Prince Harry to attend King Charles III’s coronation without his family

The royal guest list for King Charles III’s upcoming coronation will include Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex is set to attend his father’s ceremony on May 6, while Meghan Markle will not make the trip overseas, a rep for the couple told E! News on April 12.

According to the statement, the Duchess of Sussex will be staying in California with kids — Archie Harrison, 3 years, and Lilibet Diana, 22 months.

Buckingham Palace also confirmed Harry’s attendance to the coronation, which falls on Archie’s 4th birthday.

This update comes one month after a rep for Harry and Meghan confirmed that they had received “email correspondence” from the king’s office about the coronation.

At the time, the couple’s spokesperson told the Associated Press, “An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.” However, they have now come to a decision that just Harry will join his family at the coronation at London’s Westminster Abbey.

During the service, which will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Charles will be formally crowned alongside Queen Consort Camilla. “The coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future,” the Palace previously said, “while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”

On April 4, more details were announced about the royal ceremony, including the role Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George, will play in the coronation.

The 9-year-old will serve as one of the eight Pages of Honour that will walk the procession and carry the robes inside Westminster Abbey. Joining George in this duty will be Camilla’s grandchildren, Freddy Parker Bowles, Gus Lopes and Louis Lopes, along with her great-nephew Arthur Elliot.

The royal family has also made sure that the late Queen Elizabeth II’s spirit is felt during the coronation proceedings, even featuring the lily of the valley — a favourite flower of the monarch — on the invitations.

The former defender, now 43 years old, played 362 times for Man United in 15 years and wore 23 caps for England. After leaving United in 2011, he played for Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.

Raking in £50,000 per week while playing, Brown won five Premier League titles, two FA Cup, two League Cups and two Champions Leagues.

The bankruptcy petition against Brown was rubber-stamped at the High Court on April 12 and listed on The Gazette, the official public record.

According to sources, the secret split happened before Christmas 2021.

Brown reportedly moved out of the home he shared with Leanne and their children Halle, Lilia, and Lola.

  • EPL: Agbonlahor identifies three Liverpool player that should be axed next season

EPL: Agbonlahor identifies three Liverpool player that should be axed next season

Fabinho, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been advised  to leave Liverpool this summer transfer window.

Player of Nigerian descent and former Aston Villa captain,  Gabriel Agbonlahor made the call on Saturday during an interview with pressmen in England.

According to the Player, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita’s injury issues with Liverpool are well-documented. The duo have not been able to live up to the fee the Reds paid to sign them.

Fabinho, on the other hand, has evidently struggled for form this season.

“I think his experience and leadership is well worth having. Fabinho should go this summer; Keita will go. Oxlade-Chamberlain will go.

“So Liverpool will need a player like Milner, for sure,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider via Anfield Watch.

It’s time for Kane to leave Tottenham – Gerrard

Former England international Steven Gerrard can see Harry Kane leaving Tottenham this summer.

Gerrard is in Naples for the start of England’s Euro 2024 qualifying campaign against Italy as Kane became the Three Lions’ all-time leading scorer with his 54 goals.

Kane came close to leaving Tottenham in the summer of 2021 for Manchester City, but their reported offer of around £100 million was not enough to satisfy Daniel Levy.

The England captain is once again being linked with a move away from North London as time runs out for him to start winning trophies.

Gerrard said on Channel 4 at half-time after Kane converted his penalty: “It’s an incredible penalty, it’s precise, takes the side-netting off. He’s one of the best penalty-takers in the world, that’s why it was such a surprise what happened to him in the World Cup.

“You’re talking about greatness, you’re talking about one of the best number nines in the world right now and that’s the reason why every transfer window he’s ahead in terms of all the talks because, you know, maybe it is time, maybe it is time for him to move on.”

  • I’m still disappointed not going to World Cup – Tomori

I’m still disappointed not going to World Cup – Tomori

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori admits he’s disappointed for failing to make England’s World Cup squad.

The former Chelsea stopper missed out on the final 26-man squad.

“I’m still disappointed not to go to the World Cup, but that’s how football is. I just have to keep working and stay focused on Milan,” said Tomori.

“It’s been a good year. We won Serie A and I think I’ve improved as a player.

“Winning the championship again will be one of the most difficult tasks. Last year, there were few who thought we would do it, but now we have the trophy on our chest and when other teams meet us, they change the style of play.

“We need to get better mentally and raise the level both as a team and individually. We can win again, but it will be harder than last year.”

Qatar 2022: How France resisted England to reach semi-finals

Reigning champions, France resisted pressure from England on Saturday night to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after a 2-1 victory.

