Reverend father Mbaka speaks on promoting Idol worship

Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry, Enugu has dismissed claims that he is encouraging idol worship.

The clergyman during a weekly service at the Adoration ground in Enugu, explained that he never said the ancestors of Africans were saints.

The fiery preacher while addressing his members said he would never promote idolatry, adding that he believes in only one omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God.

The clergyman stated that his preaching pointed out that some ancestors were falsely accused.

According to him, “A few weeks ago, I was talking about false accusations to our ancestors, don’t misunderstand me, I was not saying our ancestors were all saints.

“I never meant that, and neither did I say the idols they worshipped should be sustained, never. I can never be an apostle for the promotion of idolatry; I have only one omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God.

“Neither did I affirm nor disclaim that the things that are happening in our families have no past background.

“That was not what I said, I was overemphasizing false accusations, we should not over generalize.

“Lord save me, save the Adoration Ministry, save Fr Mbaka. Isaiah 38 verse 20 and God is always ready to save.”

Father Mbaka reveals how his cook tried to poison him

The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has narrated how his erstwhile cook tried to poison him.

Mbaka claimed God revealed the incident to him through a vision.

He said this in a video posted on the ministry’s Facebook page.

The Video was recorded while the cleric was ministering in one of his church programmes.

The fiery cleric said God reveals the future through vision, and people will see it.

He said, ”There was a time I had one cook; I was waiting on the Lord in the temple. I was with the Blessed Sacrament from the night till morning. I wanted to go out, but the Holy Spirit told me it was not yet time.

”It was getting to 6 pm in the evening, and I then wanted to open the Chapel; the Holy Spirit showed me a vision where my cook ran in from a meeting, where they promised him a certain amount of money they would give him if he could put something in my food. They promised him all sorts of things. The Holy Spirit revealed everything that transpired in that meeting up to the time the cook opened the gate.

”The Holy Spirit brought me back to consciousness when he was about to enter the door. I woke up and shouted, ‘Jesus, where is the person I just saw now?’

“The Holy Spirit asked to hold him off before he entered the kitchen.

”The cook greeted me, ‘Father, good evening,’ unlike me, I would have hailed him back. I just stared at him. I asked him, ‘Where are you coming from?’ He muttered.

”Where are you coming from? Where have you been? What did they ask you to do? When are you starting to execute the assignment given to you? When are you going to poison me? I asked him.

”Those words sent shivers down his spine. He knelt and said he was sorry and that it was the devil’s work. He said they promised to pay him only when he completed the assignment.
Then I asked my people to bring out all his belongings and sent him packing. I told him that he couldn’t kill me.”

Fr.Mbaka attacks President Buhari, Emefiele over Nnamdi Kanu, redesigned naira

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka the Charistmatic Catholic Priest of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu  has issued a stern warning to President Muhammadu Buhari over the continuous detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB).

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Fr. Mbaka returned to his Adoration Ministry in January, months after he was suspended and sent to the monastery by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Calistus Onaga.

Fr.Mbaka who has refrained from talking politics since his return from the monastery chose to speak again on Sunday.

The fiery priest, on Sunday, warned Buhari of dire consequences if his government continued to keep Kanu.

He spoke while addressing thousands of his Adoration members.

Mbaka also chastise  the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, over the scarcity of the new naira notes.

Mbaka said if Buhari and Emefiele did not take immediate measures, they would suffer.

He said, “It is only in Nigeria that the court can set somebody free and the government will say ‘No’, keep that person.

“We pray for the full release of Nnamdi Kanu; Ndigbo are suffering for what they know nothing about; students, workers will not go to work; everywhere is locked up on Mondays; our leaders don’t care; it does not concern them; how can you say it does not concern you? But you are a leader; you must care.

“God set someone free and you say the person won’t be free, what God will do to you, you will regret your decision.

“Why the judiciary? There are three arms of government- the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, and one arm will say the other is useless. I ask in the name of God and by the power of the Holy Ghost, that our leaders should release Nnamdi Kanu.

“We cannot be distracted by new currency and fuel scarcity and there is a problem- the judiciary is dying. If the court can acquit someone and the government will say ‘No’, then the country is finished. It is a coup d’etat against the judiciary and as a man of God, I stand to say, release him.

“Do the needful; our people are suffering, a lot of suffering in the country, perpetuated by our so-called leaders; I am not a politician, I am a prophet of God. My job is to speak when God is angry, I will represent the voice of God in anger, when God is happy, I will speak and represent the voice of God in joy. The poor masses are suffering.

