmaker calls for Trump’s impeachment

US Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has said President Donald Trump committed an impeachable offence by his “disastrous decision” to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ocasio-Cortez to have said Trump carried out the US attack on the nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan without authorization, and thus violated the Constitution and Congressional War Powers.

“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment,” the US Congresswoman wrote on X.

Trump’s decision bold, will change history – Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu

Meanwhile, following the U.S. attack on Iran’s three nuclear sites, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has described President Trump’s decision as bold.

In a televised broadcast, Netanyahu said Israel has done “truly amazing things” since hostilities started but that with Trump’s action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, the U.S. has done what no other country on earth could do.

“Congratulations President Donald Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities with awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history.

“In Operation Rising Lion, Israel has done truly amazing things. But in tonight’s action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, America has been truly unsurpassed. It has done what no other country on earth could do.

“History will record that President Trump acted to deny the world’s most dangerous regime, the world’s most dangerous weapons. His leadership today, has created a pivot of history that can help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace.

“President Trump and I often say, “peace through strength”. First comes strength, then comes peace. Tonight, President Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.

“President Trump, I thank you, the people of Israel thank you, the forces of civilisation thank you. God bless America, God bless Israel, and may God bless our unshakeable alliance and our unbreakable faith,” Netanyahu in the broadcast.

Meanwhile, in a post on X, addressing Israelis, the Prime Minister noted that Iran’s nuclear program threatens Israel’s very existence and also endangered the peace of the entire world.

He confirmed to have spoken with President Trump after the U.S. bombing of the Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

“Dear citizens of Israel, my brothers and sisters. In Operation ‘Am Kalavi’, we achieved unprecedented achievements together in Israeli history.

“You remember that from the beginning of the operation, I promised you that Iran’s nuclear facilities would be destroyed, one way or another. This promise was fulfilled.

“A short time ago, in full coordination between me and President Trump, and in full operational coordination between the IDF and the United States military, the United States attacked Iran’s three nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

“In doing so, the United States continued, with greater intensity and with great force, the attacks of the IDF and the Mossad on Iran’s nuclear program. This program threatened our very existence and also endangered the peace of the entire world.

“Immediately after the operation was completed, President Trump called me. It was a very warm, very moving conversation. He blessed me, he blessed our army and he blessed our people. And I congratulated him, the United States pilots, and the American people.

“President Trump is a strong leader of the free world. He is a great friend of Israel, a friend like no other. In my name and on behalf of all the citizens of Israel, on behalf of the entire Jewish people, I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

“And I know, citizens of Israel, that I speak from the bottom of each and every one of your hearts. We stand together, We fight together, And with God’s help – we win together. As the verse says, “We will ascend, for we can overcome them,” Netanyahu wrote.

  • U.S. bombs Iran’s nuclear sites; Trump warns against retaliation

U.S. bombs Iran’s nuclear sites; Trump warns against retaliation

U.S. President Donald Trump has disclosed that the United States has carried out “very successful attack” on three nuclear sites in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports President Trump disclosed this via Truth Social while warning that “any retaliation by Iran against the United States of America will be met with force far greater than what was witnessed tonight”.

Trump in posts on the social media platform on Saturday described the attack on the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear sites as historic for the USA, Israel and the world, adding that Iran must now agree to end the war.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

“All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.

“Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is not another military in the world that could have done this. Now is the time for peace,” Trump wrote.

Sources said the United States Air Force used 6 Northrop B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to drop 12 bunker-buster bombs, that is 360,000 lbs, on the Fordow Nuclear Facility, obliterating the entire nuclear capability.

TNG reports this is coming after hostilities broke out between Israel and Iran on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on several sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.

The Israel versus Iran crisis has led to fatalities running into hundreds as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday warned that the U.S. participation in Israel’s ongoing attacks on Iran would be “very unfortunate” and “extremely dangerous for everyone.”

Also, the United Nations’ Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had warned that the ongoing violent conflict between Iran and Israel is “a fire no one can control” and risks spiralling out of control.

UN nuclear chief gives grave warnings on Iran’s nuclear safety

Recall that the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had earlier released the most alarming update on the ongoing Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

IAEA Director General, Rafael Grossi, on Friday warned the UN Security Council that Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities were degrading critical safety systems and placing millions at potential radiological risk.

Grossi said at Natanz, the destruction of electricity infrastructure and direct strikes on enrichment halls had led to internal contamination.

Grossi said while no radiological release has been detected outside the facility, warned that uranium compounds now posed significant health hazards within.

At Isfahan, the UN nuclear watchdog boss said multiple buildings including a uranium conversion plant and a metal processing facility, were hit.

At Arak’s Khondab reactor site, he said that damage was sustained, though the facility was not operational.

The greatest risk, however, he said, is the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, which remains operational.

Grossi warned that a direct strike “could result in a high release of radioactivity to the environment.”

He stressed that even a disruption of its external power supply could lead to a core meltdown.

In the worst-case scenario, radiation would affect populations hundreds of kilometres away and require mass evacuations, he warned.

Grossi also warned against any attack on the Tehran Nuclear Research Reactor, which could endanger millions in the capital.

“Nuclear facilities and material must not be shrouded by the fog of war,” he said. We must maintain communication, transparency and restraint,” the IAEA chief stressed.

Grossi pledged that the IAEA would continue to monitor and report on nuclear safety conditions in Iran and reiterated his readiness to mediate.

He stressed that the agency “can guarantee, through a watertight inspections system,” that nuclear weapons will not be developed in Iran, urging dialogue.

“The alternative is a protracted conflict and a looming nuclear threat that would erode the global non-proliferation regime,” he stressed.

  • We will not take out Iran’s Supreme Leader yet – Trump

We will not take out Iran’s Supreme Leader yet – Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump has said the whereabouts of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is well-known and that he will not be taken out just yet.

President Trump said this on Tuesday via Truth Social while calling on Iran to surrender unconditionally in the ongoing tensions between Israel and the Islamic nation.

“We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.

“But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump wrote.

Earlier, the U.S. President wrote on Truth Social that the skies over Iran have been taken over totally while bragging over military might.

Trump wrote: “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA”.

Recall that over the weekend, Iran’s Supreme Leader appointed new military commanders following the deaths of key security officials in Israeli airstrikes on Tehran.

The appointments come after Israel launched a wave of airstrikes early Friday targeting Tehran and other Iranian cities.

The strikes killed Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Hossein Salami, and Gholam-Ali Rashid, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the report said.

Khamenei named Abdolrahim Mousavi as the new chief of staff of the armed forces, Mohammad Pakpour as the IRGC’s new commander, and Ali Shadmani to lead the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

Before their appointments, Mousavi headed the regular army, Pakpour commanded the IRGC’s Ground Force, and Shadmani served as deputy coordinator at Khatam al-Anbiya.

In addition to the top military leaders, the Israeli strikes also killed six Iranian nuclear scientists, including Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi and Fereydoun Abbasi, as well as an unspecified number of civilians, the report added.

In a statement, Khamenei condemned the attacks, warning that Israel would face “severe punishment” for what he called a crime against Iran.

Meanwhile, Shadmani appointed to lead the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters was killed on Tuesday in an overnight airstrike on the command centre in central Tehran.

The strike was carried out by the Israeli Air Force following  “precise intelligence and a sudden opportunity,” the military said in a statement.

Shadmani, is described by the Israeli military as the top operational commander of the Iranian armed forces and a close associate of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He had commanded both the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian army.

He was appointed to lead Iran’s armed forces at the start of the ongoing five-day warfare after Israel assassinated his predecessor, Alaa Ali Rashid, in an earlier strike that started the current fighting.
