  • Sowore’s mum begs Buhari:’My mind is disturbed, release my son now’ [Video]

    Mother of the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has reached out to President Muhammadu Buhari to release his son, while stressing that he [Sowore] is not a criminal.

    Sowore’s mother (Esther), in a video interview with Objectv Media, an online TV, said her health has been compromised with the continued detention of her son.

    He words, “Dear Buhari, I am sending you this message as a woman, your mother is a woman, your wife is a woman, this is December and Yele has been taken away since August, he always comes to the Village every December to greet me in December; but you have been holding him. Please release him and let him face his case in court. He can’t run away, because he knows he has not committed a crime…My mind is disturbed that he has not been allowed to go for medical care since August since I gave birth to him, he always speaks against evil… he is not a criminal, release my son, you take care of your own son.”

    Recall Mr Sowore was arrested on August 3 for leading #RevolutionNow campaign — a series of nationwide protests he had planned with other activists to demand a better Nigeria.

    I did not expect to get so much love after BBNaija- Esther

    Esther Agunbiade BBNaija 2019 housemate has said she didn’t expect to get the kind of love and acceptance she got after the show.

    The lawyer turned reality TV star noted that being part of the show has opened up a lot of opportunities for her.

    Speaking in a chat with TheNewsGuru, Esther said:” I did not expect to get so much love after BBNaija, It was overwhelming. It has opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I didn’t expect anything because we were just in the house. In my head, I am still the same person I was when I got into the house. I came out and I found out that the love has been massive”.

    Asked how she intends to cope with her new found fame, she said: “I intend to stick to the positives; we know the way the world works, good things comes with a little bit of bad things.I am going to enjoy the negatives do not break me”.

    Reminiscing on her BBNaija auditions, she stated that it was an intense experience.

    ” It was intense; I didn’t leave there till around nine at night. Few months later, I found myself in the house. Go there and be yourself”.

    Though BBNaija 2019 has ended, its looks like the drama that emanated from the reality TV show won’t be ending anytime soon.

    During the just concluded ‘Pepper dem’ edition of the show, two contestants who drew so much attention to viewers were Frodd and Esther because of their interesting relationship.

    Frodd was recently interviewed on Wazobia FM where he was asked about his relationship with Esther and gave a very shocking response.

    The soft spoken ex- BBNaija housemate revealed that he will not be having time for that relationship, adding that he is trying to maximize the platform BBNaija has given him and make his fans happy.

    His statement has elicited different reactions on Twitter, with any criticizing him over being manipulative.

    Evicted BBNaija housemate, Esther has been described as being sneaky. Ike made this known while discussing with Mercy.

    Ike stated that Esther had played a fast one with Diane over Nelson.

    Viewers of the show will remember that Nelson, an ex-housemate, had been a love interest of BFFs Esther and Diane while he was in the house.

    “We were talking about who we like in the house and Diane told Esther that she likes Nelson, and the next two days she (Esther) took Nelson,” Mercy shared with Ike.

    Continuing she said: “Diane told me she didn’t see Tuoyo as a boyfriend; I like Tuoyo differently. I have feelings for this person (Nelson) and she made it very clear; she didn’t hide it. Then the day we had this discussion, it was still Esther who asked us who she (Diane) liked. She didn’t want to, but Diane just said it and the next thing you (Esther) are with this guy and we don’t even know what happened”.

    Mercy further stated that Esther didn’t disclose that she liked Nelson during the discussion, leading Ike to describe Esther as a “sneaky girl”.

    Esther and Sir Dee have bowed out from the ongoing Big Brother Naija season 4.

    They were evicted on Sunday from the Pepper Dem Edition for scoring the lowest votes.

    Esther and Sir Dee were on the eviction list alongside Cindy and their team (Legend team), made up of Venita, Tacha, Khafi, Frodd excluding Omashola who was saved with Veto Power by Ike.

    When asked about how she felt to be gracing the stage tonight, Esther said: “It is what it is.”

    To the anticipation of all, Ebuka went ahead to ask her how she felt about her two love-interests in the House – Nelson and Frodd. Following her initial rejection of the latter, Esther revealed to Ebuka that she later got to know Frodd and found him to be a sweet guy.

    “To be determined,” was the answer she gave Ebuka when asked about the future of a relationship with either of the men outside the house.

    After the announcement of his eviction, Sir Dee was welcomed on the stage with loud cheers.

    When asked about having feelings for Diane, the resident cool dude said he only had a “brother, sister” relationship with her and did not feel anything more for her.

    To him, he wouldn’t have had anything with Tacha in the House because he considered her as “too hot” to be in a relationship with.

    He plans to go into his passion for graphics design and plans to take the business seriously outside the House. In addition, he would like to delve into the entertainment industry and try his hands on whatever may come his way in that field.

    Esther and Sir Dee’s eviction means 14 contestants have been sent packing from the pepper dem house leaving 12 housemates to contest for the Grand Prize.

    The housemates left in the game after week 9 are Ike, Mercy, Mike, Tacha, Seyi, Venita, Elozonam, Frodd, Khafi, Cindy, Diane, and Omashola.

    Esther broke down and began to cry when Nelson was asked to leave the reality TV show.
    TheNewsGuru had reported how Nelson was evicted on Sunday, during the Live eviction show hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
    Weeks back, Esther broke the heart of another housemate, Frodd making him cry weeks before she fell in love with Nelson.

    Big Brother Naija housemate, Esther on Monday night got many talking when she shared a kiss with fellow housemate, Frodd.
    Frodd had earlier burst into tears after Esther turned down his offer to be in a relationship with him.
     
    However, during Truth and Dare game in the house on Monday night, Frodd dared Esther to kiss him.
    She did not hesitate as she planted a kiss on his lips, which caused uproar in the house. In the same vein, he also got a lap dance from Esther.

    Esther has become the first female `pepper dem’ Head of House (HoH) for the fourth season of the Big Brother Naija reality show.
    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that prior to her win on Monday, the position had been occupied by two make housemates, Jeff and Nelson.
    Esther became victorious by winning the ‘‘Memory Challenge’ where housemates were required to memories the numbers of cards found in the house for 20 minutes.
    After the 20 minutes elapsed, the housemates moved to the Arena where Big Brother made a twist to the game.
    According to Biggie, the housemates were a bit too uptight so he decided to spice things up. He made then dance to music for five minutes.
    After dancing, Biggie asked the housemates to guess the location of the numbers in the housent and any housemate who guessed wrongly the location of the numbers would leave the Arena.
    The first casualties were Frodd, Tacha, and Mercy. Tuoyo got disqualified for the second time in two weeks for talking to Omashola during the task.
    Jeff and Mike both got disqualified after breaking the rules. Nelson, Sir Dee, Khafi and Thelma all got axed as they couldn’t keep up with identifying the numbers at the correct locations.
    Omashola, Ike, Jackye, Gedoni, Seyi all could not get their locations correctly with Esther reading all locations correctly, making her the head of house.
    NAN reports that the Head Of House position comes with 250 Bet9ja coins and the special room where the winner will stay for a week.

    It all began when the housemates were commissioned with ideas for a drama presentation by Big Brother. Seyi was picked as the Director while the housemates ruminated on a suitable story-line for the drama
    Things unexpectedly went south as Thelma and Esther got into a very heated argument.The drama began when Esther urged Thelma to stop calling individuals with down-syndrome imbeciles., adding that it is a very wrong word to use.
    Thelma refused to listen to her correction which morphed into an argument.