“If holding that young man will cripple this country, why not release him; Nnamdi Kanu’s case is like a trigger in the gun; you must be careful how you touch the trigger when a gun is loaded.

“Don’t tell anybody he is a nobody; he represents a people and the court has said release him; why not release him, especially for health reasons?

“I have to render my voice so that when tomorrow the leaders begin to suffer calamity, they will not ask ‘what did Fr. Mbaka say’.”

On the naira swap, he said there was no justification for the sufferings the citizens were going through.

Continuing he said “People will suffer to make money and still suffer to take their money and there is still a country; tomorrow you will say Fr. Mbaka said; why do you force me to say something? I am giving both the President and the CBN governor a mandate from heaven, if they don’t want to react immediately and stop this self-imposed wicked suffering on the people, they will suffer.

    “What a rubbish; why do you multiply misery; people are sleeping in the bank to get their money; in which country has it ever happened? People are now selling money; not dollars; it is easier now to get dollars than to get naira; parents cannot have money to buy foodstuff for their children; I don’t know how many will be alive by the time the so-called new currency will come out. The new currency is not even good, the design very poor, the colour separation rubbish;

“And everybody is talking election, election. Will dead men do the election? Men of God you better open your mouths; I have come back from monastery to see my people in suffering, in agony; it is time to tell Pharoah, ‘let my people go’,” he warned.

He lamented that parents now spent their nights either in ATMs or in filling stations, stressing “you are killing people; what kidnappers are not doing; you are doing worse. People cannot access healthcare, by the time the doctor gets alert, the person is dead.”

He said 99 percent of the population was ignorant of the new naira policy, describing it as “evil in the land. If you are not ready with the new naira, why not push out the old naira?”

He said he was saddened that upon his return from the monastery, more Nigerians had lost their jobs.

“Do you think that if this situation continues, that Nigerians will do election?” He queried.

“What is happening now is a coup d’etat on democracy. But who will say it? To buy pure water, will you do a cash transfer? Why mess up Nigeria because you people are going? Why didn’t you start it all the while? 8 years was enough for you people to stabilise it, wickedness. No job, no food, no house.

“The present government, I want to ask you, change, or you people will cry, what you are inviting, you cannot face it.

“The Hausas are crying; the Fulani are crying; the Yorubas are crying; the Igbos are crying; the Niger Delta people are crying; the Middle Belt are crying, who are you now leading?”

Fr. Mbaka returns to Adoration ministry, after serving eight months suspension

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Catholic Chaplaincy in Emene, Enugu state has returned from Monastery where he was deployed to eight months after he was suspended by the Catholic church for his interference in political matters in the country.

Recall that the Church was closed down earlier in the year and on June 3, 2022 the Catholic Diocese of Enugu banned Mbaka from commenting on political issues after activities in the ministry were suspended.

Upon reopening, the Church turned the ministry into Chaplaincy to monitor the excesses in the ministry.

In October 2022, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, had transferred Mbaka from chaplaincy to the monastery.

Consequently, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was named to replace him (Mbaka) as the new chaplain of the Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy.

It remains to be seen if Fr. Mbaka will take over the helm of affairs of the Adoration ministry from the new chaplain.

Adoration: Mbaka proposed interim administration – Enugu Catholic Diocese

Enugu Diocese of the Catholic Church says Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka proposed that Rev Fr Anthony Amadi serve as interim administrator for the Adoration Ministry, in the state.

Director of Communications, Enugu Diocese, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Achi, made the disclosure in Enugu on Monday while reacting to media reports that the church removed Mbaka who was the ministry’s administrator.

Achi said that Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was not removed from the Adoration Ministry, as many reports were suggesting.

According to him, Enugu Catholic Diocese only recommended that Fr. Mbaka took time away in solitude, in order to listen to what the Spirit of God has to tell him.

“Mbaka was allowed to propose a priest to administer, in the interim, to the faithful at the Adoration Ministry. “With the approval of his Bishop, on Sunday Oct. 2 2022, Fr. Mbaka introduced Fr. Anthony Amadi to the worshippers.

“Unfortunately, some people were still not pleased, and would prefer that Fr. Mbaka remains,” he said. He stated that what every true Christian, and especially every true Catholic, should do at this moment was to “commit our dear brother and priest, Fr. Mbaka, to God in prayer.

“So that he may, through this moment, encounter God specially, come out stronger and better in recognizing His will for him and gain more graces to channel those rare gifts for His glory”.

