    I was paid to defame actress, Eniola Badmus – Oge

    A Nigerian lady who accused popular Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus of connecting girls to top politicians for prostitution has been arrested by Nigerian police.

    Recall that the lady, simply identified as Oge, had days ago, in a viral video on social media, accused the Eniola Badmus of being a professional pimp who connects ladies to politicians for prostitution.

    In her reaction, Eniola Badmus took to her Instagram page on Wednesday, cautioned those fabricating lies against her reputation to tread carefully.

    “Trend carefully. Won ti je Badoskyy leti lol. Set Awon ko gbo nkankan. Zero answering”, Eniola wrote in Yoruba.

    However, in a new development on Sunday, a video shared on Eniola Badmus tv on YouTube showed Oge in police custody at an undisclosed location.

    The trending video captured the troll begging Badmus for forgiveness, stressing that the viral clip was done out of desperation to pay her house rent.

    Speaking further, Oge said she was paid N200,000 to defame the actress.

    She said: “So, one of my friends said if I should come out and talk about Miss Eniola Badmus that he was going to send me N200,000 because I told him about my rent. So that was what prompted the video in the first place.

    “So I’m so sorry. I just did it because of the money. I was so desperate to pay my house rent.”

    Oge was arrested on Saturday, July 22, after the actress reported the matter to the police.

    Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has been appointed as the chairman of the Entertainment Committee for President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29.

    Recall that Badmus has been selling the fabric to be used for the event ever since the announcement of Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.

    A trending list on the internet showed that the actress would be chairing the Entertainment Committee for Tinubu’s inauguration.

    Members of the group include Saheed Balogun, Toyin Abraham, Seyi Law, Lawal Olalekan, aka Konga, and singer Chuddy K, among others from the entertainment industry.

    Eniola Badmus, who is a strong supporter of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 election, had in February begun the distribution of the Aso ebi selected for the celebration and swearing-in ceremony.

    She was also in fore front of entertainment during electioneering and campaigns for  Tinubu.

    Davido and Eniola have been best of friends for years prior to his son’s death in October.

    Recall that Eniola made headlines for announcing his demise, which the singer’s fans felt she exploited the toddler’s death for monetary gains.

    However, Eniola is yet to reciprocate, as she is still following the singer at the time of reporting.

    Recall that Eniola’s career in acting professional started in the year 2000 but came into the limelight in 2008 when she shot to recognition starring in two Yoruba films titled Jenifa and Omo Ghetto.

    Both movies are instrumental to her rise in the Nigerian entertainment industry which has since seen her star as both a lead and supporting actress in several Yoruba and English films.

    Davido and Chioma were spotted in Saint Kitts with the Adeleke’s.

    The singer and Chioma are currently on vacation with his family which includes his dad and his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke and his family.

    A video posted on the wife of Adewale Adeleke’s Instagram story, showed the family enjoying an extravagant Christmas dinner.

    Since the death of their son, Davido and Chioma have withdrawn from the spotlight and have been keeping a very low profile. While Davido made his first return to Instagram, Chioma has remained inactive on Instagram.

    The couple has been spending more time with family. This is to ease their grief and to keep them in check from self-harm.

    Nigerian actress, Eniola Badmus, has been slammed for earlier breaking news of the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of popular music artiste, Davido, and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland.

    Eniola was said to have been the bearer of the heartbreaking news of Davido son’s death.

    It will be recalled that Eniola, in a now-deleted post, shared a heartbreak emoji via her Instagram page, indicating that something sad had happened.

    This preceded the supposed confirmation of Ifeanyi’s death by Williams Uchemba.

    Reacting to this, a Twitter user found her “eagerness” to share such a piece of news unpleasant.

    Taking to Twitter to air her displeasure, she wrote: “Eniola Badmus tho. Everyone prays not to be a bearer of bad news, what’s the eagerness for? Now there are too many speculations considering the fact that you’re close to him”

    Sanwo-Olu lauds comic actress, Eniola Badmus

    The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined other prominent Nigerians to celebrate Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus for attaining a milestone in her career.

    Eniola Badmus began her acting career in year 2000 and became famous eight years later after she featured in actress Funke Akindele’s blockbuster ‘Omo Ghetto’.

    The actress recently celebrated 20 years on stage, an event that was graced by comedian Ali Baba, comedian Ayo Ajewole, Davido, KWAM 1, Sanwo-Olu amongst others.

    Sanwo-Olu, represented at the event by the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, acknowledged the impact made by the celebrant in the movie world through creative and hilarious roles played in several movies, adding that the array of dignitaries at the occasion further attested to the love for Eniola Badmus and her wide acceptability.

    He said that the actress and her colleagues are very important to the realisation of his plans for the entertainment industry, especially the movie sector.

    During the occasion, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to the advancement of the movie industry, revealing that his administration has made a commitment to continually hone the skills of practitioners in the industry.

    “As we speak, hundreds of young practitioners in the filmmaking industry are undergoing training in different aspects of the trade, through our partnership with two renowned creative media organisations.

    “I know that it will be the delight of Eniola Badmus and all other stakeholders in the filmmaking industry to see that the sector is advancing in terms of content and quality and that is what we are committed to doing,” the Governor stated.

    Sanwo-Olu recalled that the State Government, through EbonyLife Creative Academy, recently produced another set of graduands trained in cinematography, set designing and acting, among others, stressing that three different batches of graduates have so far been produced in 2021 to inject fresh ideas and professionalism in the movie industry.

    He, therefore, challenged practitioners in the industry to continue to invest in the upcoming artists in such a way that their vision for the industry would outlive them.
