    I have always been interested in music – Junzy

    Nigerian-Irish singer Ebruba Mideno, also known as Junzy, has disclosed his love for music, noting that it is something he has always been interested in since childhood.

    He made this known in a video interview on October 13, 2023.

    He added that he was a DJ at some point, and it was during that period that he decided to venture into music fully. He also noted that he improved more in his music career when he separated from his group called Raji Music and decided to go solo.

    Junzy is a Nigerian singer, performing artist, and songwriter. He is the second son of Mideno Bayagbon, a publisher, celebrated editor, columnist, publicity guru, and lecturer. He has previously released singles such as “One Chance,” “D Tori,” “Push It,” and “Touchin.”

    Budding Nigerian artiste, Junzy releases new song, “Touchin” [LISTEN]

    Nigerian-born Irish music sensation, Ebruba Mideno, popularly known as Junzy, has released another hit single titled, “Touchin”.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Junzy,  a 22-year-old Nigerian Afrobeat artiste based in Ireland, dropped the hit yesterday, June 2.

    The budding sensational artiste, who in 2022, dropped Push It and One Chance, understands how music uplifts people’s mood and said he wants to do music that makes people feel good.

    “I am 22 years old, I am fun, I am energetic and I have high inspiration for my future. My strong point in music is my performance, my vibe and my energy.

    “I want my music to uplift people’s mood, make them feel good,” Junzy said in an interview with TNG.

    Speaking on the new song, the Irish Nigerian-born Afrobeats artiste said: “My new song is called Touchin.

    “It dropped yesterday on the second of June. The song is about putting your hands up to the ceiling, catching a vibe and just feeling alright.

    “I feel like music has a way of transforming your emotions, your feelings and making you feel good.

    “So, I just wanted to make a song that people could play in the club and party with themselves, catch a vibe and feel good”.

    Junzy also talked about his experience in the music industry and how challenging it could be but stressed he is undeterred.

    He noted that he wants to keep the streams growing on major online music platforms.

    “Releasing music is always an interesting experience, like it’s very challenging but it’s also like very fun and there is a unique feeling to it because you feel very proud of yourself.

    “I just want to keep my music going, keep the streams up, keep the activities up

    “The music industry is kind of difficult to navigate but the main challenge I have is how to put my music in front of new people

    “But I just have to keep giving my fans something to interact with. My music is good and I am working hard to put it out there, in front of new people and get my music to the global stage. I am just going to keep releasing songs,” Junzy said.

    Nigerian-Irish wonderboy, Ebruba Mideno, popularly known as Junzy, has released the video “Push It”, after “One Chance”.

     

    Junzy, who in an interview with TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) noted that Burna boy, Wizkid and Olamide have been his constant inspirations, explained that his hot new single titled “Push It” is an energetic upbeat Afropop song.

     

    In his words: “Push It is an energetic upbeat Afropop song. This song is about remembering the good times you had with someone but also thinking how things could’ve been better. It’s the frustration when their actions don’t match their words.”

    A line in the evocative song says, “you don’t wanna make time but you want to see me more.”

     

    The artist noted that music has always been a part of his life.

     

    In his words: “From a kid I’ve always been interested in learning instruments, drama, choir, dancing etc. as I became older I started to recognize my love, talent and ambitions towards music. I first started off as a DJ but soon realized that I belong in front of the decks and not behind.”

     

    According to him, his biggest regret would be to give up on music.

     

    “I aim to transform music potential into reality. Music is a way of life for me, it’s involved in almost anything I do. My biggest regret would be to give up on music, I aim to transform potential into reality. But with the help of my team and a lot of practice, my sound has developed into the music you hear today,” the Nigerian-Irish wonderboy stated.

    Junzy hailed Nigerian artists in the diaspora for taking the country’s music to other parts of the world.

     

    “I believe this is our time as we’ve never had this much access to potential fans and the music industry. Good music speaks for itself, you cannot deny a good vibe. The rest of the world is just catching up on what we already knew.

     

    “The music industry is at its foundational level and is only really starting to develop. I see myself as a global start, so this doesn’t really affect me,” the Nigerian-Irish wonderboy added.

    Junzy, in an exclusive interview with TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) on Sunday, asserted that his hot new single titled “Push It” is an energetic upbeat Afropop song.

    Asked if he intends to do any “collabo” with Nigerian artists at home, Junzy said. “When I finally come back home, omo it’s work work work. I plan on making great music with great people so anyone taht fit into that category is more than welcome to cook up some music. I plan to network and make good relationships with the people already in the Nigerian industry.”

    The artist, who just graduated from Technological University Dublin (TUD), urged Nigerian politicians to quickly bring to an end the killing of innocent Nigerians by gunmen or kidnappers.

    He called on the politicians to take steps towards bettering the country, stressing that “Nigerians have suffered enough.”

    On what he intends to do in Nigeria upon return, Junzy said: “I plan to set up businesses to help the Nigerian economy and the general living conditions of all members involved. Nigeria is our baby, we need to start properly taking care of it.”

    He opined that Irish music is still developing but thanked his friends, family and people in Dublin for supporting his music career.

    “Combining my West African heritage with my experiences growing up in a diaspora, I bring forth new flavors, insights, and a fresh perspective of life through music,” the artist asserted.
