Oba Olukosi of Ilukosi-Ijesa, an Osun-based monarch has filed a petition against one Engr Chibuke Azubuike for parading himself as Obi of Lagos.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that trouble started after Azubuike’s invitation printout announcing the unveiling of the prototype of the Obi of Lagos palace and the celebration of his first Ofala Festival in the Amuwo Odofin area of the state surfaced on social media.
The invitation listed Azubuike as the Obi of Lagos state.
Reacting, Osun monarch reposted the invitation, frowning at the designation accorded to Engr Azubuike on the invite.
The monarch also threatened to bring it up at the next Traditional Rulers Council meeting holding.
‘’I have directed my team to file a petition against one Chibuke Azubike parading himself as Obi of Lagos, and will bring this up at our Traditional Rulers Council meeting coming up this Friday.
“This act of provocation against our people will go unanswered’’ he wrote.
When contacted, Azubuike said contrary to claims, he is the Obi of Ndigbo in Lagos state and not the Obi of Lagos.