This, he said, would help for the sanctification of the people of God and society at large. Umoh further stressed that, “Church loves Fr. Mbaka and cherishes him as an illustrious son and may our Mother Mary, the Queen of all Apostles, intercede for him. Amen”.

Newsmen reports that following the lifting of the ban, Fr. Mbaka held a service at the ministry on Sunday amidst cheers by his followers.

The worshippers were, however, shocked when the cleric announced that he had been removed as the spiritual director of the ministry by the Catholic bishop, Most Rev Callistus Onaga.

He subsequently introduced Anthony Amadi, another Catholic priest, as the new spiritual director of the ministry. Mbaka said he had been directed to “proceed to a monastery” as part of the disciplinary measures against him by the church.

“So, while I proceed to the monastery to continue with the remaining disciplinary exercises, as directed. “I wouldn’t know how long; but the church has appointed Fr. Anthony Amadi, one of us, to be overseeing all affairs of the ministry, to be assisted by other priests, pending my return, by the grace of God,” Fr. Mbaka said.

The cleric also announced that the ministry had not fully reopened, explaining that some programmes including a weekly Friday all-night adoration remained suspended till further notice.

Enugu Catholic bishop cancels ban on Mbaka’s ministry

After three months, Enugu Catholic Diocese has lifted the ban placed on Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry.

The bishop, Most. Rev. Callistus Onaga had banned all priests and Catholic faithful from attending the ministry after Mbaka made several controversial comments, one of which was against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Mbaka at the time said Obi would never become president, adding that the former Anambra State governor was cursed.

According to the priest, it was better to have an old man as president than a “stingy young man”.

Mbaka came under criticism over his comments, forcing him to apologize.

However, the controversial cleric said on Thursday in a post across social media platforms that worship would begin at the adoration ground on October 2.

He wrote: “Dear Adorers, To the glory of God, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Amen, starts on Sunday 2nd October, 2022 with 10am Mass at the Adoration ground Umuchigbo Iji Nike Emene Enugu State.”

    CONTROVERSIES:
Alleged support of Buhari in the 2015 general elections
On 31 December 2014, Mbaka told a congregation that the then president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan had failed to stem the tide of insecurity and corruption in the country, and urged them to vote the administration out.

Fr. Mbaka’s call for a change in administration is in tandem with his priestly-prophetic ministry. Fr. Mbaka has been consistent in directing, advising and forewarning every administration in Nigeria since he was ordained a Roman Catholic priest.

    Seeking compensation for supporting Buhari
On 28 April 2021, Mbaka called on President Buhari to resign from his office over the worsening insecurities in Nigeria.

In response to Mbaka’s call, the Nigerian Presidency released a statement through Garba Shehu that Mbaka is allegedly angry because President Buhari ignored his request for contracts after he asked for contracts as compensation for his support in 2015 and 2019.

Rumor of Rivalry with Ebube Muonso
It was once alleged that there occurred incidents of rivalry, but this false rumor was debunked by both the Reverend Fathers Mbaka and Emmanuel Obimma (Ebube Muonso).

Peter Obi: Members of Fr Mbaka’s ministry protest, demand removal of Bishop

Members of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), owned by Father Ejike Mbaka have demanded the removal of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Bishop Callistus Onaga.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the members stormed the ministry’s ground in protest on Sunday, after the Diocese barred Catholics from worshipping at AMEN, following recent public utterances of Father Mbaka.

During the protest, some worshippers who went to the ministry in Enugu, some of the members who are fervent supporters of Mbaka were seen carrying tree leaves and branches chanting, “Onaga Must Go,” and “No More Onaga”.

Recall that Onaga had banned Catholics including the clergy from attending Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry over his recent utterances in the ministry.

Onaga banned them from having anything to do with the Adoration Ministry.

A letter to the effect reads: “In the light of the happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu, capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings and after several fraternal corrections and admonitions to Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Chaplain of the Ministry.

“Having given him pastoral directives and guidelines for the Ministry Chaplaincy, which he persistently violated.

“In fulfilment of my pastoral duties as the Chief Shepherd with the obligation to promote and safeguard the Catholic faith and morals in Enugu Diocese, I hereby prohibit all Catholics (clergy, religious and lay faithful) henceforth from attending all religious and liturgical activities of the Catholic Adoration Ministry until the due canonical process initiated by the Diocese is concluded.

“My decision is based on the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Fr. Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration Ministry are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church”.

He, however, enjoined “all Christian faithful to keep praying for Fr. Mbaka.”

This came barely hours after Mbaka had apologised to Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party for 2023 general election.