The holders broke the deadlock in the 17th minute through Aurelien Tchouameni’s long-range strike into the bottom corner.

England made a bright start to the second half, though, and were awarded a penalty after Bukayo Saka was tripped, and Harry Kane fired it into the back of the net.

Olivier Giroud restored France’s lead in the 78th minute with a header from close range and the Three Lions had another chance to equalise from the spot, but Kane blazed that one high over the bar.

With the win, France will face Morocco in the semi-final on Wednesday as they edge closer to completing a successful title defence.

  • Sterling ponders ending World Cup campaign after robbery attack

Sterling ponders ending World Cup campaign after robbery attack

Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling is prepared to delay his return to England’s World Cup camp in Qatar.

The Sun says Sterling will only re-join England’s World Cup squad when his family’s safety is guaranteed after they were the victims of a horrific burglary, it has been claimed.

Sterling’s Surrey mansion was targeted on Saturday night while he was preparing for England’s World Cup clash against Senegal in Qatar. The Chelsea star’s partner Paige and their young children were not in the property when the burglary unfolded.

The England international, 27, flew back to the UK on Sunday to comfort his family after the distressing incident. He missed England’s 3-0 win later that day and Gareth Southgate has confirmed Sterling will have “as much time as he needs” before re-joining the squad.

Sterling will prioritise his family’s safety before making a decision on whether to return to Qatar.

A source revealed: “Raheem has told everyone, ‘There is no way I’m going anywhere unless I’m 100 per cent sure that my family can be kept safe’.

“He is security conscious and part of the reason they moved into the property was that it is on a very exclusive estate, with regular security patrols. Despite this, he has still managed to be targeted, which is very upsetting for Raheem and Paige. They have just moved back to London and want to feel safe.”

  • Qatar 2022: Bellingham inspired England throw Senegal out of World Cup

Qatar 2022: Bellingham inspired England throw Senegal out of World Cup

Africa’s best-ranked team, the Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday kissed the 2022 World Cup goodbye after losing to the Three Lions of England by 3-0.

Jude Bellingham’s masterclass inspired a 3-0 win against Senegal with his wonderful contribution to all the goals.

The Three Lions of England have now set up a quarter-final clash with the Le Blue of France in what has been dubbed the clash of the titans.

Jordan Henderson latched on to a low drive pass from the sensational Jude Belligham to turn in England’s first goal.

Harry kane was then fed with a pass from the right side and he powered a shot pass goalkeeper Edoaurd Mendy in the 45th minute for his first goal of the tournament.

Bukayo Saka scored England’s third, but it was Bellingham’s prodigious work-rate and burgeoning quality in possession that allowed them to turn the tide.

Bellingham set up Henderson’s opener and the Borussia Dortmund midfielder was involved again when England captain Kane bagged his first goal in this World Cup.

Both Harry Kane and Jordan Henderson were first time goal scorers in the competition with the former overtaking Gary Lineker as England’s all-time top scorer in those competitions after scoring his 11th goal for England in major competitions.

However, Jude Belligham’s exceptional play through the middle has been pinned to the success of the Gareth Southgate side in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Both France and England will slug it out in few days time for the Semi-Final ticket of the competition.

Jude Victor William Bellingham is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the England national team.

  • Qatar 2022: Gareth Bale angrily pushed away TV camera after England defeat

Qatar 2022: Gareth Bale angrily pushed away TV camera after England defeat

Wales captain Gareth Bale angrily pushed a TV camera away from his face during their World Cup loss to England.

The Welsh were outclassed by their neighbors, losing 3-0 thanks to a double from Marcus Rashford and a Phil Foden strike.

Bale, who was subbed off at half time when the scores were 0-0, was unhappy at the final whistle.

According to Tribalfootball, a cameraman was following him as he went to walk down to his teammates, but he immediately pushed it away from his face.

The 33-year-old is likely to retire at the end of the tournament, as he was keeping himself fit for the World Cup.

Speaking post-game, Bale stated: “Everyone is disappointed. I think we’re all proud of what we’ve achieved to get here. We have to look at how far we’ve come.

“Of course, we would have loved to have gone past the group but football is difficult.

“Teams go through good runs and bad runs and we didn’t quite live up to our expectations this tournament.

“But we’ll take massive experience from it and going forward we need to look at how far we’ve come.

“To be at a World Cup, if you’d asked us that two years ago, we’d have all pinched ourselves. It’s disappointing to go out but we’ll all walk out of that changing room with our heads held high and proud of each other.”
