He said, “If you need provision, if things are hard and I know things are hard for quite a few of us, call on the one whose name is Jehovah El-Shaddai, the God who is more than enough.

“Call on Him – the one who is more than enough and He will meet your needs…He has many ways, depending on what is your need.

“When all ways are blocked, call on Him who is called the way when you don’t even know what’s going on.”

How RCCG celebrated Pastor Adeboye’s 82nd birthday

Faithfuls of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Sunday celebrated the General Overseer (GO) of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on his 82nd birthday.

Adeboye, born March 2, 1942, has been described as a Gospel revivalist and good home advocate for the contemporary generation.

Activities heralding the event commenced on Thursday, with an 82-hours non stop praise by the church’s youth choir.

A Special Holy Ghost and Thanksgiving Service was held at the church’s Redemption Camp, Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The congregation, however, thanked God for the gift of life of the pastor and prayed for good health and sustenance in his endeavours.

The event, with the theme “On Eagles’ Wings”, highlighted the pastor’s stride over the years in the service of God and mankind.

The redemption camp hosted people from across the world who came to pay tribute to the clergy and appreciate him for his inspiring counsel.

Speaking on the birthday celebration, the Head of the National Ushers for the church, Pastor James Akinyemi, described Adeboye as one with special covenant with God, adding that the celebrator has remained consistent in his calling.

“Daddy, just like good wine, gets better with age. We pray that in this year’s special Holy Ghost Service, God will give him the choicest birthday present,” he said.

An Administrator at the camp, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, said Adeboye has been a father to all, with many children carrying out the daddy’s GO mandate of preaching the good news.

“It is our prayer that God gives him a fresh oil to triumph the more,” he said.

Some members presented gifts to show love to the pastor.

Pastor Adeboye recalls near death experience

Speaking at the Redemption Camp, off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun, on Saturday as he clocked 82, with congregants celebrating him, Pastor Adeboye says he is alive because God is wonderful, recalling how he once escaped death by the whiskers.

Adeboye narrated the incident, which many years ago, according to him, could have claimed his life, if not for a miraculous intervention of God.

He referred to an earlier narrative by his former driver of several accidents in which the cleric and his wife escaped death in various incidents on the way to Ilorin, Kwara.

Adeboye said that the most frightening was one in which their vehicle came face to face with a trailer that was coming at full speed on a narrow path, by a bridge which had a river by its side.

“Somehow we passed,” he said, noting that it was a miracle that they escaped unhurt in the incident, which left both him and his driver shaking.

Adeboye said the escape amazed his driver, that all the way to Ilorin, all he was repeating was ‘wonderful.’

“That I’m alive today is because His name is called wonderful,” he said, and prayed that God would be wonderful in the lives of the people.

Adeboye appreciated the church members for celebrating him, praying that none of them would die young, and that they would be greater than him.

He said that his 82nd birthday anniversary also marked the 38th anniversary of the annual Special Holy Ghost Service organised by the church.

Adeboye thanked God for the lives that had been touched through the programme.

The cleric, at the event, went on to preach on the theme of the Holy Ghost Service – On Eagles Wings.

Preaching from Exodus Chapter 19, he said, “When God hears and takes notice of a person, the life of such a person changes for better.

“God can grab you from the lowest point on earth and put you on the throne.”

According to him, when one’s case is beyond any human assistance, the God who knows will send help.

The cleric said that all God required was faith and holiness, and He was able to give sweatless victory.

He prayed that God would hear the cries of the people, carry them on eagle’s wings and deliver them totally like He did for the children of Israel.

Abiodun praises Pastor Adeboye at 82, calls him exceptional leader

Earlier Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State had described Pastor Adeboye, as an exceptional leader whose teachings have impacted many lives positively.

In the statement, Abiodun said that Adeboye had always been consistent in advocating for peace, unity, and the socio-economic wellbeing of the country.

“On behalf of the people of Ogun State, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of your 82nd birthday.

“We are grateful for your selfless service and dedication to the betterment of humanity.

“Your humility, wisdom, and integrity are qualities that we deeply admire and strive to emulate.

“As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that God will continue to bless you abundantly and grant you good health, strength, and many more years of fruitful service,” the governor said.

Nothing we can do to stop hardship in Nigeria – Pastor Adeboye

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said there is nothing the ordinary people of Nigeria will do that will stop the hardship in the country.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye said this on Sunday during the February Thanksgiving Service of the RCCG that was held with the theme: ‘Let The Wind Blow’.

Speaking at the Throne of Grace Parish, RCCG Headquarters, in Ebute Meta, Lagos, Adeboye, fondly known as Daddy GO, recalled his prophecies for year 2024.

Adeboye maintained that the wind was already blowing, and begged Nigerians to pray and cry to God to show mercy on Nigeria.

He, however, declared that the governors and the President are secure and unaware of the hardship in the country.

“Remember at the beginning of the year, God said that things are going to get worse before they get better.

“If you know the value of the naira to the Dollar by January 1, if you compare the value of the Naira to the Dollar today; you would say, it looks like this boy knows what he was saying,” Pastor Adeboye said.

