Super agent Raiola, Haaland spotted in Barcelona

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland’s prime representatives have been spotted in Barcelona.

Agent Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge Haaland were seen at Barcelona airport, sparking speculation that a meeting is being held today with Barca officials about a summer deal for the BVB star.

Haaland is expected to be sold by BVB this summer amid reports they’re seeking €180m to part with the Norway international.

Sport says Haaland Snr and Raiola were seen leaving Barcelona airport, having been collected by Barca officials in a private car.

Barca president Joan Laporta enjoys a good relationship with Raiola, so strengthening their chances of burning off competition for Haaland’s signature this summer.

Borussia Dortmund set new Haaland asking price

Borussia Dortmund are determined to price Erling Haaland out of a move away this summer.

The Norway international is a target for the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.

And while speculation is growing that BVB will be forced to sell, El Chiringuito is insisting on the opposite.

Josep Pedrerol, who is close to Real Madrid, has revealed interested clubs are being told it will take €250m to sign Haaland.

As such, BVB are now signaling they have no interest in parting with the striker this summer.

  • Abramovich on another spending spree as Haaland tops Chelsea transfer list

Abramovich on another spending spree as Haaland tops Chelsea transfer list

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to bankroll another huge summer spending spree.

TMW says Abramovich is not ready to rest on his laurels as he prepares to splash more cash this summer to get Chelsea back competing at the top of the table.

The Blues’ owner sanctioned over £200million worth of transfers in the off-season in a bid to close the gap on their rivals.

But after sacking Frank Lampard and instilling Thomas Tuchel as his replacement, Abramovich now sees the need to further invest in the playing squad.

He is now set to plunge another £260million into the club, with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland top of his wishlist.

Abramovich wants Chelsea to land Haaland ‘at all costs’, which could see them splurge the bulk of their transfer kitty on him this summer, rather than join a bidding war in 2022.

UCL: Haaland brace helps Dortmund to beat Sevilla

Erling Braut Haaland continued his stunning scoring run in the Champions League as Borussia Dortmund put aside their domestic woes to take control of their last-16 tie with Sevilla.

They trailed early on to a Suso shot that deflected in off Mats Hummels.

Mahmoud Dahoud levelled before Haaland got his 17th goal in 13 games in the competition to put them ahead.

It was 18 soon after via a neat finish, with Luuk de Jong scoring late on to give Sevilla hope in the tie.

The substitutes side-foot finish from a free-kick was reward for a concerted push from the home side that ultimately came too late to level the leg.

There was a VAR check for a penalty for the Spanish side in added time for a potential foul by Thomas Meunier on De Jong but the video officials deemed the contact between the two legal.

The second leg in Germany is on 9 March.

UCL: Unstoppable Haaland scores twice in PSG showdown

Borussia Dortmund teenager Erling Haaland scored twice in eight minutes on Tuesday to lead his German club to a 2-1 victory over Paris St-Germain (PSG).

In their 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg game in Dortmund, the Norwegian stabbed in from close range after a quick-fire passing move in the 69th minute.

The 19-year-old who joined in the winter has already netted eight times in five Bundesliga matches.

He then thundered in an unstoppable shot for his second goal in the 77th, two minutes after PSG’s Brazilian forward Neymar had levelled for the French champions.

Haaland, the first Borussia Dortmund player to score in his first league, German Cup and Champions League matches, has reached 10 goals in seven games in Europe’s elite competition this season.

These included eight for Salzburg in the group stage, and it is faster than anyone.

He is only the second teenager to net 10 Champions League goals, after Kylian Mbappe, and is the first teenager to score 10 in a single campaign in the competition.

“I still need to improve, keep working,” Haaland said. “I want to go far in the Champions League. With the second goal I enjoyed the moment.”

PSG, who were eliminated at this stage of the competition in the previous three seasons, had fit-again Neymar and Mbappe back in the starting line-up.

But they were almost completely shut out by an extremely efficient Borussia Dortmund backline.

In a cautious first half, the French side had the slight advantage in possession.

But Dortmund carved out the only real chance after 27 minutes with a curled shot from Jadon Sancho.

Mbappe and Neymar were kept under tight surveillance.

Borussia Dortmund defenders Mats Hummels, Lukasz Piszczek —- on his 350th appearance for the club in all competitions —- and Dan Axel Zagadou denying the pair any space to manoeuvre.

The Germans’ main firepower, Haaland, was also shackled for about an hour before he finally found some space to complete a quick Borussia Dortmund move.

PSG, who will be without Marco Verratti and Thomas Meunier for the return leg after they picked up bookings, drew level through Neymar.

The Brazilian found the net after a fine run down the right by Mbappe.

He also later hit the post.

But the visitors could do nothing when 17-year-old substitute Giovanni Reyna found Haaland at the edge of the box.

The in-form forward released a fiercely-struck left foot effort that gave PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas no chance.

The return leg is in Paris on March 11.

  • Man Utd target scores 23-minute hat-trick on Dortmund debut

Man Utd target scores 23-minute hat-trick on Dortmund debut

Erling Haaland scored a 23-minute hat-trick on his Borussia Dortmund debut since signing from Red Bull Salzburg for around €20m (£17m).

The 19-year-old, who was a Manchester United target before choosing to join Dortmund, only came on after 56 minutes in a game Dortmund were losing 3-1 away to Augsburg – but scored with his first touch.

Two goals and 20 mins later, Haaland completed a quickfire hat-trick and showed why United had met the teenager’s €20m release clause.

The stumbling block for the Manchester club was the value of Haaland’s buy-out clause, should the striker decide on a move to another club.

The highly rated 19-year-old signed for German side Dortmund instead on a four-and-a-half-year deal at the start of this month.

Norway international Haaland scored 28 goals and registered seven assists in just 22 games for Salzburg this season in all competitions.

England’s Jadon Sancho was also on target as Dortmund completed a 5-3 comeback.
