Elon Musk reacts as Transgender daughter sets to leave US after Trump’s victory

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has reacted to the plans of his 20-year-old estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson to leave the United States in the wake of Donald Trump’s recent election victory.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that Wilson had made the announcement on Threads, citing discomfort with the political climate under Trump’s return to office.

“The direction this country is heading under the current political leadership makes me uneasy,” she wrote.

“I don’t see my future in the United States.

“I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. Even if he’s only in office for four years, even if anti-trans regulations don’t materialise, the people who voted for this aren’t going anywhere anytime soon,” she wrote.

Reacting to the news via the microblogging platform X formerly Twitter, Elon Musk  in response to a user, reiterated his previous sentiments stating: “The woke mind virus killed my son.”

The 20-year-old Wilson was born to Musk and his first wife, Justine Wilson in 2004. Originally named Xavier, she came out as transgender in April 2022 and requested to legally change her gender and name to Vivian Jenna Wilson, adopting her mother’s maiden name.

Musk, who has 12 children from three different relationships, has openly criticised Wilson, labelling her a “communist” with an anti-wealth stance. Musk, who once claimed that Vivian was “kill3d by the woke mind virus,” said that he was “tricked” into signing documents allowing her to start puberty blockers, alleging that he was unaware of the situation’s depth amid COVID-19 disruptions.

Wilson who has been estranged from her father since 2022, accused him of transphobia, “cruelty,” and “serial” cheating. She said Musk would berate her for being more in touch with femininity as a child, urging her to make her voice deeper.

Elon Musk rolls out brain chip to aid blind person see

The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk has announced that Neuralink, his brain-chip startup company, has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for an experimental implant device that will “enable even those who have lost both eyes and their optic nerve to see”.

“The Blindsight device from Neuralink will enable even those who have lost both eyes and their optic nerve to see. Provided the visual cortex is intact, it will even enable those who have been blind from birth to see for the first time,” the tech billionaire tweeted early Wednesday.

In the tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Musk posted a photo of Geordi La Forge, a character from the sci-fi TV series Star Trek, who is blind from birth but uses different technological devices that allows him to see.

“To set expectations correctly, the vision will first be at low resolution, like Atari graphics, but eventually it has the potential to be better than natural vision and enable you to see in infrared, ultraviolet, or even radar wavelengths, like Geordi La Forge”.

Co-founded by Elon Musk in 2016, Neuralink specialises in developing innovative brain-computer interfaces to transform treatments for neurological disorders.

Neuralink’s technology includes a brain implant that reads neural signals and wirelessly transmits them to external devices, including computers and mobile devices.

Business World reported that Neuralink is also developing an implant that enables paralysed individuals to control digital devices with their thoughts.

Neuralink is also reported to be conducting a clinical trial with three participants to evaluate the device’s effectiveness in aiding individuals with spinal cord injuries.

In August 2024, it was widely reported that Neuralink successfully implanted its brain-computer interface in a second patient, who is now able to control video games and create 3D designs using just their thoughts.

X: Why users see toxic content on social media – Elon Musk

Billionaire owner of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk has opened up on why social media users see toxic contents on the microblogging platform.

Musk disclosed that the algorithm of X is programmed in a way that when users interact with a content, it implies they want to see more of such contents or related contents frequently.

“I was just with some friends who were saying that their feed had become more toxic lately. Turns out they had been sharing examples of toxic posts with each other, which makes the algorithm think you love toxic posts.

“The X algorithm assumes that if you interact with content, you want to see more of that content. One of the strongest signals is if you forward 𝕏 posts to friends, it assumes you like that content a lot, because it takes effort to forward.

“Unfortunately, if the actual reason you forwarded the content to friends was because you were outraged by it, we are currently not smart enough to realize that,” he said.

To regularly see nice contents, users are reminded to regularly share nice posts with friends and family so their feeds does not become toxic.

Meanwhile, reports have shown that people are 49% more likely to read something negative than positive. Most of those aged 17 and over have a tendency to gravitate toward negative information while disregarding positive one.

Reports show that 49% of people will rather read something negative, which lends weight to negative articles statistics.

Elon Musk denies supporting Trump campaign with $45m a month donations

Elon Musk has denied reports that he was donating $45 million a month to a fund backing former US president Donald Trump’s latest White House bid.

In a post-Tuesday on X, Musk called the report he was funding a so-called political Super-PAC “ridiculous.” Super PACs are specially designed groups that can spend unlimited amounts on political candidates and causes.

“I am making some donations to America PAC, but at a much lower level and the key values of the PAC are supporting a meritocracy & individual freedom.”

“Republicans are mostly, but not entirely, on the side of merit & freedom,” he added.

Musk’s comments came days after the democratic campaign for the presidential election was re-invigorated with Vice President Kamala Harris stepping in for Joe Biden.