Recall that the priest had during one of adoration programme few days ago declared that Obi, who he described as “a stingy man”, would never rule Nigeria.

He had said that until Obi came and knelt before the adoration alter that his presidential ambitions would be in vain.

The outburst did not go down well with many Nigerians especially the youths who had fallen in love Obi’s candidature as they recommended appropriate sanctions be given to him.

Mbaka’s comment had set social media on fire as many had condemned it.

Recalled that this was not the first time Fr. Mbaka is facing sanctions from the Enugu Catholic Diocese over political comments.

The Diocesan authority had last year, after placing his activities on hold for a month, also converted the adoration ministry to chaplaincy and he was then asked to keep off politics.

But Mbaka who always speaks on issues during his programmes on adoration ground had reacted the no to the changes that no one would stop him from speaking.

“Those who think Mbaka will be quiet, you are wasting your time,” he had said last year in reaction to the ban placed on him from commenting on political activities,” he had said.

Fr Mbaka to build 500-bed university hospital, three factories in Enugu

The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka is set to build a 500-bed University Hospital, three factories, a waste management plant and other facilities within the vicinity of the Adoration Centre, in Enugu State.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Rev. Fr. Mbaka conceived the projects in partnership with a British firm known as HP Kapital Limited with a view to remodelling the Adoration Centre to serve as a multifunctional facility.

Mbaka revealed plans for the projects when he visited the Governor of Enugu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to seek his support for the projects. Governor Ugwuanyi declared that his administration will support a proposal.

Ugwuanyi, who spoke when Mbaka led the Group Chairman of HP Kapital Limited, Nandishwar Kaushal and his team to visit him at the Government House, Enugu, said the state government will do all that is required, considering its limited resources, to assist and ensure that the laudable projects succeed.

The delegation visited the Governor to formally inform him of their remodelling plan for the Adoration Centre to serve as a multifunctional facility to include a University Hospital of international standard with specialized medical services such as a helipad and air ambulance, a five-star hotel, recreation facility and convention centre, among others.

Requesting land for the projects, the delegation also informed the Governor of their plan to build an energy plant to manage waste and convert it to wealth. They equally said they will build three factories that would employ 600 people locally, who will be trained by 40 engineers to be trained abroad, among other inherent benefits to the state and the local community.

Speaking, Gov. Ugwuanyi expressed delight at the project action plan which he said was in line with the accomplishments of his administration in creating jobs for the youth and providing qualitative and affordable healthcare services to residents of the state, including the rural dwellers.

The governor, who noted that Fr. Mbaka has paid his dues, stressed that his administration will continue to support and encourage any venture that would create jobs and add value to the economy of the state and the living standard of the people.

“I want to assure and reassure you that the Enugu State Government will do all that is required, giving our limited resources, to assist you”, he said.

Earlier in his presentation, the Group Chairman of HP Kapital Limited, Kaushal, informed Gov. Ugwuanyi the University Hospital will be affiliated with “your University here (ESUT) and AU University in Britain”, adding that “the degrees that will be issued will be in collaboration with your University and AU British University”.

He disclosed that the company hopes to have an initial strength of 7,500 students in a number of different Curriculums, “not only medicine”, explaining further that “the staff accommodation is going to be 2,500 people” locally and internationally.

On corporate social responsibility, the chairman stated that they will help the needy and the less privileged, revealing that “10 per cent of all beds, no matter the cost of the bill, we will treat those patients for free so far those persons are registered citizens of Enugu State”.

Corroborating, Fr. Mbaka thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for his fatherly support, pointing out that it would be a thing of joy “the generation to come will know that this project came to be in Gburugburu’s (Gov. Ugwuany’s) time”.

The AMEN Spiritual Director maintained that the project is coming to Enugu State because of the existing peace and the enabling environment provided by the governor.

According to him, “The HP Kapital Limited is not just coming as a mono entrepreneurial team; we are partnering with them. It is a holistic partnership between them and Adoration Ministry. All you have suggested are in tandem with our vision and mission. More so when you talked about the charitable dimension and how this will be beneficial to the inherent resident community; it is part and parcel of our dream”.

Fr. Mbaka prayed for the timely commencement and successful completion of the project, and assured Gov. Ugwuanyi of their collective commitment and determination to ensure that he inaugurates some of the projects before the end of his administration.

“Your Excellency, by the time you are not in the office as a Governor of Enugu State there are a lot of things for which you should be remembered for. And I pray that among all the credible, multiple, pragmatic, and demonstrated developments, one of them should be this project we have come with today”, he said.
