    I didn’t numb the pain – Dunsin Oyekan speaks on coping with wife’s death

    Dunsin Oyekan, a Nigerian Gospel singer has taken to social media to open up about how he has coped with the loss of his wife Adedoyin, six years after her death.

    The 40-year-old via his verified Instagram on Sunday, shared a touching message to mark the anniversary. The prominent gospel singer reflected on his healing journey and how his faith kept him grounded.

    “Six years today!! God is good,” he wrote.

    “Most people wondered how I survived. I didn’t numb the pain, I channeled it!” he said.

    “I found closure in the Presence of God, understood from God’s perspective, accepted His sovereignty and found joy in His presence!

    “That’s the path of Life…

    “6 years after, with tears of joy, all I still have to say is GOD IS GOOD!”

    Adedoyin, wife of the Oyekan passed away on May 18, 2019, after a brief illness.

    The couple had two children together.

    Nigerian gospel musician, Dunsin Oyekan explains why he doesn’t charge to perform his songs at events.

    The musician was briefly interviewed by the content creator Timi Agbaje who asked him how he gets into the right mood before singing.

    The interviewer, Timi Agbaje called Dunsin Oyekan’s attention to how come secular musicians get into the right mood by getting high on alcohol.

    Dunsin Oyekan noted that for him to get into the right frame of mind to do music, he prays and try to get into the spirit by speaking in tongues.

    When asked whether a gospel artist should charge for performing at an event, Dunsin Oyekan stated that it depends on the consecration of the musician.

    According to Dunsin, for some their consecration lets them charge; however, he doesn’t because of his own consecration.

    Dunsin maintained that he doesn’t charge to perform at events but the Lord continues to bless him.

    Gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan survives terrible auto crash

    Gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan and his crew were on Saturday involved in a terrible auto crash on their way to Oyo State.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the accident occurred on their way from Lagos State to a church ministration at Sword of the Spirit Ministries of Bishop Francis Wale Oke for the Holy Ghost Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

    It was gathered that a crew member suffered slight injuries, but everyone survived the terrible accident said to have happened on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

    Speaking on the incident while ministering at a church on Saturday night, Dunsin said he took a nap and woke up to realize that the jeep was under a trailer.

    “The devil tried everything not to make me come here today. If you saw the accident scene that I came out of you can never believe that I walked out alive.

    “To think we were coming here, and I said let me sleep a bit so that I can be refreshed for the meeting and the next thing. I just knew we were somewhere, and the jeep had gone under the trailer.

    “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, If you are looking for a miracle, this is a miracle standing here,” he added.