The Wall Street Journal had reported that Musk plans to donate $45 million monthly to America PAC, even though Musk stated just months ago that he would not donate to either Trump or President Joe Biden.

The Tesla founder formally endorsed Trump’s candidacy for US president earlier this month immediately after the Republican survived a shooting at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Musk is one of several major backers of the new fund, with others reportedly including Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, former US ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and cryptocurrency investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.

Platform X CEO, Elon Musk berates son for transforming into transgender

Platform X CEO and billionaire businessman, Elon Musk has revealed that he’s not in support of his son’s transgender transition.

According to Musk, he was “tricked” into signing documents for his son to become a transgender with the threat that he might commit suicide if he doesn’t consent to his gender transition.

Musk told Daily Wire during an interview session that his son is affected by the woke-mind session

He said his son is “dead,” stressing that he has been “killed” by the “woke-mind virus.

He added that he vowed to “destroy” the “woke-mind virus” after his son’s gender transition.

“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys… This was before I had really any understanding of what was going on,” he said.

“There was a lot of confusion and you know, I was told, oh he might commit suicide…”

“My son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”

“I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that… and we are making some progress.”

Elon Musk is a staunch supporter of the Republican Party presidential candidate, Donald Trump, who is known for his anti-LGBQ stance.

He recently revealed that Musk donates $45 million to his campaign fund monthly.

US Election: Elon Musk to support Trump with $45 million monthly

Billionaire businessman and X CEO, Elon Musk plans to contribute approximately $45 million each month to a new fund supporting Donald Trump for the US presidency, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual with an estimated net worth of $250 billion, has become increasingly close with Trump during the 2024 US election cycle.

In March, the two met in person at a donor breakfast hosted by billionaire Nelson Peltz at his Florida residence.

While individual campaign donations in the United States are limited to $3,300 per person, loopholes in the campaign finance system allow major donors to contribute to political action committees (PACs), which can support candidates more broadly.

Trump, who previously criticized mail-in and absentee voting, has softened his stance after recognizing that Democrats had an advantage among mail voters.

  • Platform X CEO, Elon Musk withdraws lawsuit against OpenAI

Platform X CEO, Elon Musk withdraws lawsuit against OpenAI

The CEO of Platform X, Elon Musk has requested a California court to withdraw his lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman.

It would be recalled that the legal case accused OpenAI of straying from its original mission to develop artificial intelligence (AI) for the benefit of humanity.

Musk’s lawyers submitted the filing to dismiss the months-old case without providing a reason for the decision.

Musk withdrawal of the matter came just one day before the court’s hearing of the  OpenAI’s request to have the case dismissed.

The dismissal was requested “without prejudice,” which allows Musk the option to potentially reopen the case in the future.

Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015, filed the lawsuit in late February, claiming the organization had shifted its focus from altruistic goals to profit-making ventures.

However, OpenAI  noted that Musk had previously supported the idea of a for-profit structure and had even suggested a merger with his electric car company, Tesla.

The dispute between Musk and OpenAI escalated earlier this week following Apple’s announcement of a partnership with OpenAI to integrate the ChatGPT chatbot into its Siri voice assistant and operating systems.

Musk criticised the collaboration on his social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), suggesting that Apple was compromising user data security.

“Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river,” Musk posted on X.

Despite Musk’s criticisms, investors responded positively to the news, with Apple’s stock market value reaching a record high of over $3 trillion

In July 2023, Musk launched his own AI company, xAI, with the goal of “understanding reality.”

By November, xAI had introduced Grok, a chatbot designed to compete with ChatGPT, featuring a touch of humor.

The developments in Musk’s legal battles and AI ventures continue to draw significant attention as the tech industry watches closely.

  • Elon Musk approves X-rated content on Platform X

Elon Musk approves X-rated content on Platform X

Elon Musk has given an order authenticating the use of X-rated content on platform X provided it goes through the laid down guidelines and procedures.

Adult content and nudity has been present on Twitter for years before Musk takeover in 2022.

The new guidelines, first reported by Tech Crunch on Monday, explicitly permit users to share adult content “as long as it is consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behavior.”

X released  updated guidelines over the weekend, stating that “sexual expression, visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression.”

Under the new policy, posting adult content is formally within the rules as long as it is labeled and not prominently displayed, such as in profile pictures or account banners.

According to the new released guidelines, accounts that regularly post adult content will be required to automatically mark their image and video posts as sensitive content.

Adult content will also be prohibited for users identified as children or adult users who choose not to view it.

The policy extends to AI-generated content, animations, cartoons, hentai and anime.

X’s safety team tweeted the new guidelines would “bring more clarity to our rules and transparency into enforcement of these areas.”