According to him, when things get worse, it is the innocent people who would suffer.

“It does not matter how much they are changing the Dollar, they are secured where they are.

“The Governor does not need to know the cost of petrol; he doesn’t want to know how much petrol is in his tank. When he wants to go out, he comes out and enters his car. He doesn’t queue at the petrol station.

“The President doesn’t need to know how much they sell bread; that is none of his business; it would get to his table when he wants to eat.

“It is the common people like you and I who can tell that at the beginning of the year, this is how much they are selling rice, because we have to buy,” he said.

Adeboye, however, called on Nigerian Christians to pray for God to intervene quickly.

“I have told you that I am not a Prophet, I am a Pastor. At the beginning of the year, the Lord said that the wind was going to blow, and the wind was already blowing. As it is, there is nothing we can do to stop it.”

“We have to pray with all our strength because when you say things would get worse before they get better.

“We don’t know how worse or how farther before they can get better. With all your heart, cry to God and say please have mercy on us, intervene quickly,” Adeboye said.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye said this on Sunday during the January 2024 Thanksgiving Service of the church held at the Throne of Grace Parish, Ebutte Metta, Lagos State.

Adeboye, who spoke on a message titled ‘Supernatural Enlargement’, prophesied that wealth would change hands in the country this year.

“Don’t let anybody tell you money is not in this country, just that it is in the wrong hands. This year, wealth will change hands. The wind is going to blow on the Naira.

“Long before the end of this year, you will know that you are on the mountaintop. Some will start the year as nobody, but before the end of the year, they will be somebody.

“If you do anything you can to serve God, he will not only reposition you, he will lift you to the mountain top,” Adeboye said.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has delivered his New Year prophecies for 2024.

As usual, his prophecies touched on Nigeria’s economy, health, medicine, individuals and world.

Adeboye, who read out his prophecies during the New Year Crossover Service at the Redemption City in Ogun State, said everything God is saying in 2024 centred around a single sentence, which is “The Wind is blowing.”

“The wind is blowing, as far as Nigeria is concerned, things will get worse before they get better. You are already complaining that things are hot, it will get a bit hotter before it gets better,” he said.

On individuals, he said, “There are some people who would start the year as nobody but become significant before the end of the year.

Adeboye said because the wind is blowing, some serious secrets would come to the open in Nigeria in 2024.

“Because the wind is blowing some serious secret will come to the open. I think I better run away from prophecies concerning Nigeria. Don’t lose hope, things will get better in case you are thinking of ‘Japaring,’” he said.

He added, “The Almighty God assures me that there will be quite a few medical breakthroughs, particularly in the area of incurable diseases like cancer, Asthma, diabetes, and so on.”

“Get ready to grab many opportunities this year.”

International: “There will be divine intervention in those places that are hot. There will be medical breakthroughs in areas like asthma, cancer, hypertension, and diabetes”, he stated.

    4. Don’t lose hope, because the wind is blowing means sooner or later things will get better.

    INDIVIDUAL:

    1. Because the wind is blowing, there are some people who will start this year as nothing/nobody but before the end of the year they will become significant.

  • Why I allowed Pastor Adeboye sit on royal chair – Oba Alao

Why I allowed Pastor Adeboye sit on royal chair – Oba Alao

The Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao has clarified why he allowed Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), to sit on his royal chair when he was in his Oyo State for a church programme.

Oba Alao made the clarification in a statement he personally signed after a photo of Pastor Adeboye sitting on the royal stool went viral on social media, stressing that the stool the RCCG GO sat on was a ceremonial one.

“My attention has been drawn to different types of reactions to a photo circulating on social media where the G.O of RCCG, Pastor Adeboye sat on one of the palace chairs.

“Let me set the record straight by reminding all that Pastor Adeboye was in Orile-Igbon for an evangelism programme which held on the playground of Olugbon High School. His chopper landed in an open space within the palace from where I received him to my living room.

“We spent some time talking about Nigeria and Orile-Igbon before we moved to the venue of the programme where thousands of people already gathered.

“As a mark of honour, I offered one of the ceremonial royal chairs that are usually reserved for top dignitaries to Pastor Adeboye to be used at the programme.

“It should be noted that the chair is not the particular one that is reserved for the Olugbon which can not be shared with anyone because of its spiritual and historical significance.

“The royal chairs are provided in palaces to honour high-ranking dignitaries, not to desecrate the throne. I, therefore, seek the understanding of all those expressing concern about the issue.

“There is a traditional royal chair that is meant for only the Kabiyesi, and there are traditional ceremonial chairs for very important persons. The throne of the ancient town of Orile-Igbon remains sacrosanct,” the statement reads.

On Christmas, Alao stated: “I hereby felicitate Christians on this another occasion of celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ which is a worldwide celebration. I urge all followers of Christ in Nigeria to use this period to reflect on the multiple blessings of God, particularly the grace to be alive to witness another Christmas.

“Aside from eating and drinking to celebrate his birth, Christmas is a time to make a new commitment to ensuring that our lives mirror Christ in every way. We should make a commitment to a life of righteousness, honesty, and showing love to fellow men regardless of their faith and cultural beliefs.”
